  • Great debunk! I do believe in ghosts though. There's so much in this world we don't know about yet. Unseen energy.

  • haha. news reporters come in and everything all over a bug

  • It even moves like a bug!

  • Dude ur awesome,i dont believe in ghosts but it was kinda creepy, thanks for the explanation!!!! :D

  • ohhhh bugger i just shared the first footage on my facebook saying to my friend i don't know if it true..then read this bugger bugger bugger i think ur right :0) i neally believed it

  • thanks. did you send this video to the idiots at CNN ohio? it should be on TV, to help educate the masses and shed light into the dark minds of ignorance.

  • Thank you for being reasonable. It never ever was a ghost, as there isn't any such thing.

    The end.

  • This makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!

Excelente video.

  • Okay, people saying that we can only see 1% of the matter before us, this is clearly a bug. There are too many flaws that make this plausably a ghost. The evidence is clearly there

  • that blue dot in video is oly bug you moron wake up and use your brains and you see it's only bug in the surveillance camera lens nothing more

  • I agree turbo nerd

  • nice job Sherlock, I never would have put this together, But it all makes sense the way you explained it. I now believe for a fact the blue ghost is a fake.

  • This was an excellent video analysis. Great job!

  • It seems totally plausable its a bug. It seems to almost be an ilness in some people, who want to believe in the strangest things at the drop of a hat. With no real proof or thinking behind preposterous conclusions.

Please dont anyone reply; 'Dude the proof is fricking there on the screen!' or I will probably cry...

  • @terryperring104 Dude the proof is fricking there on the screen!

  • @DjDemolic Boo hooo hooo!

  • I believe it maybe sorta kinda think so.. u get the picture. GOOD INFO!

  • This is a nice truth, but do you believe in the paranormal that can't be explained? Like do you think that the movie "Paranormal enitity" Or "8213: Gacy House" Could happen in real life?

  • Wow good explanation, at first I thought it was a ghost. Good detective work. Science prevails, testing hypothesis. I do believe in ghosts though.

  • THANK YOU. THE NOSY owners who watch EVERY movement on their "Beloved" Gas Station think this is some Blue-Ghost! Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot (WTF?). SHE (the Wife-Owner) states there are no Bugs in Ohio, in the winter! Say What? How about BLUE-BOTTLE FLIES? They are 1) BLUE, 2) They scavenge (A Food Mart-Gas Station)NO FOOD THERE!...NOT! 3) It could be a Luna (means MOON, DOPESS) Moth (Green-translucent) hit with various colored lights. I don't live in Ohio, But I found over 29 bugs by doing a SEARCH

  • good video. you should send the owner this video. I just saw this fool on TV, Bio station, a segment called "my ghost story" This guy is completely obsessed and really thinks its a ghost. ridiculous.

  • @aks767676 DITTO...that was the weak-Ass story. It is not a Bug (cause there are no bugs in the winter)! Gee that owner must be a college graduate to come up with that answer. "I can watch my store over the internet" Translation: "I don't have a life, So...I watch my employees 24/7 I HOPE they rip me off! It isn't "Lint." How do you know this? Did you ask the camera? This couple have got to get out more often, other than looking at a bug/dirt on a camera lens for 30 minutes!

  • gj dude, dont vory about this thard cocaine he is very "intelegent" retarded i****, u did make diference.. gj again

  • Fake and gay.

  • Good work! I'm impressed !

  • Great! pause at 3:24 and u can even see the antennae.

  • Nice job. But I'd LOVE to see you explain our picture. It's a honest to god FACE! And not some dumb out-of-focus thing either. Clear as anything. Actually, there's a full-body figure and a hand too, but we might have figured those out.

  • OMG!! HIS BED IS HUANTED BY THE SAME GHOST!!!!*GASP* lol

  • : D

  • the guy didnt even make his bed when he showed the ghost hovering..... LAZY!

