Angela, this recipe is fantastic! I made this last year and it was mmm mmm GOOD! you got me hooked on base instead of bullion, there really IS a difference. I love it, and I love your recipes! I never see new kooking videos anymore. :-/

@Quevida55 Beef base is much different from Kitchen Bouquet. Beef base is a rich base that makes a beef broth that is much more flavorful than already made broth. Kitchen Bouquet is a gravy seasoning - the taste is subtle and is mostly to darken the gravy. Make sense? Let me know! Thank you for watching!
Hi from Madrid Spain, Angela. Firstable thank you for the recipe. It was looking yummy. (you could also look for what in cooking is called "Salsa Española") i think it will fit marvelous (takes more time thou). "The black and tans" is refered to the colours of the uniforms of the english soldiers during the revolution of Ireland in 1918 so maybe is not very Irish for S.Paddys.(i woulndt order one in Dublin)Anyway thanks a lot again, contact me if you want some recipes from Spain. hey ur food items were devastatingly delicious. I loved them. The main thing is all of them are so easy to make. Though im asian, i love irish stuff...dont know y!!!

If you pour the stout over the back of a spoon, you'll get a more distinct separation of the black from the tan. :-)
