@abarrathemaster No, it is not a book illuminating some "happy land" but a book that describes the way a monk or guru can help the one dying to transition to the next reality. It is instructional in that it offers comfort merely by its content for a sublime transition from a physical being to one of the mind and then into another physical being unlss nibbana has been reached. In that case, there will be no rebirths and suffering ends for that particular creature.

Wow, that is so cool! I know a Lama who lives near me who can chant like that. It is chanting using your throat, you can actually split your voice box into 2 halves and make multiple sounds at once. Maybe he will teach a group to do that.

OK, I'm a Silent Hill(a video game)fan. I have just notice something...Influences on the game developers: the movie Jacobs Ladder and a movie call Bardo Thodol. The thing is that this chanting looks just like the song "prayer". It's in the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack. I'm very emotional right now...lol. just kidding!
