Million Mile Club- Best Live CD I've ever, ever heard. Buy it. You won't be disappointed. My next vacation, I'm gonna drive from Ohio, to see one of their shows, wherever it may be.
The Paladins are playing the Peer Belgium Festival on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 8PM. There is a lot of misinformation on the web, claiming they are playing Sunday July 17, 2011. Not true! Saturday July 16th, 2011!
@laurentheham Awesome to be able to go see these guys still!!!! I was unaware that they still played, do they do that very often or travel very far? Would love to get the chance to experience this.
Down to the very last time I saw them , 4 or 5 years ago at Green Bay , they never failed. Some people called 'em R'n'B in the 80's , when they were about 10% R'n'B to 90 % RAB. It's true they got into Blues , more and more , when they were on Alligator , but ,when Tom rejoined , they commenced to rock like fuck.
These guys used to swing through san Antonio, Texas and play our club! They were a blast and we loved them! It's so cool to see them on this video! "habagootine"
Along with James Intveld & Russell Scott, these guys have always been the best roots American Rockabilly Blues band out there! Lets hope they'll give us a few more So. Cal. gigs some day. Damn, i LOVE this !
I could never get tired of listening to the Paladins, I remember seeing them in Orange County all the time. This song cheers me up. Dave Gonsalez is one of the best guitar players in this genre, so underated. I love him, give me a beer darn it!!!
Re: Dunskie: I believe that's Tom Yearsley, part of The Paladins' original line up. Tom left some years ago but returned in later years. Tom (was) is married to singer Candy Kane.
Thanks man. I thought it might have been a guy I used to know who used to play wwith James Harman named Joe Leon. Looks like him a lot. Man these guys are so f'n killer.
hey! everybody should check out my videos! i hve the original "that's your daddy yaddy yo" uploaded! awesome song... prefer the paladins but Gatemouth still got a good groove.
That would be Thomas Yearsley on bass; original drummer Scott B Campbell and my good bro Dave Gonzalez on guitar. Ahhh man this footage takes be back...
yes, Joe Jadzedewski played with them for the Slippin In release and subsequent tour, then recorded Palvoline but was replaced by Thomas shortly thereafter due to strife betwwen him and Dave
i don't quite think so... gatemouth says "that's your daddy yaddy yo" yo and yar are two words that were adapted (yo = rappers, yar = pirates) from yeah...
"girl you think i'm crazy but that's just your dirty daddy yeah"
I've seen them dozens and dozens of time in LA & OC counties. One the best live bands and Dave Gonzales is one the MOST under rated Guitarist play today.
I have seen them alot of times specially at Lindas Doll Hut. in the 90s. where r u in so. cal. I agree with you Dave Gonzales and Tom are underated. good luck
saw them late 80's when I was workin' in a roadhouse. great show. one of the players was so wasted. i'm the the the guy who flushed your powder down the toilet:) (and probably saved the show and him from serious jail time?)
no way man, which one of them was wasted, guitar, bass or drums. that is some great memory. once at a show I mistook the singer from the twisting tarantulas with the bouncer.
My happy place. I have listened and seen these guys for 20 years and I could never get sick of them. My favorite band. I hope they do some shows again. My prayers go out to Chris Gaffney. Get well soon.
Here's some trivia. This song is a cover of "That's Your Daddy Yaddy Yo" as recorded by Clarence Gatemouth Brown. I stumbled onto it when I listened to his Original Peacock Recordings CD. Dave must of searched through stacks of records to find that one!
PALADINS are so cool, and dave is the greatest person in rock and roll,i saw them in 1988 at calamitys many times and again at viva lv in 2005 what a show
