  • it's not NLP - it's well known psychology, NLP tries to pretend science selling people interesting facts mixed with the new age bullshit

  • @IAmThinkTank .. TOOO FUNNY!!! LMAO!!!!!

  • Very Interesting ,,i checked it on people and its always that way....

  • please expalin the term auditory digital

  • @hussain935 it means that you're speaking to your self in your mind(generating and constructing thoughts).

  • @MrBetta7 thanx and can you please explain what does it mean when people recall something and look straight upward (towards their head without looking left or right),when people talk with gazing constantly straight into your eyes, and when people look straight downwards for short periods during the conversation (while gazing constantly into your eyes for the rest of conversation)?

    thanx.waiting for your answer

  • Comment removed

  • @hussain935 2nd qt: it has several meanings, according to the situation (depending on the cluster-a group of gestures-it comes with//do not judge one gesture at a time) ; it often means that the person is lying (as people think that the liar always try to avoid looking at you, unconsciously speaking, most liars look you in the eye to avoid being judged that way)...it can also mean intimacy..and, in some situations, aggression and offending.

  • in response to 2nd qt:

@MrBetta7 does it probably mean that person is trying to over power your mind by gazing you or he wants to thrust his views upon you?

  • @hussain935 why he wanna thrust his views against me?almost all liars experience nervousness(its rate differ according to the situation,and/or their level/position-degree of authority), so they really want to avoid eye contact but wouldn't do that to avoid suspicion, therefore the least thing they wanna do is to over power...

BUT...if he's trying to offend and show aggression to you(and believe me it's the most obvious gesture you'll ever find), in that case, yeah he is trying to over power you.

  • @hussain935 3rd qt: if you're the one who's speaking, and they're constantly looking downward and at you, it means that there's something on your pants, or your zipper is open:P..it doesn't mean anything; people need to look away sometimes when they're listening...

unless if they won't look constantly into your eyes for the rest of the conversation..that had a really different meaning; it means that they had got enough from you and they really want you to stop(they will start after to..continued

  • @hussain935 ....continue...look away in any direction, and if you continue to speak you'll notice that they are starting to close their eyes for short periods to avoid looking at you)...

if they're the one who's speaking, and constantly looking downward(away) and at you, it often means that there's something suspicious in what they're saying(trying to avoid looking at you)..but it could differ according to the situation...always consider the situation and the other clusters...

  • in response to explanation for looking downwards....... does it possibly mean lack of confidence or that they are focusing at something else.for example if i'm holding pepsi in my hand and he's talking to me and he looks most of the time into my eyes but sub-consciously for short intervals,he looks in slight downwards direction possibly towards pepsi without showing that he wants to have it.Does it suggest that he has an inner desire for pepsi or he has lack of confidence?

  • @hussain935 no no no...the lack of confidence is another thing...like i said(downward) we shouldn't consider a lot of gestures(most gestures are meaningless)...as people need to look away as i said, he found a near(and delicious) focal spot to look at...so in that case he could just use some pepsi to start looking at a different spot again...

The lack of confidence can be interpreted by high rates of down/away-looking,even when the person is looking downward when he walks on the streets...

  • in response to looking downwards.......

i think most f the people cant maintain the contact when you deliberately gaze at them.thereofre they look here and there sub-consciously to break the contact. They get disturbed by eye to eye contact.am i right?

  • @hussain935 I told you that a straight long gaze could offend others, so we subconsciously try to avoid that(if you don't like someone, believe me you can stand any of his long looks)...that's why I told you that people need to look away fro short periods...it's totally a normal thing..we shouldn't consider that.

  • @hussain935 are you studying psychology or you suddenly found yourself keen on it and like to know about it? I noticed that your name is hussain...are you arabic?...lebanon I suggest?!...(I like lebanon)

  • @MrBetta7 i'm not studying psychlogy as a regular subject ,however recently i have found interest in psychology, hypnosis (specially covert),nlp etc.I wish i could collaborate something new towards the mind-sciences.I'm not leabnese neither arabic but does it make difference ?

I have made other interrogatory comments on this video and sent you a message (check your youtube inbox).if you could answer to that,i'll be obliged to you..