  • I agree with the guy who made the video, it's an insect on lince BUT! I'm not saying that I don't believe in ghosts, or other unexplainable things, because I know there are spirits around us. some of us can "see" them, some can feel them, and some do not believe in "them" but one thing is certain, it was not a ghost at the gas station. - cathrine (denmark)

  • Wow... that blows away my belief in angels

  • Ghost r real!!!!!!!!

  • people said they saw this with the naked eye, though

  • @PikaTV Who said they saw it with the naked eye? The "ghost" is clearly an insect on the lens of the camera. The blue colour is the iridescent underbelly of the insect, and is out of focus because the camera's focus is on the pumps.

The first time I saw this video, I figured it was an insect because of its movements. I admit I had to watch the video three times to figure it out, but I never thought it was a ghost. Ghosts aren't real, and they're rarely blue.

  • FUCKIN SILVERFISH KILL IT!!

    i hate those things *cringe*

  • I have seen angels before and they light up the area very bright more like the color of lighting bolt any body near by would see them and not just a camera.

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty good video. I like how you broke it down. Mythbusters could learn something from you. They rarely break it apart and explaing things.

But it was ruined by the silverfish. I HATE silverfish. So disgusting.

  • i agree

    especially about that silverfish thing

  • good job

  • lol so much for those phenominal days where magic existed and fairys spied on grown men lol dont let the leprechaun take his pot of gold on this one, just accept the fact that there is NO GHOST YOU FOOLS!!

  • DEFINITELY A SILVERFISH

  • Nice job debunking! Very well done!

  • That silverfish must have been sleeping on the camera lens for it to be there like an hour...lol

  • wow that was actually very well done. 10 internet win points for you.

  • Nice find you should be on the news like soulgirl09 said!

  • WOW YOU ARE AWESOME.

I am totally going to add you! And SUBSCRIBE!! WOO!

  • Nice finding they should show this on the news and you should get credit!

  • Very well done with the hypothesis and testing. I agree with your explanation.

  • Very well done my cousin said "What if its the ghost of a blue bug?????" lol

  • wow i never would hav thought it was a bug

  • Really? It's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it.

  • very very good explination

  • Genius, simply genius.

  • very, very good job!

    I reckon you've solved it!!!

I never would of thought of it but after seeing this I reckon that's what it was

  • It's not a silverfish, it has wings flapping when it flies downward.

  • Absolutely convincing and great debunking job.

  • You are correct.

    I'm sold... Mr.Holmes.

  • Nice explanation. Made a believer outta me.

  • I wonder if you have submitted this to the news or to the gas station owner? Either way, it's a good vid. Kudos on your research effort.

  • I think you dod a cool job explaining that

  • i love the way you explained every step of your theory, including the movement of said bug, very good, top notch

  • Very well explained.

I thought your blue ghost was spookier than the bug.

  • omg people r stoopid lol

  • lol, I can't still believe bugs tricked humanity that they were ghosts xD

  • There's no such thing as a dumb animal!

  • i found out you don't make your bed tisk tisk lol jk

  • lol, i wonder how long it took u find out the bug is a silver fish

  • nice analysis

  • Man this guy has got time on his hands, who cares if it is a ghost or a bug, I would be there to get smokes and beer and get the heck out of there........I dont want to be BUGGED BY GHOSTS.

  • Awesome analysis! But seriously, if you're going to post a video of your bed on YouTube, can't you at least make it up!?

  • I was thinking it was a bug too because of the faint fluttering of wings that is visible when it turns. I think the blue coloring is a reflection of light off the blue paint on the building.

  • good theory man looks like you probly got it just only one thing would it be that fuzzy all the time probly but i was just wondering i really never believed that stupid one anyway there is another gas station ghost that looks like a witch that one looks more scary

  • nice report men :D

  • Well done. It's rather pathetic how desperate people are to believe that ghosts exist. I had an experience where I questioned my co-workers' belief that there was a ghost in the building where we work (on the floor I work on and none of the believers do!) and they acted like I was some sort of heretic for questioning their beliefs. Worse, their fervent beliefs were not even because of what they thought they saw themselves, but what somebody told them through the grapevine. Sad.

