good tutorial, but don't tell us it's "The Right Way" when it is really a half-step down from what you're playing; had I completely followed your tutorial, I would be playing this the incorrect way when my whole band is listening to the actual song; it's not a huge deal, because we probably would've figured it out(like the guy in the comments above has), but maybe you should take out '(The Right Way)' from your title, just a suggestion, still a good tutorial though!
It's a good tutorial but every not is half a step down from what you are playing. So in the left instead of E, C, D, A.. it should be E flat, B, D flat, A flat. Hope I helped!
@RSylvTheGreat True but these chords are easier on a keyboard just transpose it down half a step. The band does it themselvs, watch the live vids closely, especially the ones in a radio studio
@klindro5 You're right, you're right. I did see the live version with the change over. Plus the white keys would be easier for beginner piano as well! Nicely done!
Nowhere!!! read the top line in my video. It states that I watched live videos of the band themselves very closely. The chords are simple, but I believe they transpose the keyboard down a half step and play it using the simpler chords that i have shown.
@kellbellchumbles It is a Yamaha DGX-500 Digital Keyboard. The keys are plastic but touch sensitive. I like that about it but wish the keys were weighted a bit more. Great keyboard, have had it for about 5 years now!
He would do that so it's easier to play. People do that a the time. Maybe they play it a half step higher in concert but I'm telling you I have a pretty good ear and the studio recording of the song is a half step down from where you play it.
I don't think I have ever heard of that. Why would he electronically transpose it, when he could just play different chords. Watch the live shows. Guitars have no capos and still play major chords. Until they release a sheet music book, it's all speculation!!!
@klindro5 he just means the extra note you play in between some of the chords to tie the two chords together. like when you start playing the song at 0:39, in the middle of the two chords you play a b note. i'm pretty sure that's what he meant. canE, once you can play those chords you can just kind of go by ear the why he did here when he started playing.
@canEHdian1988 you said this a long time ago but.... when you are playing the right hand chords, try to spread the base chords in your left hand so it fills in the gaps, sustain helps as well ;)
thanks for the comment, I just figured out the rest of it too. Will post a complete overhead "How to" when I get the chance. Practicing it now, so I can have minimal mistakes when i record myself

Therefore you suck , as you cannot have the courtesy to share sheet music with some of us who use generics that provide sheet music...

@canEHdian1988
Not quite sure what your asking. Are you hatin' or asking how to make a fuller sound from your playing?
klindro5 1 year ago
@klindro5 he just means the extra note you play in between some of the chords to tie the two chords together. like when you start playing the song at 0:39, in the middle of the two chords you play a b note. i'm pretty sure that's what he meant. canE, once you can play those chords you can just kind of go by ear the why he did here when he started playing.

@klindro5 i think he means to ask how to "embellish" the chords so that they have the little notes in between the chords
mikeandike76 11 months ago
@klindro5 i think he just means those couple notes you play in between the different chords
:) great playing btw! thanks so much for this video
ShadyJenkinz 10 months ago
@canEHdian1988 I believe it's because he used the pedal & maybe a bit of an echo, rather than just playing it without anything.