  • NLP is so over-rated it's unreal. A lot of NLP tools are useful but guess what? Most of what is good about NLP has been known in mainstream psychology long before it was packaged for the corporate world and the highly suggestible folk with money to burn. Bandler's the worst, he talks absolute gibberish and tries to hide it with clever terminology to make it sound scientific whilst disdaining mainstream science for the cause. Wake up people, just use the tools, don't buy into the 'science' of NLP

  • @whicheverwayable Tell Obama that. He keeps using the word "Change" over and over again. Using NLP for The New World Order agenda.

  • @whicheverwayable Exactly, you've hit the nail on the head. You're starting to understand just what makes NLP so amazing. It is not an entity, it is simply a collection of tools, modeled from successful communicators and presented systemically, That is what most critics (Derren Brown) fail to realize. NLP is not something you have to spend money on to learn. Anytime you are communicating you are communicating on an neurological level. Yes? Therefore anytime you communicate you are using NLP.

  • @MrNobody100m True, however it is also what a lot of the proponents of NLP also fail to understand as well. It is on the neurological level that NLP fails, what is said in the books and seminars to explain this is usually rubbish. All that is good in NLP is taken from psychology (many fields including neuroscience) and repackaged to make money. The tools can be better explained by science and many are just renamed. NLP can obviously be useful, but i wouldn't pay for it anymore due to the deceit.

  • @MrNobody100m This is bullshit. Try PUA. Much more fun. Google PUA Hoop Theory. Also check out PUA Shit test. M3 Method, LMR, and CNF are also good to know.

  • It's bullshit. Scientific tests has shown us that this they does not have any roots in reality. It's a harmfull pseudosciene sold to the guilable laymans

  • @JediMasterRadek Says the jedi master radek. lol

  • @Thadmeister

Ad hominem is popular logical fallacy among those who do not posess any real argument.

  • @JediMasterRadek Touche.

Not ad hominem, you spelled gullible wrong.

  • @JediMasterRadek and harmful

  • and

    >>that this they not have

  • @Thadmeister

  • Your eyes tend to "flicker" to the direction, not fix an exaggerated stare. It's very true that this is how you read eye patterns, but this video is a bit too forced and orchestrated for my liking. I suspect the interviewee knew what the exercise was about. Good vid for illustrative purposes though.

  • dumb. how about asking questions to record eye patterns when the interviewee doesn't know the intent?

  • Well i know that when you ask a question and the person which is answering watch right, he's imaginating, thinking or lying. If he watch left, he's saying some concrete, something that he knows and is sure of, more likely to tell the truth. Think about it and try it.

  • SERPENT SCIENT IT MEANS VIZUAL CONSTRUCTION VIZUAL RECORDER AUDITIV CONSTRUCT AUDITIV RECORD KINESTEZIC AND AD I DONT KNOW I THINK ITS ANALITICDATA

  • If you are left handed it is exactly opposite...:))

  • @mihayuli yep

  • Nice post !

    (Using it for referance)

This knowledge has "been around the block" and i find it more accurate then most give it credit for. Just my thoughts

  • Thanks for the below comment it was very funny!

  • Is that why you look to the top right when you masturbate? Further studies required for that!

  • @deadwing5 You genius,, haha

  • Comment removed

  • @deadwing5 No- self abuse seriously damages the system

  • @deadwing5 .. ROFLMAO!!!!

  • Just a thought: if I'm in the passenger seat of a car, can I cause a crash by continually asking the driver questions about the past?

  • There is no way to tell if a stranger is lying. You just don't know the person. You don't know if they touch their nose because they are nervous or because it itches. If they ARE nervous, you don't know WHY they are nervous. If they look up, maybe there's something to see up there. Ask most people a question, and they frown and look wherever they were looking before. Some people stare straight at you. Some don't and their eyes are everywhere.

There is a reason this is inadmissable in court.

  • @mellowb1rd Actually, if you have a few minutes you can, by asking them questions which you know they will answer truthfully, and seeing how they behave when telling the truth, then if their behavior changes subtly then it is likely they are lying. So find out if they usually stare straight at you or not, see?

  • @MrStephAwesome Unless you are a cop and you have them locked up somewhere, the average person with a reason to lie to you is not going to let you ask them control questions .

  • @mellowb1rd That's why you don't make it obvious. Just have a casual conversation with them to establish a baseline. It's worked about seven out of ten times in my experience. Not conclusive, as you say, but It's better than guessing.

