I wish I could afford to live in a desired period. My interest in history is very diverse however so I can feel 'at home' in anything from 18th century on up, that would be a fine thing.
This is my dream! There will never be anything like the styles, the music, the manners, or the cars of the 20's-40's.... The Archers are my new heroes!!
Gee, I wish I had authentic things. I do love all periods in history and If I could, I would dress up as all of them. But currently I have a vintage style room and 1950s dress and now I want edwardian era clothing, so its growing :) I am just so happy to know there ar eOTHERS out there. i thought it was only me
And I agree, there should be a historical community. While there's Tombstone and Virginia City, I think those are more of a Western thing.
But if there was a large enough population, I'm thinking of a combination between the White City with flairs of classic Roman architecture, along with old London and Paris.
Jeffrey, what a fabulous documentary! Great job! And congratulations on receiving the Aegis award for it. The Archers are such a sweet couple. They really embody the spirit of "living history." Cheers, Jean

Good on you Sir. I myself live in a 'medievel' house of stone.
Candle-lit and log-fire warmed. A cave beneath my parlour too !!

Excellent and well done. We are firmly fixed in the 40s lifestyle and live it to our fullest.

I also have a historical lifestyle, im firmly stuck in the 1930's... but here far away in little old Holland.
And no car for me, thats above my station, ive got a little 1934 bicycle.
Thanks for sharing, people like that and like me should all get together and create a little historical community somewhere~!
