@irongut12345 i know. like with Tales of Symphonia, they say it'll take 80 hours to complete, it took me 20 hours. and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, each character's story would take 15 hours each. took me 5 each.

@100martino Play FF 7, 8, or 9 if you are trying to gain interest in the series. Any of those three are great examples of the series. FF 12 really wasn't that great, comparatively.

actually im not really into rpg´s, i play final fantasy games JUST for the story, i dont care about the gameplay or linearity as long as the story entertains me, and in my opinion ff 13 had a very very strong story i you understood it, i know its a bit confusing at the beginning. but i have to say, i played crisis core on my pc with jpcsp emulator, the gameplay was shit imo but the story was even better than this one, ff has really strong and well written stories and very ggod music

I just got this game today, and I've only played this for 20 minutes. In those 20 minutes, I fell in love the amazing cut-scenes with the redone lip synching and the complex, yet epic battle system. I love you FF XIII !!!!!!!

can someone please tell me why people like this game? the story is awkward, with no real background to it from what i saw, and the majority of the game is walking along a path and watching cutscenes, the battle system was completely destroyed, and the fact that one person dieing in ANY battle ends the game is kinda dumb. i didn't really find the characters very memorable either. please note that im not trolling, just asking a question and expressing my opinion (ive played all the numbered ff's)

@ZenkiUltima the answer is simple; people have very different likes and dislikes. case in point: you think the story is awkward, no real background, battle system is destroyed, etc etc... where as i think the opposite, for all your points :)

and note, the 'dying in any battle ending it (the battle)' only applies to the leader character you're controlling, not anyone

@MANNi30003 Do you mean Final Fantasy the series or this particular Final Fantasy? Because if you mean the series itself that is literally IMPOSSIBLE to answer. Every Final Fantasy is different COMPLETELY and not related to the next or previous. Unless it's FF X and X-2 or XIII and XIII-2. You need to watch, like, the entire game if you want fully understand it. All of the stories cannot be "fully" understood until the very end.