  • @MrStephAwesome Doesn't compare to just listening to their voice. Forget all that body-language crap. The voice is a way better indicator. (Of NERVOUSNESS. There is no such thing as an indicator of dishonesty)

  • @mellowb1rd Hey, I agree completely that the voice is super important, but it's a dead giveaway when the body does not correlate what the voice is saying. A combination of these is what gives away a liar

  • @mellowb1rd that s true in many cases, but what if the topic itself makes us nervous?

  • @majawow You can't really rely on "what if", though. If you knew what made the guy nervous, you probably wouldn't need to ask them any questions, anyway....you'd already know. Also, for a lot of people, telling the truth is as nerve wracking as lying.

  • @mellowb1rd Humman is an animal and just becouse we invented talking didnt make "body-language" a crap. I would love to see how you trying to explain to a dog: "Forget all that body-language crap". There is a loot of body language in the nature and some how this animals are missleaded by some youtube video acording to you? Your point of vew is a crap...

  • This is bullshit, pure and simple. NLP is a crock.

  • Patterns, not Paterns.

  • @TheSlapFight look at movie title

  • @rebskie1 what

    ccrrd

    wtf

  • Supposedly, this is only for people who are right-handed. People who are left-handed supposedly look in the reverse directions. Heaven forbid if someone is ambidextrous, like me! In sports, etc., I have no dominant stance nor eye. This wouldn't work on me.

  • bullshit eyes move where they want to move theres no fuckin pattern!!!!

  • What does AD stand for?

  • I don't get it

  • In one of my psych undergraduate lectures a couple of years ago, we had a session on 'pop pscychology'. NLP didn't even come up then . . . that's how low it's regarded.

I'm happy to change my mind when I start reading empirical data in reputable journals. Otherwise, enjoy the money you're making . . . can't say you've earned it though.

  • I looked upwards for almost every single one.

  • I'm interested in this kind of stuff, but learning on your own is less fun. If anyone want to read, talk and share thoughts or knowledge around NLP and psychology hit me up on my youtube page and leave a PM/comment. Im from Sweden and speak fluent English and Swedish

  • This stuff is like Magic! This is really the tool to be an affective communicator. This kind of reminds me of the NLP techniques Im going over with Doc Barham, also known as Coach Hollywood.

  • WHEN HE SAYS I LOVE YOU HE LOOKS AT MY LIPS ALL THE TIME.DOES IT MEAN HE IS LIAR?

  • @Gladystuff

Guys you gotta remember never read singularly!!Just because a person is rubbing his hands together doesnt mean he/she is plotting, contriving.

    Always read with the context.

Plus be careful with NLP...its iffy sometimes

  • This isn't wrong, this is how it's meant to be.

If they're right-handed (or 'normally-wired'), facing you and constructing a memory, visually or audibly, they look to YOUR left/HIS right.

    So it's always:

YOUR LEFT - Visual (up-left) & Audible Construction (left) and Emotions (down-left).

YOUR RIGHT - Visual (up-right) & Audio Recall (right) and Logic (down-right).

Trying to bear in mind their position will confuse you.

  • HA HA HA!!! FAIL!!!

They have everything backwards. It's supposed to be THEIR left and right...not YOUR left and right.

Whenever anyone looks to THEIR LEFT they are using their imagination to create something. For visual...it is upper-left; for auditory...it is to the straight-left.

The "eye patterns" in this video is for most LEFT-HANDED PEOPLE!!!

    Just remember this:

If what they are saying is RIGHT...they will look the to RIGHT!!!

    It's just that simple.

  • @theonlyyamaman No, the right brain stores information via visualizations, etc.

The left brain creates information logically.

That's why when people lie, they'll look to their right so they can piece together a logical story.

    You fail, dumbass.

  • @YoriATTACKS

Wrong, wrong, WRONG!!! NLP has it backwards.

How do I know? Because EVERY one of my psychology professors have said the exact same thing:

When the eyes go to the right; the person is telling the TRUTH!

When the eyes go to the LEFT they are telling a LIE!

NLP is the only "organization" that has it backwards. Why do you think NLP is NOT recognized by ANY psychological institution? Because NLP is BULLSHIT and you are a COMPLETE dumbass for going along with it.

    YOU FAIL AT LIFE!!!

