I don't get it. I have titled a video and it is correct when you click on it, but as you scroll through videos it's like 'something7.AVI' ? how do i change this so that the title is the same as when you click on the video...
It is better if you put your subtitles as a separate file, because than people who don't understand your language translate them. And there are a lot of other bonuses.
ah...thanks so much...my head was aching how to use it....ah...really really thank you!!!!!and I don't know why but it seems to have a time duration in the end...I tried fixing it but it doesn't work....
Despite searching all over the place, I still cannot figure out how to join a series of short clips into one movie. You make mention of a previous demonstration of how to use Avidemux. I couldn't find it. Could someone point me in the right direction?
awesome tutorial, just 1 question is there a way to save ur videos from Avidemux instead of saving a file, say for us windows users that have windows movie maker,
Well, you can save the Avidemux file as an AVI file, and then use SUPER (which is free) to convert to WMV, suitable for movie maker. Maybe Movie Maker even supports the importation of AVI files - I'm not sure.
umm........i opened the avi file on avidemux but when i open the subtitle file it all shuts down??? like completely off i have to restart the program all over again

so you recommend to use Avidemux to give format to your subtitles, instead of Jubler?.. I'm trying Jubler, but if I use a new font or color it still will appear as plain white arial like font. dunno how to change that thou...
I use Jubler to create the subtitle (SSA) file, then Avidemux to "burn" the subtitle file onto the video. You only really have to burn the subtitles if you're uploading to a place like YouTube. If you use a player like VLC, then it can add the subtitles on the fly.
There are font settings in Jubler. If you still can't get it to work, then open up the subtitle file you create (it's just plain text), and near the top you see lines relating to font and size. Change those to be more to your liking.
I've recently started subbing for manga, and I'm looking forward to sub anime.

Avidemux works on AVI files. You can append several of them together in Avidemux by selecting menu item
File > Append
