Very very nice......great detailing. Flys nice too....but sound a tad too loud, don't you think so? Am surprised, you do not get banned by the residents!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! That huge propeller is the heart and soul of the Mustang and no amount of detailing or workmanship on the rest of the model can make up for its absence.
NOOO, you must have misunderstood me, I said" not cheap enough for me", meaning it is WAY too expensive, AND ANOTHER THING, I do own a full scale plane and it is a p51d with a 1600mm wing span, and it did not cost me an arm and a leg, I got it for two hundred bucks........thank you.
Awesome job guy's,just wondering how the metal finish is applied. With all that work involved it should be in a museum,I'd be to scared to fly it and risk all those man hours.Great job.
Don't under-estimate the quality of garage built products! They care more than big Co's. I love the attention to detail, too bad you need oil money to afford it. The fiberglass adds much more detail and strength. I would have gone with scale exhaust system as the final touch, custom build them guys... If I win the lotto I will get one from ya! Just look at the MACHINE GUN BARRELS!! SWEET!
Hey Billy David here,,did you make a video of the remake or redo of this P52 Mustang? If not I wish you had!!! I would like to watch that step by step.Let us know if we can get a look..Thanks and great job.
Thanks Wayne, your prop setup is amazing. We couldn't have done this without your help and support. The sound she makes is just one of a kind. I will be back for more, you can count on it.
@spyplane5559 Why use a 4 blade and not just a 2 blade? Does one need more thrust because of the fiberglass? Also, why fiberglass the plane and not just fly the plane the way it comes from aeroworks?
@rickashaybingbing The fiberglass was used so we could use apply flite metal on the aircraft. You need a hard surface to burnish the metal on to the surface. The 4 blade was used because we wanted it to look and fly like the real P-51.
Hey there Billy. Thats funny, I started building the Byron 51 when Aeroworks came out with this plane. Your Byron Jet was off the hook bro. That was an amazing build. I was like you when I heard your video of that monster electric fan.
Wow! Great landing. Awesome plane.

Great effort. I was wondering whether you considered a Keleo exhaust with the DA85?
Would it work without the need to cut large amounts of cowl out? Just wondering..

That engine sounds great, but it would kill me to have to hack that cowl up to get it in there.

@209cynical Clearly you have never owned a full scale aircraft (of any type or size) or you wouldn't say 'might as well buy a real one'. :)

I tried modifying mine to produced muffler burns but it required me to add an extra butane burner tank to the canopy just to produce the effect.
