  • where im from we pronounce creek like its spelled "crick"

  • gay

  • Comment removed

  • @408bayareakid agreed

  • Great video keep them coming.

  • The forest fed the Indians for 10,000 years without solar cells, generators, plastic water bucket, (was that an air conditioner I saw??) light bulbs or guns. It can be done. It has to be all about what you KNOW, not what you have. And that may take a lifetime to learn. Good luck, interesting project.

  • r you really up in someones camp? thats real smart

  • That place looks ideal for a bug out and the occasional weekend get away

  • This guy reminds me of Seth Galifinakis.

  • In a survival situation I have considered trying to grow plants in buckets, just simple stuff. Would maybe have to put some kinda screen around em to keep the animals off em. Any feedback?

  • @wildernessshouter Something that deer dont like to eat. Holly bushs, rose bushs. ect. Rasberry bushs.

  • That dude looks like undercover FBI better not catch his FED. Ass at my deer camp.

  • Keep snooping around other people's camps like that and you're going to get a bullet in your ass.

  • @pkdiddy - I'am a member of that deer camp, nobody is going to be shooting anyone.

  • man i need a place like this

  • That's a good lil place to camp!

  • Looks like my homeless camp I'm going to build!

  • you don't want solar panels they give off to much glare and can be seen from aircraft you can yse a gen. in the daytime to charge batts. for night use

  • I would hang fish hook at eye level to keep people outta my camp!

  • what are soler sellls.

  • THAT SUMBITCH IS IN MY CAMP!!!!!

  • @alicenchains59 hahahahahahahahah. That made me laugh :)

  • Dude! Get away from my ice shanty! I'm just storing it at my uncles place for now!

  • If you used oil lamps, had a small surplus box stove to cook and heat with you wouldnt need sollar panels or a generator. I really love the place you have here though, building my own soon!

  • good idea

  • sounds like seth galifinakis

  • can we see inside/

  • How long do you think you can hold out till the ACORN folks catch up with you?

  • i live in florida..close to georgia...i plan on hunting and camping way up north where theres more scenery wildlife and adventure...been playin in these boring woods to long..thanks for your vids

  • I have been hunting turkey and other foul for a long time with a bow and have no problem with cleaning birds. I was wondering if you have a video on how to clean big game like deer, elk, moose, bear or what ever else may be in North America and what can be used for what inside the gam aside from just meat.

  • I"ve been listening to "the survival podcast" by Jack Spirco, he's been endorsing permaculture techniques. And the way it can work for a remote location is you dig your rain catchment swells now (basicly ditches on a slope with the earth piled on the low side) so they can catch the runoff and give it a chance to soak in. You plant food bearing trees on the low side and mulch them heavily. Once those are taking hold you can go ahead and plant perennials and persistent crops. It's a food forest

  • then dont watch. at the begining he says this will give you an idea of what a deer camp is(.12) . I think that he gave the info that was posted on the title of the video. so there is info in the video

  • Because it shows practical implementation and not just a list or slide show. Not all "bug out" caches or hidden camps are palatial... Hmmm come to think of it; I don't know of ANY that are.

  • electranime- why are dipshits like you still on youtube stop critisizing videos you dont like if you dont like if u dont like em dont watch em DUH

  • thats my camp

  • nice camp

  • Which one of those ruger 22 pistols would you recommend?

  • I will let u know what I have & u can take it from there.

Ruger Mark II with a 6" bull barrel & Ruger Super Single 6 with a 6 1/2" barrel. The Single 6 comes with 2 cylinders so u can shoot Magnums.

Both guns r accurate & fun 2 shoot. I can hunt rabbits, squirrel or plink cans with em. I like both of em about the same amount, with the edge going 2 the Mark II. simply because of quick follow up shots. The single six has the advantage of the .22 magnum, but i personally dont use it much.

  • i have a F.I.E. model lil ranger in 22 LR 4.3 inch heavy barrel i put some CCI stingers in there or i use CCI 22 cal shotgun rounds and ive been eating rabbit 3 days a week more if i wasnt getting bored of it and the garden is much bigger this year lots of canning going on love this channel its so helpful

  • There are some 22 LR ammo in Cabelas which is made in Argentina. The claim 1750 fps with the 33 grain HP. From the sound of the ammo it is pretty hot. I found them to be more accurate in my .22 Ruger Rifle and handguns than the stingers. You may want to give em a try. I liked em enought to buy 1000 rds

  • Sir I have the same guns. The Mark II is a fine hand gun. It is a lot more fun to shoot. How ever, I find the Single 6 to be my fav. Last year I shot a Fox with the Magnum, end of story for him. You can do the same with the Mark II, BUT that hit from the Magnum round, well Let just say, one shot one kill.