  • @theonlyyamaman Your psychology professors are retarded. So are you.

You're mixing up their right with yours.

Do some research before you post dumb shit, you dumb shit.

  • @YoriATTACKS

Oh sure!!! Every one of my professors from different schools and different time periods have told me the wrong thing (sarcasm). NLP is full of inaccuracies, lies and unforetold amounts of tainted experiments.

I am a college graduate and I know something about doing my research before I speak (or type).

The "eye patterns" used in this video is for a LEFT-HANDED person. This video is 90% USELESS since 9/10th of the population is RIGHT-HANDED. You stupid-dumb-moronic piece of shit.

  • @theonlyyamaman Not to mention, the fucking CIA, FBI, and any law enforcement in any major country uses this for questioning and interrogations.

  • @YoriATTACKS

You're right, the CIA, FBI and law enforcement DO use this as a standard. BUT THEY SHOULDN'T BE!!! Two years ago EVERY Website I visited about how to spot a liar using "eye patterns" said the EXACT opposite of what is seen in this video. Now that people are watching this shit on youtube; they are using it as a basis to use in "real life" and coming up with false negatives and false positives. That's why lie detectors are complete bullshit and so easily beaten.

    So, NLP = BULLSHIT!!!

  • @ogfunk187

IF NLP was trying to do what you say they are doing, then they shouldn't be showing it off and publishing it to people who are actually using it in their practice when it's false.

I know NLP has this backwards because I tested it. I asked my friends and family members the "what color is your front door" question. They all looked to the upper-right. They had no idea I was experimenting on them and they were all telling the truth. Unfortunately I do not know any left-handed people.

  • Comment removed

  • @ogfunk187

I do have an interest in "people's patterns." I've been examining people's faces, body movements, sounds they make, their "little qwerks," voice patterns as well as "eye patterns" for over 15 years now (for my own research purposes (I do that a lot)).

I agree that no everybody is the same. Also, I do agree that not all rules are definite fact; however, they don't say that in any of their videos I have seen. Usually, with NLP it's "this is how it is. PERIOD!" Just look at this video.

  • Comment removed

  • @ogfunk187

    That's where the folly is:

-They post this video on YouTube knowing that thousands of people could watch it.

-They NEVER said that this doesn't apply to everyone.

-They NEVER mention ANYTHING about having to read a book first BEFORE watching ANY of their videos.

So what happens when when people watch this video? Well, being ignorant to the previous FACTS which you and I have stated; they assume this video is true and get false results which they assume are positive.

    So: NLP = STUPID!

  • @theonlyyamaman

I think you have to get a baseline for every person you study to see when they are telling the truth and when they make up a lie. Im new to this but i think thats what usually happens.

  • @BrisbaneMile

True that; however, there are a few things that most people do when they lie. Usually a perfect stranger will have little to no reason to lie to you. However, when you're buying from someone or selling to someone; a baseline is a good idea to set. Just ask some basic questions about whatever deal you are trying to make; questions to which you surely know the answer.

  • @theonlyyamaman Um, no. Think about it.

The left brain can think logically, and the right brain can think in terms of intuitiveness. The logical brain is helpful in piecing together information, or otherwise creating a sound story. The right brain is good at remembering and looking at stored events.

And since we're cross-wired, the left brain controls the right, and the right controls the left. Conversely, we look to the right to access the left brain, and the left to access the right.

  • @YoriATTACKS

    Hello again, Yori:

I think you have it backwards. Check out this Website:

    wherecreativitygoestoschool --DOT-- com/vancouver/left_right/rb_test --DOT-- htm

Just replace the --DOT--s with actual periods and give it a look at the third sentence. You do not have to answer any of the questions; just read the third sentence and close the page.

  • @theonlyyamaman Yeah man I know this. And those are the exceptions, however this video doesn't show the exception.

I can't explain why these EAC are correct in more simple terms, so please go back and read my last comment carefully.

  • @YoriATTACKS

I just read it again and I still do not agree with or this video or NLP as a whole. Most of their videos make no sense at all. For example:

There was a video in which the guy was talking to his interviewer; he said:

When you talk about yourself, always refer to yourself as "I" or "Me."

Well, that was a great help because when I talk about myself I usually call myself "They" or "We" or "That guy over there."

