This is well nice done if you ask me o: ! Any chance you could make an instruction video ? And does it wear the shifter unit faster with the harder spring or ?
@skvakagud thanks for the comments, I was intending to make an instructional vid a bit after but camera got stolen. =\
It does not wear the unit however once you understandhow the mod works (there is a piece material you need use) the small piece of material tends to get worn out, which you can replace. I like to think of it as doing "clutch maintenance" =P
I found this mod online however, it should be easy to find =)
@ncorpuz34 aw that suck :/ & no problem :) But as long as the unit it self dosnt get worn, then rubber bands and springs cant be expensive to get :) Personally the clicking dosnt affect me to much, i was more fascinated about how it appeared to feel :) I havent dared opening up my G25 yet, warranty and such. So i got a lever-system pressing the R3 button as E-brake, works perfect and was free, so dont think ill re-wire for a more realistic. But this id like to do =) Where online o: ?
@skvakagud check out vids from youtube member chilicoke for great tutorial. He doesnt show how to do the "no clicky" mod, but I can tell you how to do it once you understand the internals and see his vids.
It is known as the "G25 shifter resistance mod" on google as well.
@clinte1 i belive the only differences are.. Buttons on wheel. ( 6 instead of 2 ) The seqentual / H-gear change system, in the beginning i reckon G27 was released with H-gear only, but ih ave seen reviews later saying it got both, tho i cant see how to change between them. The pedals on G27 are at "the same height", where as the G25 has the pedals in different position, while not pressed down, making it harder to do heel&toe.

thats theres added resistance when moving the stick through the gates, no annoying "clicky" sound when shifting were the main points. Instructions on how to do so can be found on web.

And then the G27 should have better engines.

how come you shift so slowly
phapboi89 2 years ago
Because if you shift like an idiot it will brake.
Yester17 2 years ago
LMAO so true. These gear shifters are so flimsy it's quite remarkable Logitech even let it out of the production labs.

i was just wondering with sequential on a g25 is it inverted or normal
snipski0894 2 years ago
Im assuming inverted because: Move stick forward = downshift, move stick backward = upshift.
ncorpuz34 2 years ago
no its like in real life with an automatic transmtion with manual mode foward = downshift back = upshift