  • you need a girlfriend of zukketwa

  • dude u must have alot of time on your hands to figure this out. ur pathetic but thanks, we need nerds like u!

  • Anyone with even a little bit of critical thinking skills would immediately be able to spot the nonsense in this news story. Whats pathetic is that someone thinks it takes a lot of time to figure this out.

  • @cocaine747 You're either fucking inept, or all your life, you've been the same noob scum who has no talents. What a joke you are.

  • I agree with your analysis. This was almost certainly some sort of insect. It amazes me that people automatically opt for the most implausible explanation when attempting to explain "events" such as this.

I've seen no evidence to support the existence of "ghosts." Thanks for posting this.

  • by the way...good job!

  • you're right it is a silverfish!

  • to bad the bug is like black?

  • thank you. fucking thank you for explaining how this ghost is faked. however, you forgot to mention one important fact, and ill be happy to give you first person account because i live right next to that city.

the fact of the matter is they were a bunch of hicks, wouldnt have got anything you said into their thick skulls, and will go on thinking they saw an angel.

  • GO MAKE YOUR BED!!!

  • It is a Ghost for sure. A guy was going to the gas station for years buying cigarettes and beer and then his liver failed from the alcohol and he also got cancer from the cigarettes and his spirit is haunting the gas station to scare people from buying cigarettes and beer.

  • Sherlock Holmes!

  • Excellent very compelling, but couldnt you have made your bed? LOL

  • In what way does this idiotic music help us understand what is happening?

  • still want to know what a bug that flies was doing staying still for a whole half hour....

but I still think its not a ghost, lol

  • maybe because silverfish don't have wings?

  • Well done sir.Would like to know your take on Chelseas angel thats going around.

  • Weak minded, primative, and in denial humans. We constantly try to hold on to the false world that was presented to us. only dealing in the 3rd demension. Well guess what, sometimes demensions cross, & because of our prison like belief system we block out truth. The human eye can only see 1% of all matter that exists, everything else we are blind, because believing is seeing. &when we believe something, thats what we see, and dont see. Wake up people, unplug yourselfs from the matrix

  • I'm assuming you mean "dimensions". What is your evidence that dimensions cross? What evidence do you have that the human eye can only see 1% of all matter that exists? You seem to be suggesting that we can only see things that we already believe in. That's ridiculous. I assure you I've seen things in my life that i previously didn't believe in. There are also things that I've never seen which I do believe in, for example, radio waves, atoms, black holes, sound, air, love, hate, etc...

  • @AnswersInSkepticism No he means Demensions, Its where Demented people go to think.

  • @ericmeekins ....Thank you. It's nice to know that not all people are so close-minded.

  • You "conveniently" left out the part where it actually DOES get further away. In the video, as they explain right before the car, you can see it getting further away. Another thing: People can't necessarily see ghosts. Sometimes, there are some things that only show up on camera. You can't deduce that it's not a ghost just from that.

  • Then the blue wall. The difference is that the wall isn't a light source. The blue light YOU put in IS. If there is light shining on something, of course it will turn out that way. Another thing about the customer not seeing it is, he's looking way off from the thing. About the person watching the video: He wasn't there at the time the thing went to the lens.

  • I'm not saying it's not a ghost, I'm just saying that most of those conclusions can be easily countered. I agree, though. I think it's a silverfish

  • I don't see any part of the video where the ghost gets further away. Of course this doesn't prove that its not a ghost, but only in the trivial sense that its impossible to prove a negative. The point is that the video is entirely consistent with it being a bug. In other words, the ghost hypothesis is not necessary to explain anything in this video. Therefore, the most reasonable explanation is a bug. Since it hasn't been established that ghosts exist, it is far more plausible that it is a bug.

  • No, I know. I agree with you, I think it's a bug, as well. Al I'm saying is that some points of that can be disproven.

  • @AnswersInSkepticism

It may very well be an insect. If it wasn't for the blue light, it sort of looks and moves like a silverfish bug.