There's a reason why NLP is NOT recognized by the world of psychology.

  • Ask me another one.

  • The makers of this video are trying to be helpful, yet this is far from helpful. In fact extremely misleading and inaccurate. I wish eye patterns were like this in real life!! And of course, they're not. As they say, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and now nearly half a million viewers of this have got completely the wrong idea.

  • @gdm777 very good approach. you are right. it does not apply to everyone. left handed and right handed people have different patterns. the only differences would be the side to which the person looks at. left-right opposition.

to be able to have an accurate understanding, you need to determine the basic pattern for everyone you talk with. a few quick subtle questions will show you the pattern. and from there on, you can develop a better understanding of the person in front of you.

  • @gdm777 Then why dont know you suggest where he went wrong and what we as viewers can do to gain a better understanding. That could also be achieved in six or less than six lines perhaps, books, links etc.

  • the thing is in this vid that that make is so easy to see

and they did not say that it changes if our lefty or righiti

  • @gdm777 How is that misleading?

  • @gdm777

Hi, i agree on the bit "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing..."... but if one is really interested in NLP, I'm pretty sure they're not going to rely on a few videos on youtube... they might try reading someone's expression for fun but won't make a profession out of it post watching this video (>.<)

this is only a channel and this was an extremely cool video... it did get my friend and me to start reading on NLP comprehensively...

    @PietroGLantrua: so coooooooool :D Thanks...

  • @gdm777 I don't understand what you find so misleading about this video

  • @gdm777 I've heard also that t could depend upon if you are more left brained or right, which hand you use mainly also. The Feds use a technique incorporated into this called micro-expressions.

  • @gdm777 @gdm777 You'd be surprised how obvious it is in the real world to read eye cues when you ask a question and all you have to do is hawk those eyes for the response. Sometimes it's even MORE obvious than this video. Especially with really emotive people. Eye movements vary from person to person but don't make the mistake of thinking this is super hard unless you can read subtle skin tone changes. That's a mistake. Poker players and street hustlers use these techniques very effectively.

  • @gdm777 500,000 people got the right idea, it's bullshit.

  • @gdm777 The makers of this film use eye patterns all the time. More akin to science than art.

  • @gdm777 I have to agree totally. You are right. If anyone doubts it simply Grab a few family and or friends and ask the same questions observe notate and compare each to see what you get I guarantee it won't be exactly the same as this. You can however learn the most common responses if you start observing for yourself, it is a very useful tool especially to know when someone is lying to you. (pathetic as it is)

  • @gdm777 Could you perhaps provide an actual explanation as to why you believe this information is inaccurate. It should be noted that eye patterns are idiosyncratic and habitual for each person, and may (with calibration) form significant clues as to how a person is processing or representing a problem to themselves unconsciously.

  • @gdm777 NLP does not say it is 'always' this way, but rather that one should check whether reliable correlations seem to exist for an individual, and if so what they are. Yes there are variables. Yes this is a crude system to deduct a persons internal thought process but what other system is there? Let me know when you've developed you're telekinetic powers.

  • fake

  • @Ellipticus Prove it... Go out and test it out... It's just a demonstration of something everyone does

  • this is generalized... if you wanted accuracy in "reading someone" you would need to pattern their normal movements (called "norming") and you have to always consider that this is just a tool, it isn't as accurate a predictor as the experts make it out to be - furthermore, what do you do about someone who is ambidextrous?

  • Thanks for writing the explanations jakburk. Now, does anyone realize what these six directions have in common?

For instance, visual construct and visual recall would in fact lead to the same eye responses because a construct very much depends on recall (we don't create images out of nothing).

They also imply an internal dialogue that would unbalance the responses even further.

  • Love it when its that text book ... some people are not as expressive as that though so you have to observe very carefully. Some may access very very fast indeed.

have fun with it though. question anyone and it is a human distinction !

  • what if someones left handed would that have an effect on this since the brains are switched? answer plz

  • @redguy4 Left handed people will actually do it in reverse !

ask someone a remembered image question and if they access up and to the right, ask if they are left handed. They freak out ! its very amusing... although i have worked with some partial lefty's who access like the above. its worth establishing that first.

  • @redguy4 Yes, it's the opposite for left handers.