  • A Mag in any caliber always has the benefit of more energy. I have a single 6as well, with a Mag cylinder, but rarely use the it. Aguilara Ammunition from Argenina gives u Magnum velocity & energy with a Long Rifle cartridge. Its the hottest LR round n the world. Faster than Stingers. thats what I use now & prefer them over the mag. They r also considerably cheaper than mags. U can get them through Cabelas, delivered 2 your front door. But n a rifle, hands down the Mag is the way 2 go.

  • thanks for the replay, I will look for the 22 rounds you spoke of. If I like them I will drop you a line.

  • I made alot of 150 yd shots with that ammo in Ruger 10/22. Check out Cabelas online and go to the ammo section.

  • @nitroexpress700 My chronograph says 1780 for that ammo with a heavier bullet. Buy what you want, its a free country last time I heard. I use normal CCI mini mags but wont use stingers. Unless stingers have changed, they wont pass through a jack rabbit. Aquilars bullets are heavier and cheaper. I buy em by the lot of 1000 and wont shoot anything else anymore. I like Mini Mags but stingers are crap. The mini mag is good, but I wouldnt use stingers for a fishing weight.

  • @nitroexpress700 U must need glasses or I got an exceptional lot of bullets. My chronograph shows 1780 fps with long rifles with a heavier bullet than stingers. Mini Mags are good but I prefer Aguilar LR rounds over Stingers. They shoot better.

22 LR/Mag, 9mm & 5.56 mm is the only ammo I buy. I reload everything else from .45-70 & .405 win, to 22-250. I have compared the stingers to Aguilara & the chronograph dont lie. But u buy Stingers, competition is good, it keeps the price down.

  • @nitroexpress700 I dont buy stingers because they break up and dont have any energy. The bullet breaks up severly which is the reason for the poor penetration. Please, continue to buy stingers, it is competition and keeps the price down on the ones I like. Stingers sound good on paper but performance in the field is crap.

  • @nitroexpress700 Since when did FPS kill. Accuracy and penetration kills. FPS is a luxury. I dont buy anything because where its made. Stingers dont compete with these Aquilar bullets. Not as accurate and bad penetration because of weight. American Ammo is just too expensive. Thats why I hand load all ammo except for 22, 5.56 and 9 mm. Stingers are faster than mini mags and other standard LR rounds. Mini Mags are great.

Remember speed does not kill unless its cars or drugs.

  • @democratichypocrit i hand load as well, i think some how you must of thought i was flaming the shit out of you that was not my intention..... sorry if i got you fired up im a fellow hunter as well i my self am a slow and heavy fan not a speed fan again sorry to set ya off didnt mean to. and as a side note i use a 22 mag for all my rim fire work i dont even bother with a long rifle any more

  • awesom!

  • That's a nice little camp you've got there!

  • Organic is always preferable, but in a pinch-situation, where it is eat veg or get scurvy, beri-beri, or whatever, I think it is more important to bring SOMETHING to the table. Better to be prepared with chem fertilizer and insecticide. Can be stored for LONG periods without degradation.

  • thats a cool little camp

  • You need some stairs and it would be awesome.

  • hi i am geting a .22 rifle for hunting what should i get

  • ruger 10/22 best 22 out there by far

  • 10/22 NONE OTHER

  • i have a marlin model 60, its a good rifle but the ruger 10/22 is faster to reload and is accurate

  • It depends, everyone reccomends the Ruger 10/22 mainly for the magazine capacity and because it is extremely customizable. I do agree, but there are some rifles out there that are so much more accurate (Savage MKII). I own both and the Savage is so much more accurate, I mainly use my Ruger as a home defense weapon, it has a 30 round mag capacity and a lightweight, foldable stock. But I can hit bottles at 150 yards with the Savage no problem. It all depends on what your setting is really.

  • well, i think my marlin 60 is alot more accurat than the 10/22. i was just saying that the 10/22 is faster to reload but my marlin 60 holds 18 rounds

  • ya i use my little 10/22 as home defence people say what are you going to do with that people dont understand that a 10/22 is perfect size

  • Right, and shot placement is all that counts, and if I don't get it right the first time, there's 29 more coming your way.

  • i will be geting a savage MKll soon

  • Good choice.

  • Why not just build something like this underground? That way the temperature would be more regulated and you probably wouldn't even need AC(might need heat depending on the climate).

It would act as a good fallout shelter as well if you make one of these underground.

  • better rent a backhoe for that one

  • i tend just 2 use traps

  • I passed my hunters education couse with a 94% 2nd highest in the class and My grandpa bought me the life time hunting licence.

  • Nice video bro and good tips u gave.

    5/5

  • post a video with the biggest gun you have P.P. Good video!

  • another good video.

  • Where would you recommend that I buy a solar strip? I have looked on ebay but and uncertain what to get. Say 3 12 v lights and a lower power radio. If needed I could turn off some things and plug in some 15 min charge batts. if I had to. What do you think?

  • PartisonConfederate - if you are looking for small and portable, look at the local sporting goods store in the deer feeder section. There are some 12 volt solar chargers that mount on the side of a deer feeder leg.

