@ffgghhj77 Take a look at Pepe Romero's Malaguena and you will see exactly the same thing happened. This is an exciting Spanish song featuring a traditional Spanish dance and applauding is definitely not something unacceptable (let alone dancing throughout the some). People want to express their outbursts of feeling along with respect toward the artist and it is completely fine as long as the artist feels good.
@ffgghhj77 Some fancy tricks?!! Sorry but those who have no appreciation of one's work do not have the right to judge. He is not John, nor Segovia, nor Paco but he is my teacher. Save your words
@hoahoc1056 sorry if I made you misunderstand my words. You have good reasons to :) I didn't say it's bad. It depends on different ways of enjoying the music really. If you applause at everything that sounds good, then you'll be applausing from start to end lol! In most formal concerts, it's not very polite to do so since it'll distract other listerners (and probably the musicians).
@ffgghhj77 Well it was not really a formal concert. All the people were his family and friends. Of course we cannot expect people to applaud (applause is a noun) during Alhambra or Gran Jota but as I've said this piece is exciting and somewhat "informal". There are some points that the emotions of both the artist and the audience are at peak and applauding is necessary to please the performer.
@ffgghhj77@ffgghhj77 Maybe you personally find it impolite but just do a research on the etiquette of applause and I think you will see it is acceptable. Sorry if my words were offensive. :)
@ffgghhj77 agreed! this guy is amazing, and the audience has good intentions when applauding, but it is certainly disruptive and makes it harder to hear the "fancy tricks" he's playing

I don't feel right when people applause in the middle of the piece just for some fancy tricks :| That's not the way classical music should be taken.

Some even shouted during the applause.