  • Look very very closely @0:04 right above the "Blue Gas" see what looks like a mouth a nose and eyes? or possibly the face of an insect..weird either way

  • very well explained

  • so cool and very well explained!

  • hit the nail right on the head man its a fuckin silverfish for sure i used to get em in my apartment they annoying and very fast too

  • coooooooool

  • Good effort. I'm glad people take the time to figure out why the 'unexplainable' probably has a very likely explanation.

  • awesome job really smart

  • ur a really smart dude totally makes sense

  • Actually the reason why the guy never watched it live is because he didn't know this even happened until after they reviewed the video. I guess you didn't do your research online cause people did see this thing floating around outside...why do you think the news team showed up? Some people ignored it too. I've heard people say it was a blue plastic bag floating around to a bug on the lens to someone actually digitally putting it onto the video afterwards Oh well we'll never know what it was then

  • He said he watched it for half an hour. Nobody sits and reviews security video in real time unless there's a reason to. Who saw it floating around outside? This is a typical news fluff piece. The guy saw something on the screen and thought he would use it to get some publicity. If we have fingerprints, a weapon, blood, and witnesses at a murder scene would you say we will never "know" who did it? And if you really were a Houdini fan, you'd know he spent his life debunking nonsense like this.

  • i agree with everthign this vid says. genious

  • You're a moron. It's a fucking bug. It's embarrassing that this was even on the news. Anyone who cant tell at first glance that its a bug is flat out stupid.

  • A) You misuse the word "Prediction". You can't watch the video and then make predictions about what will happen.

    B) I never heard him say he watched it live.

    C) Just because you can recreate something, doesn't mean that's how it happened in the first place.

    D) the color blue has nothing to do with whether or not it's a bug so the whole color correction thing is a moot point.

    E) Just because it could have been a bug doesn't mean it was.

    F) why do you have a silverfish in a dish?

  • You missed the point of the video and clearly have no clue how the scientific process works

A)The bug hypothesis makes predictions which are tested against the evidence.

B)I never said he said he did.

C)Magicians can recreate "psychic powers". It only means the effects can be achieved without resorting to the supernatural

D)It shows that anything on the lens would be illuminated in blue

E)Of course. But why think its a ghost?

F)To show that the object's movement is similar a silverfish's.

  • Wow, very nice.

  • nice one..

  • I totally agree with you. Tonight was the first time I've seen this video of the so-called Blue Gas Station Ghost (courtesy of AOL / YouTube) and what came out of my mind was a bug on the camera's lens. Although, I didn't really have a better explanation on the color except for the bug to be blue in color. Heh. Thank you for further explaining it.

  • great video.. u should be paid for investigating this stuff!!! 5 stars

  • excuses...excuses...

  • Nice one man! I never would have figured that out!

  • good point but some ppl belive in "Ghosts"

  • your "spider" and "ladybug" were ghosts

  • I think you may have figured it out - except in Parma OH of all places that has Mayfly written all over it.

  • To be fair, third shift and any shifts past 10pm are never allowed to leave the store generally because there is no one else inside.

  • well i think u pretty much nailed it :P

  • Good jOb :)

  • Amazing u tackled it perfectly!!

  • Good demonstration. It's sad that there is people dumb enough that still WANT to believe that it was a ghost, and whatever you say they will reply with a "Nooo, no, that cannot be, that cannot be true, it was a ghost, it must be a ghost, why don't you want to believe it?".

  • hmm u seem right

  • i think its the last one the silvefish

  • couple of problems with this vid, he wasn't watching it as it happend,i've worked at gas stations and they review the vids the day after.

the other problem is that if it was a blue light reflecting off the wall onto the bug the bug would have to be flying, because obviously it can't reflect onto the underbelly of the bug if it is on the lense.silverfish don't fly.

but i will agree that its not a ghost.

  • Hypothesis: Nobody gets into your bed with you.

