I love New York! I've been there once! I just asked my best friend if she remembered what I told her after my trip. She said, "Yeah, you told me you like it there. You thought it was beautiful. Got to add one thing just back from NYC, I agree ye are a million miles behind europe when it comes to the upkeep of your city and the Subway is a rat infested, crackhead filled dump. But I got to say the people are very friendly ask anyone a direction and they will help and never in that Middle-America style false politeness. What a place just wish I had more time, but its cheap to get there and if the dollar keeps screwing up it will be cheaper then turkey to holiday in.

it is interesting though the effect the media has. So many people long to live in NY and have the "Friends" lifestyle. Truth is most singles in new york are lonely, overworked, underpaid miserable and using alcohol or some form of narcotic to cope with their miserable stressful lives.

jimmy's corner 144 w 44th on the corner of toys r us in times square. i been goin to nyc for the last 7 years. goin again in june. this bar is in a time warp. which is fuckin brilliant. dimly lit. open til 4am. the juke box is all motown and jazz. which i never would have listened to before i stepped into this place. and just $3 a bud. but if u r lookin to pull, don't even bother!! it's a kind of local where most people know each other.

You don't really appreciate the city as much when you live in it. Granted, it is beautiful, however everything is such a rush that you don't have time to enjoy it.

I can't complain too much, although it's a major rush you get to meet so many people from all over the world. I remember working at Macy's at Herald Square. If you're looking to speak another language New York is the place to be. Great video by the way :-) You showed the charm of the city I seldom get to appreciate.

Just depends. My daughter was stationed in Germany. I flew into Paris, we did 3 days there. LOVED IT!! Did 6 countries total on a small budget. It can be done. Last Christmas My daughter, granddaughter and I went to NYC over the Christmas weekend, only 3 days including travel time. LOVE NYC! We stayed on the go the whole time. Saw the Apollo, Broadway, Trade Center area, Staten Island Ferry, the Rock, St Pat's and more.

If you ever get a chance to go anywhere..GO!!

It doesn't cost that much to Go to NYC especially if you can drive there..and if you have any friends there,then stay with them and leave your car there at thier house and buy a Fun Pass so you can ride the Subway all Day until 12 midnight. the fun pass costs $7.00 and once your there..LOL Just eat at Mcdonalds :) While in Time Square yesterday there is always this guy who stands in the middle of Good Morning America and he is always in his underwear Too Funny!!

Yes people say that you just can't imagine how big the twin towers really were unless you have seen them with your own eyes. That was such an awful day, all those poor people who died (and people are still dying because of the knock-on effect). Its all very sad. :0(

But when I finally could afford to go (after working many 9/10 hour days myself) it was worth every penny. I hope you get you enjoy your whats on your doorstep soon.
