  • I think I noticed a USCG flight helmet in that turbine! lol

  • I want to be an ag pilot but I only have like 250 hours in a little taildrager that I built.. and only a recreational license. I know that there are a couple schools but do you know any opperators that would work with a hard working wisconsin farm boy? I do really nice fabric work too.. have done 5 planes, but no a&p license cause I don't want anything to do with jets or aluminum.

  • best video still out there, keep the props turning

  • sorry to hear about johnny. knew about the crash for somtime now , just getting to say sorry .He will be missed. What we do for a living may seem fun but things like that cloud up the fun and 12 to 14 hours a day 7 days a week is tough on the butt. I would not trade it for anything.

  • @bigbull2000 Yea Johnny was a super cool guy, and he is missed. He lived and breathed ag flying, thats was no doubt. I know its work when there is flying going on. Its like alot of other things, its a big ole pile of fun at first, but after a while, its work and its can be tough. Be safe out there and I should have another video up in a few weeks. Thanks for watching, catch you later.

  • Im a farmer and hire dusters a few dozen times a year but ive always wondered, are the planes rated for inverted flight? Is the HUD light setup your next pass indicator? Do all the ag planes have a cramped back seat in them? Anything a farmer can do to make your job easier? Thanks for keeping the crops healthy!

  • @hondadrift ...Thanks for watching the video and for your questions.....no, the planes arent really rated for inverted flight. But as long as you can maintain positive g's, you could probably do an interesting maneuver or two. The "light bar" mounted out in front of the windshield is linked to the GPS guidance and helps the pilot line up for the next pass. Not all ag planes have a cramped back seat in them, Thrush planes have a nice back seat!! LOL Not all ag planes have a back seat.

  • If you want to help the pilot, try not to wait until the last minute for a spray job, have your maps readily available. Thanks for growing your crops and using ag pilots, Im sure they/us appreciate your business and confidence.

  • hey mate im going to be a crop duster as soon as i build enough hours!! thats my goal~

  • Sorry, I meant to say "Crop Dusters". (Damn auto spellcheck).

  • I've always wondered why does the side of the cockpit on crop sisters say "RESTRICTED"?

  • Does anybody know who the artist on the first song is? It's a cover of buck owens' made in japan.. right?

  • @jdeerefarmer3 Yea, thats the name of the song, but this version is sung by The Kentucky HeadHunters. Check out the credits at the end of video. Thanks for watching and keep an eye for something new up here. Catch you later.

  • @FlyinTruckr thanks! yeah i didn't catch the end of the video but i see it now.

  • Wow. The only time I want to be that close to the ground in a plane is A-when landing or B-when taking off. :-P

  • @TheWingflyer I can understand what you mean. Thank you for checking out the video. I hope to have one made this summer in HD. I hope you have safe skies and great flying.

  • why the LOUD shitty music......................

  • @hateliberals1 , too bad you don't like the music, but lucky for you, there are lots of other flying videos to check out.

  • I used to work for Jim Craft of Craft air in Farmville NC (Craft field W-38 I think) in the 90's. we used Pawnee 235's. I've never heard of Craig Craft. Did they buy the name after Jim died and Rodney and Bob closed the door? Heath sold his intrest to Bob after he got po'ed at a pilot wh kept messing with his mind stuff like flying left of the runway with heath yelling turn right, we are on the other side.

  • @hearsejr , thanks for checking out the video, the guy who owns this flying service is a whole different Craft. Craig Craft is from MS and now lives here in NC. He is of no relations to the Crafts you asked about. However, Craig knows these people, I do not, and had nice things to say.

  • @FlyinTruckr kewl deal..Jim Craft sr died a while back, and we kept the airfield going for a couple of years, till it got to costly to run. we had Pawnee 235's and a couple of first time ag pilots ran out of fuel and crashed the planes..one was in a school yard in the middle of Farmville. now we are now starting a aero club at the old place. maybe yall can drop by when it's done.

  • @FlyinTruckr Just drop us a line here on YouTube

  • 3:00 ouch

  • Hey man, is Craig selling all his stuff? I saw his plane for sale on-line. Heard about Johnny, my condolences!

  • Can't imagine crop dusting is an easy life. But, from the outside looking in it looks like you guys are suckin' every last drop of fun out of it. Rock on and keep posting!!! PS music's just fine but let the planes have their say too...

  • @erniegannsmate ...glad you like the video, I just posted another video up a few days ago. Have a good one.

  • Comment removed

  • You look like a good pilot. How long did it take to be comfortable flying? Also, would $30,000 be enough to buy a simple plane?

  • good to see some good flying with a bit of "professional" fun.

I dont know what it is...but aviators are a breed all their own.

  • @destin325 ...Glad you like the video!! Stay tuned for another this summer.

  • Great one guys, love the flying, the music, everything!! Can't wait to go to the Ag pilot school in Bainbridge Ga. Looking forward to your next videos.

  • @flyboyzach07 ...Thanks for the flowers...good luck down in GA and be safe. We are in the beginning stages of making a new video, takes some time though, stay tuned!!

