Bought the filter since I knew it must be cheaper than having the oil change place do the cabin filter change. Popped the hood. Where does the cabin filter go? Googled this video. Great! Simple! But what 's going to take the 3:37 after the filter's changed in about 60 secs?
OMG! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I found this video and it was really that simple. Then I called my local Honda dealership and found out that it really doesn't $99 to get it replace.
Glad you're all keeping your money in your wallet instead of giving it to the dealer. Pass the info on to those you know.
@FPD - Not sure if you can access the fire wall. I never really thought about it, but it's a pretty deep hole and you can normally access it in most cars through the glove box...depending on how much junk they've crammed in there.
Thank you so much! This is a great video and it will save me lots of money. This is great that being a girl I can do this myself. Nothing against you wonderful ladies who are more self sufficient than me :-)
Thanks for this man... you saved me some money that would have been thrown away for sure. it should illegal for them to charge that kind of money for that boboness!!!
Thanks for the input. I went on U Tube and entered "changing cabin filter for a Honda Civic" and got your video. This is a great help and I showed my husband how easy it was and went though all the motions of changing the filter even before I purchased a new one. It's great that it's so easy.
Thanks for the positive responses. You're all welcome. I hope that it was as easy for you as it was for me. I think I paid about $25 for two cabin filters online. Either way...pretty cheap.
I just have to say thank you, seriously. I have a 2010 civic, and while I had my last oil change performed at the dealer, they informed me I was nearing the time for a cabin and engine filet replacement, And the cabin filter installed itself, was quoted at 140. You are wonderful.
Wats that filter do?
