  • Brody is is so lucky to have wonderful parents who fight hard for him and with him. I am proud to be autistic, and I love to see that others stand up for us. We need some extra help, but we can go so far.

I am also proud to be the 100th liker!

  • this is the best one I have seen yet! It's very ture

  • Kids with special needs aren't weird or odd. They only want what everyone wants...to be accepted. Can I make a request? Is anyone willing to post this. This is an honor of all children that God made in a unique way. Let's see who has a strong heart ♥ ♥ plz repost this! This will mean alot to me!♥

  • Amazing video keep up the good work.

  • This is an excellent video.

  • Parents please look at this study recently published in a peer reviewed journal...A Positive Association found between Autism Prevalence and Childhood Vaccination uptake across the U.S. Population

Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Part A: Current Issues

    Volume 74, Issue 14, 2011, Pages 903 - 916

  • as using her work without permission is a violation of copyright laws. You really cannot take a huge hunk of someone's work and use it in a video for public consumption without that person's permission. Go to Ellen's web site and click on the "contact" link for her email address. She personally answers her emails. I really would hate to see you get into trouble for infringing on the copyright.

  • @lhamati I will do that, I had no idea or else i wouldn't have made this video... seriously was just for me and my family and thought it would encourage others... had no idea about all the copyright stuff... emailing her now.

  • I am a friend of the author of these words. I actually know her because a few years ago I had emailed her to ask for permission to use excerpts of one of her books for an autism awareness event. Ellen graciously allowed us to do so, and she continues to communicate with me with support for my efforts to work with my 2 sons who have autism. When I asked her if she had granted you permission to use these words, she told me that she hadn't. I strongly suggest that you contact her (see next comment)

  • @lhamati i am emaiing her now, see comment above.

  • @lhamati hi i am a writer as well as your friend i dont think this person ment any harm by useing her words on this vid,i dont mind people useing what i write as long as it helps other aspies like me .. jeff ..

  • Beautiful video. I'm definitely sharing this. Thanks for posting. Brody is beautiful.

  • @tyffi05 thanks!

  • Powerful video.. great and very valuable tips.

  • @GodAnointed1 thanks!

  • Thank you all for the very encouraging words. Brody is doing very well and is the happiest "joy boy" ever! May you all continue to learn, grow and experience the joy that autism has to offer if you're open to it! I wouldn't change it for the world. Yes, its hard at times, but everything I'm proud of and everything worthwhile in life hasn't come without a bit of struggle!

  • Thank you for this.

  • Beautiful video and a beautiful little boy. Its so important to show our children in a positive light, there is too much negativity surrounding Autism. To me my children are far more joy than chore. The negative people have never met our kids or are simply blind...we need to show them how talented, intelligent, funny and beautiful they are. Different does not mean bad or wrong or even strange. Wouldnt life be boring if we were all the same? :)

  • @aspiemom42 agreed!

  • thanks for making this video coz more people today not aware about autistic child as parents i have autistic child right now his improving thanks to all people that support my child

  • I'm an 18 year old autistic girl from the Netherlands.. my mom, twin-brother and little brother ( now 6) are also autistic.. I'm hoping in the next 2 years to find a apartment to go live on my own.. Being autistic is a part of your live, but if you learn more about it, you will learn more about yourself then a lott of 'normal' people know about themselfs. You can live a normal live, while 'just' being autistic.

I even graduated last week :D

And just know that every person is unique!

  • My daughter is now 17 and has Autism. Yes, dreams do come true. Patience is the key. Straight A student who makes me laugh, and dream new dreams everyday.

  • Thank you for sharing this! My son who is 5 also has Autism, and Epilepsy! It was poetic and beautiful....I hope to someday make a video myself for my son. THANK YOU for the inspiration!

  • precious child <3

  • When I was a kid in the 90s there was nothing for us aspies and I was treated like a freak. The so called professionals were patronising and spoke to me like I was intellectually challenged. My teachers didn't give a rats arse about what triggered my meltdowns and just punished me for my emotional reactions. With my Mum's support and my own realisations I felt better about myself and when I was around 19 I realised the world that just looks down on me as a weirdo can go fuck itself.

  • The words in this video are written by Ellen Notbohm. I have simply copy/pasted and organized them in a way along with pictures and music to honor my son and increase autism awareness. I give all the credit to Ellen Notbhom for her beautifully written words. They are spot on.

  • @mbuzzard1

Thank you for posting this otherwise i would never have come across it. thanx for spreading the word the more people understand autism the better this world would be from a family of autism

  • Do you have permission from Ellen Notbohm and Future Horizons, Inc to directly lift what she has written, published and copyrighted? At least give her credit and SITE that this isn't your original work, but something that you stole from a published author.

  • @mbuzzard1 totally spot on

  • @mooneyma1974

seems to me that they had as it is written underneath, but its about raising Autism awareness to help people understand what its like to be autistic why should that be stolen or copyrighted? Im glad that not all people think that way otherwise how would all be able to communicate or ever know anything?

  • God Bless to all of us parents who have "Autistic" Children. The days and nights are sometimes long and hard, but to be given a child with special needs is a true "Gift" from above. Not everyone gets this special gift but I'm glad God gave me mine.

  • mooneyma1974 , REALLY, After a beautiful video you have to scold someone for promoting Autism Awareness!!!! MY SON HAS AUTISM HE IS 5! NO MATTER WHO CREATED IT , IT WAS BEAUTIFUL IN MY EYES! I don't look at the author but the messages being sent.....if you are not affected by Autism GET OFF THIS SITE~ REALLY, we don't need drama queens! BUT SUPPORT! And if you had a college degree you would REALIZE that mbuzzard1 "sited" their work by putting that in!!!!!

  • @April7888 Excuse me you obviously took this wrong my dear, I have a son who is 9 yrs old, who is INDEED affected by this and our life is affected by it everyday. Not sure if you were having a bad day or what, but don't come at me with it and in NO WAY did I down anyone. Looks like you need to re read.

  • @Tigerbabe38 me too!

  • This is sooo beautifully written!

What song did you use? It sounded encouraging!