  • I love your video!!!!!!!! Love Air Tractor!!!!

  • Being an old (not bold....thats why I'm old) crop duster, I wanted to hear the old ones run. Hope I didn't piss you off too much. Good luck in your upcoming ventures!

    c

  • @capnchip No Im was never pissed. Just hope you enjoy the next upcoming videos. I have a couple of clips Im goig to post in the next few days.

  • nice video...too bad they ruined it with that crappy music put in there. The real music comes from the planes!!!!

  • @capnchip Sorry you don't like the music, I have a few other flying videos with no music. I am planning on another video in next couple of months, but there will probably be music as it will be an edited, finished product. I am planning on putting out short non-music clips.

  • Holy crap! Tail wheel got pretty close there eh? Nice flyin gentlemen.

  • Great Video!! Nice to see an old 301 still out there getting it done. I work at Air Tractor and love my job. We are building 2 401s this half. I love the sound of that 1340. Thanks for the great video again.

  • buen video¡¡

  • Gracias!

  • know anyone with some round engined tractors or cats that'd give someone a start in the industry? I have 500 hours of tailwheel

  • Dont' let Obama see you guys having so much fun,,,I'm sure he'd figure out a way to make you redistribute all of that fun.

  • YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!! And always remember - NO USER FEES!! Thanks for watching and pass it around. ;)

  • Watching these as a kid inspired me to jump from a perfectly good plane. Be safe CropDusting guys and watch out for electric lines. Airborne RANGERS Lead The Way!!!!!!!!!!

  • We'll look out for the power lines, you just make sure that chute opens up!! ;) Thanks for your service to the country. Thanks for watching and pass it around. Thanks

  • What a life! Love the smiles, the tunes and of course the incredible flying!

  • I appreciate the flowers (compliments). We all have a good time and think Ag flying is awesome. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for upcoming videos.

  • Nice job FT. Great video clips and the music is dialed in too! That GPS is really sweet. Beats holding the flag in turnrows. Ya'll just cover East NC? Jonny we hardly knew ya. RIP

  • Thanks for the nice compliments. The GPS makes accurate application so much easier than just "winging it." The flying service covers alot of eastern NC, VA, Eastern Shore of VA and MD, as well as some work in the mid-west in IN, OH, ILL,and Iowa. Jonny was a helluva guy and a great friend who is dearly missed. Thanks for watching and have a good one.

  • Take off the Dumb Music!! The Engines are the best Music out there!

  • Well then its good that I have several other shorter videos with lots of engine/airplane noise. Engine noise rules, but this was a different kind of video. Thanks for watching, pass it around and fly safe.

  • are you the same plane that destroyed my electric lines last week? :(

  • That was not any of these airplanes, but another operator. Sorry about the electric lines, but there was probably $20,000 or more damage to the airplane - you are the lucky one . Thanks for watching.

  • ha 3:01 I was saying the same thing!

  • Johnny Wilson, you left us too soon. Somehow, those of us you left behind have to find comfort in knowing you were exactly where you wanted to be that day...doing what you loved doing. Godspeed.

  • AMEN BROTHER! I am glad I got to know as long as I did. I am sure he's in Cropdus' heaven flying some 5 mile long rows on 2 gallon work with a 500 gallon Thrush. Jonny was the best....Jonny was my best good friend....Jonny was The CropDus' --- Missing ya SuperHero!!

  • you guys got big balls!

  • ;) Its a burden we must bare!! Glad you enjoyed it!! ;)

  • Good footage, shame about the music if ya can call it that I would rather hear the sound of round any day.

But good work keep it happening do you know where I can pick up a good Ag cat?

  • Great vid, Crop Dus', love it!!

  • I appreciate the flowers, glad you enjoyed it. We plan on putting another video together sometime over the summer. ENJOY!!

  • Great video! What's being sprayed, by the way? is it safe to be so close to it?

  • We are spraying row crops, wheat, corn, etc....safe to be close? -- well we have changed out some onboard plumbing and filmed while pressure checking new equipment with water. Thanks for the question and stay tuned, we are planning another video sometime over the summer. ENJOY!!

  • Where are some AgCats...

  • We don't have an AgCats in the area. At this field there are 3 Thrushes and 1 AirTractor.

  • I'm suprised judging from the field sizes (small) and the tress/obstacles it seems like a good fit for an Agcat.

  • There are just as many wide open blocks of land as small jib cuts of land. The owner of Craft Air Services is a big ole fan of Thrushes as I am of Kenworth trucks

  • If I had to fly a monoplane for ag it would be a Thrush. However, I will take my turbine Cat over any other ag plane any day.

  • by far, the best cropdusting video around! thanks for sharing! it didnt even seem like 8:50... A+++ to everyone involved!

  • I appreciate the flowers, I'm glad you enjoyed it...please pass it around to cropdus' fans. Thanx again.

  • the vid is awesome, tnx 4 sharing

  • great video, thanks