Prediction 1: Your bed is nasty. It will stay nasty & not clean itself. Notice how it's dingy & in disarray. As if there are bugs in it.

Prediction 2: We will not see anybody in your bed.

Prediction 3: If we observe your bed for a few seconds, we'll still see nobody get into it.

Conclusion: Nobody gets into your bed with you because it is nasty. It is also reasonable to infer that you are nasty.

Quit playing with your camera & clean your bed.

  • Hahahah. Thats so true! LOL

  • Hahah!! Very good. I do happen to be engaged to a very lovely fiance, if that's what you're getting at. It just so happens that when I filmed this clip, my bed happened to be in horrible shape and I didn't have time to fix it.

  • lmao your funny!

  • Five stars as well from me, i commented on the vid that this vid is proving to be a no no ghost. I tho it was a really stupid comp animation.

  • sounds good but i dont think it is looks like it stands

  • Excellent explanation and video. This is MUCH more likely than it being a ghost. 5 stars!

  • Thanks for clearing that one up, when I first saw it I wasn't sure what to think

  • Wait. When it was reported as a ghost on the news, reporters say the station owner saw it floating around. Would he have been looking outside the window or not? Such info can help u dramatically. If he saw the thing outside of a window, then your predictions may not be true. If he saw it through a tv hoooked up to the camera, u may b right!

  • you should try and figure out if ufos exist lol sence everyone doesnt know lmfao

  • Good work! Now I know its not a bag or even a real ghost (xD)

Those freaking news reporters are just noobs

  • Well done. I originally thought it was a blue plastic bag too close to the lens for focus. Those gas station attendants have probably seen this a hundred times (since it was bug). They just decided to send it in for fun.

  • Your explanation about the blue ghost was very logical. Really scientific explanation with perfectly illustrated proof, I hope, after seeing this video, everybody would agree to the fact that it was not a ghost but an insect on the lens.

    NICE SCIENTIFIC WORK, BUDDY!

  • you're a beast.

  • wow, great video, I plan to watch more right now. I dont even have any critism.. no annoying narator, not too long, not too short, I completely believe your conclusion, awesome video keep up the great work. I was even surprised on the reporters clothes and the picture of the camera

  • wow great viideo your a genius!

  • nurd its a ghost get it

  • great video, now go make your bed dammit!!!!!!!! lol

    seriously, good video analysis

  • Well done, you got every detail down. I suggest you be a FBI or CSI or something like those. You're very good at this.

  • one problem....the character Grissom would inform him that silverfish don't have wings. It has to be some other insect, or possibly even an angel. He's got a good point about the color though, even if the color didn't matter to me...lol

  • you are genious dude ;) thats what i thought a silverfish but i could never have guesed that with the blue colour :D hehe ;) great job man :)

  • DAMN! I wanted it to be a ghost!

  • Of course you did. That's why you thought it was one.

  • youre a freaking genius dude!

  • at 0:26-0:27 u can kinda see 2 winges, looks liek a moth

  • Oh my god dude youre a stinking genious! I mean anyone can tell its a bug, but seriously. T.T Youre like a mini version of Albert Einstein! Dude, you have a gift. Dont waste it!

  • ur a genius bro!

  • I think your bedroom is haunted dude...

  • è impossibile, vai a lavorare invece di perdere tempo con queste merde.

  • Awesome! 5/5 + Sub!

  • it could be a fake, seeing how the humans acted. video editor? the blob moves like a very poor pivot animation

  • that reporter seemed a bit off, too -.-

  • You have a good point. I don't even believe in ghosts

  • Ran out of type space on the last one. Also, on the TV report I saw, the man said that the "object" stayed in a specific spot for 40 minutes. I don't know of any ghosts that do that, but I know plenty of insects that do!

  • Actually when I first saw this on TV I recognized almost immediately it was a bug. If you look at it closely, you can barely make out antenna and wings, and as it moves, you can also barely make out its legs. if you look at the pattern of movement on the camera, you can also identify a rather twitchy pattern, like the way moths or small flying insects crawl when their on things
