  • I do not understand why these guys did not get famous?..

    they are great artists.

  • Can somone upload going nowhere fast.

  • The Paladins are playing the Peer Belgium Festival on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 8PM. There is a lot of misinformation on the web, claiming they are playing Sunday July 17, 2011. Not true! Saturday July 16th, 2011!

  • @laurentheham Awesome to be able to go see these guys still!!!! I was unaware that they still played, do they do that very often or travel very far? Would love to get the chance to experience this.

    I love this band.

  • seeing them this weekend

  • these guys are tight. Excellent!

  • vette rockabilly!!!!

  • Good band

  • Down to the very last time I saw them , 4 or 5 years ago at Green Bay , they never failed. Some people called 'em R'n'B in the 80's , when they were about 10% R'n'B to 90 % RAB. It's true they got into Blues , more and more , when they were on Alligator , but ,when Tom rejoined , they commenced to rock like fuck.

  • must have been nice live.

  • Great song and what a hot guitar!

  • ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!

  • July 30, 1986? Exactly one year before I was born!

  • THE PALADINS ARE NOT A ROCKABILLY BAND!!!!!!

  • @Elesaar27 They aren't a blues band either. Its a clever blend of the both and jazz too.

  • the Paladins on Sjock in Belgium his year!!!

  • I could never get tired of listening to the Paladins, I remember seeing them in Orange County all the time. This song cheers me up. Dave Gonsalez is one of the best guitar players in this genre, so underated. I love him, give me a beer darn it!!!

  • I've seen them all and no one is better - then or now.

  • FUKIN GREAT! LOVE THAT GUILD

  • smokin!!!!

  • Badass!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy shit! This is absolutely brilliant!

  • Re: Dunskie: I believe that's Tom Yearsley, part of The Paladins' original line up. Tom left some years ago but returned in later years. Tom (was) is married to singer Candy Kane.

  • Thanks man. I thought it might have been a guy I used to know who used to play wwith James Harman named Joe Leon. Looks like him a lot. Man these guys are so f'n killer.

  • Wow, the original is bad ass but you can't beat the Paladins

  • Anyone can tell me the bass players name?

    Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • That would be Thomas Yearsley on bass; original drummer Scott B Campbell and my good bro Dave Gonzalez on guitar. Ahhh man this footage takes be back...

  • Thanks. Do you know of a bass player named Joe Leon that used to play with these guys?

I think he did. Not sure.

  • yes, Joe Jadzedewski played with them for the Slippin In release and subsequent tour, then recorded Palvoline but was replaced by Thomas shortly thereafter due to strife betwwen him and Dave

  • srsly kick ass rockabilly at its best

  • great band!

    but..

what exactly is a daddy yar?

  • Uhh, it means Daddy "are"

You may think i'm crazy but that's just the way your daddy "are"

  • i don't quite think so... gatemouth says "that's your daddy yaddy yo" yo and yar are two words that were adapted (yo = rappers, yar = pirates) from yeah...

"girl you think i'm crazy but that's just your dirty daddy yeah"

  • sorry... yo came from the african american community but was majorly used when they started rapping is what i meant.

  • bass player is great

  • The Paladins need to do a reunion show in Southern California !

  • fuckin right they do.

  • I've seen them dozens and dozens of time in LA & OC counties. One the best live bands and Dave Gonzales is one the MOST under rated Guitarist play today.

  • I have seen them alot of times specially at Lindas Doll Hut. in the 90s. where r u in so. cal. I agree with you Dave Gonzales and Tom are underated. good luck

  • What can I say? That guy is totally at one with his guitar. Excellent!!!!

  • saw them late 80's when I was workin' in a roadhouse. great show. one of the players was so wasted. i'm the the the guy who flushed your powder down the toilet:) (and probably saved the show and him from serious jail time?)

  • no way man, which one of them was wasted, guitar, bass or drums. that is some great memory. once at a show I mistook the singer from the twisting tarantulas with the bouncer.

  • SAW THEM AT THE 8x10 IN BALTIMORE WITH MY GIRLFRIEND BACK IN 1990,TIED WITH "LITTLE CHARLIE" FOR BEST SHOW THEY EVER HAD.

  • I saw them in Las Vegas in the late 80's. One of the best shows out there !!!!!

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • NICE WORK!!!

  • My happy place. I have listened and seen these guys for 20 years and I could never get sick of them. My favorite band. I hope they do some shows again. My prayers go out to Chris Gaffney. Get well soon.

  • HOLY SHIT, THEY ROCK HARD! FANTASTIC!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH BABAY!!!!

  • I saw these guys about 15yrs ago, BADASS! What model Guild is that? Where can I buy one?

  • I believe it´s a Guild X175.

  • It's a guild x-550. It sold on ebay a few years back when he needed some money. I wish I had the money to buy it then!

  • This is groovy shit!

  • The Paladins owe it to their die hard fans to have a reunion show !

  • Anyone have the lyrics to this song? What does Daddy Yar mean? haha Love these guys though

  • Here's some trivia. This song is a cover of "That's Your Daddy Yaddy Yo" as recorded by Clarence Gatemouth Brown. I stumbled onto it when I listened to his Original Peacock Recordings CD. Dave must of searched through stacks of records to find that one!

  • Mercy!!!

  • PALADINS are so cool, and dave is the greatest person in rock and roll,i saw them in 1988 at calamitys many times and again at viva lv in 2005 what a show

  • I saw these guys at the BUT in Solana Beach in 94 or 95. Country Dick Montana and Greg Alaman both came out of the crowd to do songs. Unreal night.

Been a die hard fan since I first ssaw them in 89.

  • These guys, the Forbidden Pigs, wow, San Diego rocked for a while.

  • Hi,

awesome! The Paladins really were young once! Great stuff. The song is actually called Daddy Yar by the way.

  • damn that smokes

  • great - perhaps i'm wrong - isn't this song called 'daddy yar' ?

  • Great to see Scott Campbell bangin' the skins. The only thing that could make this better is if Kandy Kane was dancin' topless. Woohaaaaa!

  • WOW GREAT!!
