  • Fuiste enorme Buddy. vaya con Dios amigo.

  • freaking hipster

  • Oh Buddy we'll never forget you R I P

  • Good song is good.

  • Time Machine, anyone?

  • Still Cryin Waitin Hopin for Bud's '58-Crickets to back his Apartment Tapes. C'mon J.I., Joe B., n Tommy do-it-to-it one time for the good ole times - 'til all times end.

  • @DougPatton1 It will never happen, and that is such a shame!

  • i prefer "la bamba" version

  • nice

  • What an amazing legacy he left for rock n roll, in just a short time he gave so much, what would we have had now if he stayed off that tour and that plane

  • Yeah, fuck the space time continuem!

  • I really like this slant on the original, in a lot of ways better, love the backing, yeh, would buy this today, only one buddy holly,

  • This is my drug of choice.

  • if i had a delereon that was a time machine i would go back and save all three of them...........but we can only dream. *sigh*

  • i love this vidieo its my favrit song.

  • When I first saw the link to this on YouTube, it only said "Buddy Holly Crying in Studio"! I was so worried!

  • About as good as it was going to get without Buddy actually there to oversee the song's production.

  • The Fireballs are on the same page as Buddy. Thanks to Norman Petty.

  • It would be cool to have Buddy holly as your guardian angel...

  • THIS IS REALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITES

    TO SING IN KARAOKE..

    MANY PEOPLE DANCE TO THIS

    WHEN I SING THIS ..

  • @TheSilvergold45 You like to be in the spotlight eh?

  • @SayCremeFraiche

    No ....Not at all..

It's just what I do for a living..

I sing and mind my own business..

If you dont like my comment too bad..

  • @TheSilvergold45 OH wow you are really sensitive brah. Relax and go get some spotlight.

  • @SayCremeFraiche

    OK.. Thanks...

  • Buddy I want you to know how much your music has influenced us.

    Thank you Buddy for everything.

    RIP

  • This is the Freballs backing buddy after he died in Norman Petty's studio.

No standup bass. two guitars , bass, and drum.

  • cool tune

  • LOve this song.

  • Buddy > Elvis

  • Just can't get enough of Buddy Holly today! Another great song!

  • Buddy Holly= real music like all bands and music of the time not like todays shit

  • This I think is the best version of crying waiting hoping

  • buddy get out of that plane it will crash

  • The drums are tight and crisp. The standup bass, deep, driving and varied. And both were really dead on and that's were the whomf in this song is all centered. The crickets were tight. Must admit that Buddy's voice has massive strength and clarity too.

  • What a great version!

I Thought until now the ONLY 4 StereO tracks were recorded at Dick James new york and were Raining in my heart/ Moondreams/ It dont matter and one other

Thanks for sharing! Rave On !

  • hey can someone put this on MP3raid so i can download it and put it on a cd to listen to.

  • We can only wonder what would have happend. The Beatles come along in 1963 and Buddy arrives in UK in 1964 to collaborate with Lennon/McCartney/Holley. What magic would we have had? Alas wasnt to be .Rest in Peace guys. We were really robbed of your taelnts Buddy/Ritchie/Bopper. So sad to see that smashed up plane.

  • Capitolemiproducer is right. Holly's voice and acoustic guitar originate from the apartment tapes, and are clearly audible in the center between both my (full range electrostatic) monitors. Yet, the Fireballs and Norman Petty followed Holly's musical lead in detail including recording to high-quality AMPEX tape. Hence, save perhaps, a pronounced Fender Strat solo, the result is 100% Buddy Holly, un-coverable by other artists, sounding as if it's been recorded yesterday.

  • Thanks for posting this exellent stereo mix, so rare for the rest of his beautiful music, regretfully in few hours time it will be 52' anniversarry tragical accident and death of 3 for the time gratest music talents...

  • Buddy already died when this was mixed. The stereo part of it, is the Fireballs.

  • im 67 years old right now.. i missed them. they were gold.. r.i.p Buddyholly, ritchie valens, big bopper

  • @ChewyThaBoss I'm just 65, but i miss them too.

  • What a musical genius this kid was. Viva Buddy Holly!

  • best version yett

  • This version is awesome. It could be released today and be a #1 hit.

  • Now that's what I call music

  • There is other take of this song by Holly here in Youtube, but this one is the best one. "Buddy Holly... I always remember you with tears in my eyes".

  • is it any wander that no one has given this the thumbs down. It's Buddy at his pure best, just a total waste of a young life to be killed so early in his music career.God rest Buddy, hope your still belting them out up there.A+++++

  • @scouse1967 *wonder, not wander. *you're, not your. To type it correctly: "Is it any wonder that no one has given this the thumb's down? It's Buddy at his pure best; just a total waste of his young life to be killed so early in his music career. God rest, Buddy; hope you're still belting them out up there." Great sentiments. I love Buddy too. But... were you homeschooled or something?

  • @talory who gives a damn..no matter what we can still understand..Mr."English teacher"

  • quien no se a quedado asi alguna ves llarando y esperando jajajajaja

  • edicated to CB from Pickles True Luv Uh huh

  • Released after Buddy was killed with backup instruments added later. I believe the only thing they had on the song (originally) was Buddy singing a demo along with only an acoustic guitar that he played. If I recall correctly, the tape was found in his apartment after his death. I also believe that Norman Petty released a version with back up vocals and band as well. Petty had rights to sing and royalties to song because of the bad contract that Holly and Cricketts signed with Petty.

  • There are at least three versions of this, depending on which Buddy Holly retrospective you purchase, and this one packs a bit more punch than the others. I like it. ^_^

  • @DallasHammster very well stated! this arrangement or version is truly spectacular; and packs 1 hell of a punch.

  • Buddy get outa that plane.......

  • @BlackCountryPuddler sick fuck

  • * * * * *

  • nice sound!!!

  • this and 'you're the 1'... the best of buddy

  • Back to my bandstand days!!!!!
