@Theriot6592 I think I know the answer. First, yes Jenny was a bitch. But primarily because of her terrible childhood. Remember her idiot father who abused her? That's how she got messed up. And second, Forrest loved her because she was her first, best, and only friend. And remember how he had leg braces at the start of the movie? It was Jenny who set him free from those "shackles" when she yelled "Run, Forrest, run!" In some way, she was the one who taught him how to live.
