  • You can see the crab crawling in the shell between 0:06-0:08 and comming out of the shell between 0:26-0:27.

  • I like how the announcer used to tell you that you were watching the local forecast, as well as what was coming up next. ANIMATED BACKGROUNDS FOREVER!!!

  • I love those animated backgrounds! It's a shame TWC doesn't use them anymore on the raw satellite feed during the local forecast.

  • The Weather Network in canada still has animated backgrounds. Videos really, but the system is different. It's called PMX & overlays the text & icons on top of the video backgrounds!

  • which means that they have to broadcast the graphics for the system on the satellite feed. if there was an error, it would most likely have just yellow text over a black background.

  • Is that a leaf in the background? What were those things crawling over it?

  • Cough (read the descriptions) Cough... :-)

Its a seashell... and its a crab crawling in and out of it.

  • Ah...cool. Thanks!

  • One of the best songs...Polo in the Palisades by Russ Freeman. Great!

  • Excellent! I wanted to know what this song was! Thanks! =D
