so why do you get estrogen blocker shots as well? i've never heard of this... is it more effective than just testosterone on it's own?

@nathanielelias89 Nathan! Well, it is more effective when you first start HRT at a low dose of T. It stops periods and facilitates faster changes. Once you up the dose though, there's no point in continuing with the estrogen blockers. T suppresses estrogen when it's at higher levels. It's really only useful at the beginning of HRT.
