the vast majority of jews outside of (and even in israel) are secular and probably wouldn't recognize a word of scripture let alone let it dictate their political views. there's indeed a fringe element of the orthodox community called neturei karta that's anti-zionist and among the secular there are isolated lunatics like finkelstein and chomsky but the vast majority of jews do support israel: not necessarily specific every israeli policy, but in general they do support israel
