  • I'd never thought I'd learn this...until now. Thanks buddy!

  • is that a Gary Moore les paul?

  • @sportsportsport It is/was

  • good

  • Screw the good lesson, I'm feasting my eyes on that great LP.

  • BEST ROCK TEACHER EVER UR THE BEST

  • omg u are so awesome i learn much from u

  • OMG this guy actually knows what he's doing! Great video!

  • I've always played the last part of that riff pivoting on the 2nd fret A string while walking up 4, 5, 6, 7 on the E string.

  • @Kaaru Indeed, that's the way Angus himself plays it. When I did the video I had always felt that was a bit of a stretch and assumed it was played on the E string.

  • @mastertheguitar Yeah, it is more difficult to play that way. I can't stretch, so I have to shift quickly between positions for the last few notes. The way you play it in this video is much more manageable.

  • Great lesson. Can you give more zoom to the left hand?

    Greetings

  • @javortgon Thanks man! Later vids have a close up shot, only had one camera back then :)

  • man u rock! thanks a lot

  • Dude, the first vid you teach us to play is AC/DC?!?!? ALRIGHT! I <3 Angus Young! I subscribed to you because of this!

    Rock on! \m/

  • Could've sworn i was listening to the real thing.

  • i cant get the fist fill th 3 0 30 30

  • its awesome how angus young is one of the only higher level guitarists who uses open chords in essentially every song, and makes it sound wicked kickass

  • @Redsox07rbeast well also you got malcom, who wrote all the songs and riffs. plus you have both of em playing at same time so it sounds like its more powerful

  • @Redsox07rbeast thats true actually never thought of that, all these days its just power chords!

  • Can you say me the settings on the legacy? its different than the trash tone that you use for the other songs... THNKS

  • I assume you mean 'thrash' tone? ;)

Can't recall the settings exactly for this but I run the Legacy with high mids typically about 7 with high Treble and Presence also around 7 or 8.

    HTH

  • emm trash tone like the Metallica tones :) ..... or stuff like that haha srry

  • Thanks mate! I'm a novice guitarist who has got this one now! Working on my Velvet Revover! The best and easiest to follow online guitar lesson I've seen yet! Thanks again.

JamPlayDotCom sucks! They think you do a pull-of on the "D" power chord. Way to go, and thanks!

  • ure the best !

  • dude you are an awesome teacher

  • How many guitars do you have; you have a different one every video. Then again, when someone is as good as you...

  • Nice, love you videos mate! I'm right now looking for a really good and powerful metal amp, can you recommend any? :)

  • ENGL's are pretty extreme if you can get a go of one to try :)

  • Yeah sure! At the local store they have a whole stack of ENGL's :D

  • dude get a marshall

  • Err no thanks ;)

  • nice job : )

  • Thanks alot for the lessons man. BTW how many guitars do you have?! :)

  • I want your amp :) Cool videos btw. Your tone is great.

  • great vid man...thanks alot for not just playin the song with a close up of your hands. this is one of the few

videos online at is actually a lesson.

  • good vid, the only acdc song i can play is like 44 sec inot highway to hell lol

  • Yeah Legacy is a valve amp :). The Les Paul is a Gary Moore sig model. The neck humbucker is a stock Burstbucker which was orientated b/w. I swapped out the bridge pickup for another zebra pickup, a Seymour Duncan JB which is standard as w/b. And yes I love the w/b b/w look for two zebra pickups :).

  • AWESOME raw rock n roll tone..can i ask you what is in your guitar rig for this clip? I am guessing maybe that sweet soldano behind you? Definitly sound like a nice tube amp. My favorite parts are when you play open chords/power chords that ring out, the way your amp's voiced it makes this metallic tube sound, very nice...let me know how ya get that? like at 2:02 is just kick ass sounding!

  • Rig was simply Les Paul -> Carvin Legacy with ambient mic. HTH :).

  • thanks, i've been wanting to learn this. yay for scots!