Also, visit the survivalistboards forum and post your questions there. The members of the forum will be able to point you in the right direction.

  • Haha I'm British and have never shot a gun, or hunted, but I always look forward to your videos! Keep it up mate!

  • m3voj - thank you. Your not a member of the forum? There is a UK section and we have a lot of British members.

  • Thanks for the reply! It impresses me when people reply to comments. I may just join the forum, thanks for the invite! Keep up the great work in these great videos. All the best, Adam.

  • Im taking my hunter ed test on saturday and sunday have any advice?

  • Well, I do. I got a 100% on the test and before I saw that I was nervous as hell. Just relax, listen carefully to the instructors, as they give many hints. HINT: Think muzzle safety! Write keywords or highlights in your book ( if you get one) and try your best. It is very easy. Writing your information on the personal address packet is harder than the test! Good luck! I hope you succeed!

  • Love your videos

  • KrinkleKuts - thank you. Be sure to visit the website.

  • thats a nice little simple set up. i agree add a little garden there and BAM your good to go =] which is easier though? water purification pills or the use of a filter system?

  • nice video do you fish ? if you do try making a video about it. I dont see mush fishing out of much mabe two videos of you fishing

  • I don't think Solar would work very well once the trees get leafed out. The trees would block all the sunlight.

  • I agree, the trees would have to be cut back. A tall tower wind generator would be better for a power source up there.

I like your videos. They give me more to think about. Thanks for sharing these ideas.

  • bedfordpreneur - you could also use solar powered sidewalk lights. Move them into the sun during the day, and then into the cabin at night. They would act like a candle, but with no fire hazard.

And be sure to visit the forums on the website.

  • I would have liked to see what that little hut looks like on the inside. It's also nice to see some new vids after so long, please make more.

  • A lot of the questions that are being posted here should be asked at the survivalistboards forum. You will get a lot more information at the forum, then you can get here.

  • thanks again john, good info. what would you do in the case of a emergany get to a campo say 2/4 hours away. what would be your plan to get there

  • alger71 - Who is John?

  • Who is John Galt?

  • There's a video about how to use 2 liter bottles, water, and bleach, as lights... They only work during the day because they use the sun, but then they wouldn't have to use their generator during the day unless they wanted the air conditioner on.

  • Good Deal! What are they using to filter the creek water? Also, what is the Kw rating on the genny?

    Neat Vid,

    John

  • jstrunck - My personal generator is around a 7,200 kw.

Sometimes water purification tablets are used, sometimes water filters.

  • yer gerator would be 7.2 kw not 7,200

  • Thank you for that correction.

  • srry if i sounded like a smart ass, i cant help it

  • Great shack, and yeah the solar cells are a perfect idea. What happens when fuel for the generator is no longer available.

I would utilize both with a transfer switch.

  • nice hunting hut. yeh, i would have given it a camo paint job.

by the way, was that an a/c unit at 1:39?

solar panels and 12volt battery is a great idea.

i have installed 12v LED lights and 12v fluorescent lights at my cabin so battery lasts longer between recharges.

normal 12v globes or 12v halogen lights seem to drain the battery faster...

  • profesas - using LEDs are an excellent suggestion. Thank you for sharing that with us.

  • Very nice camp.

A couple small wind generators on the roof to help the solar panels on cloudy day's and seed's for a garden. Real nice video 5*

  • Five Stars!!

  • about the solar cells, as you should know, you need a lot of daylight to be efficient, a forested area may not have sufficient sunlight coverage for proper solar cell use, just my opinion.

they also fail during cloudy days, if your here in eastern canada, you'll notice a lot of clouds and low sunlight, that's why we can't use solar cells, can't depend on them when we need them.

  • get better solar cells because they can work in low light just not as efficent for solar cells the good ones just cost a good chunk of money...

  • loved this video

  • thanks for the info

  • dear friends the a/c from a normal car can cool that room down and/or heat it up an if can find abanded auto every part is 12volt lights radio heater ,a/c Everything just everything can be use in a deer camp shoot even the seats of a old car solar is a great idea because of the noise of the generators can warn the people that you are trying to stay away from I would love to get the meat but this disabled old man has to rely on others

  • Great info, really got me thinking, thanks.

  • I would camo it.

  • ya me too...... so fruits like him cant find it

  • Good to see you back. I haven't seen any videos from you in a while. I have a question. I know you have a good amount of MRE's, I saw in one of your videos. Where can I get them really really cheap?

  • deepwater1974 - if you will check on the website, we have some merchants there that should be able to help you out.

  • Take a lot of batteries to run that a/c... Don't ya think??

  • HLCpromow - once you switch to solar, the AC would not be an option.

  • PRetty nice.

Thats the size of my dorm room lol

    That may even be bigger

  • Nice shack and camping area!!

  • Nice little shack.

  • But they got a AC unit. They couldnt run that with some solar cells.

Its more for comfort the need for the generator.

  • very nice canp im looking to do something like this here in virginia good vid
