replacing his lungs with horns, gamzee is able to breathe through his nostrils while expelling air through his mouth simultaneously. he is able to perform this feat due to the fact that the rubber end of one horn is compressed due to the air coming in to the lung, with then honks and releases oxygen into the lung, with the carbon dioxide being filtered into the horn from the metal end. it can be seen here being used to shriek at a tremendous volume for absurd amounts of time.
