@LostCauseJoel I don't think they're needed. Especially for the front of the glass. It hinders the touch sensitivity. I don't like them.

@myjailbreakmovies IMO you don't notice a difference, except that it does protect your screen from scratches (I already have multiple large scratches on my screen protector. I have an iPod touch 4G, not an iPhone 4, but they're pretty much the same.