  • @ImSorryOfficer thanks for telling me, I'm left-handed so I can use that information :P

  • @redguy4 No problem. :-)

  • pretty good, if your new to nlp and want memebrship check out nlpa.co.uk

  • And what's the point of this exactly?

  • @xEternalx well if you memorize this you can tell when people are lieing by llookoing at there eyes

  • @denismelamed

    Example?

  • @xEternalx why watch it then skeptick

  • @MsDjMAC

Wow. Where did that come from lol? How am I skeptick for wondering about the uses of this thing? My question below is "What's the point of this?" And someone replied "To tell when people are lying." But how do you tell someone is lying by looking at their eyes?

You might know the answer though. Let me know if you can think of an example.

  • @xEternalx If you're making up a lie, you use visual or audio construct(to make something up). If you're actually just recalling, then you use visual or audio recall.

Not only can this be used for detecting lies, but it can also help you detect what someone may be thinking of. There is more to it than shown in this video.

  • I know about this and people don''t move their eyes that long or that obvious. The guy in this video seems to be acting.

  • People say they don't do that, but they most likely really do, they just do it all the time so they don't notice that they are doing it

  • @Fimblert Exactly, and those who don't believe it should really look up some research done on Cognitive Biases. Really sheds light on how we all seem to think we're exceptions to these kinds of things, I guess it's just a defense mechanism as nobody likes to admit that we're that easy to figure out and understand.

  • That's true.

  • thats bull,i don't know any one who has done that in there whole life.

  • @daftmastercheifpunk You do it daily, presuming you have conversations with people.

  • interesting.

  • fake .. i never do that :s

  • @pristinepicture i did sort of the same thing but opposite side sometimes

  • This is just to show you where the eyes move to, of course it is staged. C should stand for Creating(same as construction I guess) This is a great tool for interviewing suspects or dishonest employees. However body language, created jobs, and timing all have to be present to determine if someone is deceptive. If the eyes goes up and to the left: visually recalling(something actually expeirienced), up to the right(visually creating) creating a false statement ect....

  • These are not spontaneous reactions but controlled eye movements. Maybe it should demonstrate how it could look like with someone authentic. It´s maybe for training purposes must not be a fake, but definitely not spontaneous.

  • not accurate

  • this seems obviously a non authentic demonstration. Their childish laughter inbetween indicates, that they are doing a hoax.

  • @Sturmfranco You're right, 0:44 his eyes move before the question is asked.

....If you think back to that color (his eyes should move right up) what would it look like in your mind if it was (at this point his eyes moved, not yet visually constructing) ...red with pink spots.

    conclusion, fake.

  • A majority of people look left when recalling something familiar, and right when they have to construct a new thought. I catch myself doing this all the time, and others as well.

  • yeah, helpful but don't treat it as some kind of 'universal system' for everyone... eyes can tell you much, but only can give a clue, not the whole truth about someone... observe whole body movement/language... NLP is a great, easy way to understand and learn people behaviour, if you treat NLP > psychology you are far away behind... NLP is not psychology, NLP is based on 1/3 of psychology

  • it didn't really work for me

  • very helpful

  • bloody seagulls!!!

  • The Bundesnachrichtendienst today uses the secret weapons developed during the Third Reich for brainwashing and torture. Some description of these techniques is given on my youtube channel as well.

  • say a person is looking right @ construct, does it means that he is editting the truth?

  • This video is a ridiculous over generalization. Everyone has their own unique anchors for each memory or process.

Example: Angela is an accountant. When asked to think about any number she always looks down. That is where she see numbers, on her desk. And if you ask her about spiders, which she is has a phobia, she looks straight ahead. And if you ask her about her husband she looks up to the left. If you want success at NLP its important to notice all anchors including eye movements.

  • For the people who think this is fake, ask the same type of questions to anyone you know (who is right handed) and you can prove to yourself that it really works! (If they are left handed, just reverse the eye cues.)

  • It's obviously "fake". But it had to be done this way to show how someone would move their eyes for specific answering, obviously.

  • Fake

  • I know it's real but that seemed fake you don't look thar far

  • I have a (phobia) or something that is stopping me from continuing my profession career

  • @comfortablynumb4 ... you are?

  • a way to tell if someone is lying (in an interigation) is ask them where they were at a certain time, if there eyes move, then they are telling the truth, if there eyes dont, then they are lying
