What is so moving for me, a 24 year old, is just the utter respect and admiration that people of all classes, backgrounds and regions in Britain held him in. The country truly was united in mourning. That, to someone who lives in a period where a Britain united as one people is something I doubt I will ever see, saddens me. He was a magnificent wartime prime minister, of a great and confident country.
