  • you know what they say about woman drivers. this is where it comes from RIP Eric

  • ben!

  • typical woman driver, doesnt know what the hell shes doing

  • rob cole

  • dumb female

  • WTF was she thinking?

  • I saw this from a different angle in a different video, after she hit him his door was covered in red, hope that isn't what i think it is.

  • Fuck you fat fucks who think Renshaw killed him on purpose. Go to hell you fucking trolls. Go die in a hole as clearly you have nothing better to do.

  • @Frigus5 Umad?

  • Deborah Renshaw kill him

  • shouldnt she have been in the kitchen?

  • 1st the car was white on a white backround thats not easy to see going at 160+mph 2nd she hadno spotter telling her where the car was all she did was hold her line and when she saw him it was too late if it was her fault it was probably because she checked her gauges and couldnt react in time and will everyone shut up about her being a woman shes probably a better driver than you

  • spotters should always be used.

  • wow that sucks, after thinking everything is ok and unbuckling his seatbelt some bitch hits him and splatters him all over the inside of his car

  • Mepookie....... Really? Do you have no feelings? That was terrible. Serisouly.....

  • see below g

  • People...Nobody on the track had a spotter in the stands. After Martin crashed, there were no yellow flags or flashing lights. Renshaw had no way of knowing there was a crash on the track...that was ARCA's fault. The cars go about about 160 out of turn 4. Renshaw was running her line and simply didn't have time to react...the fact that she's a woman has nothing to do with it. Under the circumstances, anybody would have done the same thing...it's just one of those unfortunate things...

  • @MelloDude7F

Yeah anybody would've done the same thing, except those guys who got there first with less time to react...

  • @MelloDude7F The yellow flag WAS thrown and the flagman activated the Caution Lights around the track also... Get ur facts straight, bud!

  • @MelloDude7F NASCAR didn't require them to have spotters during practice in 2002 either. However the majority of the teams used them.

  • @MelloDude7F the driver does deserve partial blame though because the caution lights were on for almost 10 seconds before he made contact

  • @MelloDude7F the fact that she's a woman has nothing to do with it. The fact that she's not a good enough driver to be on a fast oval has everything to do with it. Spotter's are guides but they don't drive for you. If you can't look ahead of what's coming up on the track... then you shouldn't be in a racecar. How can you say that under those circumstances anybody would have done the same thing when the first 3 cars avoided him? That's proof that no, not everyone would have done the same thing.

  • some bloke died racing cars, seriously so what? people die

  • Comment removed

  • what do you mean 'so what'? no one's denying the fact people die, you ignorant heartless cunt. i know absolutely nothing about ARCA racing, but i do know is that there is a family out there without a son right now. if i were you, i'd be ashamed of myself.

  • Grow up, thousands of people die every day, if i spent every minute of my life feeling sympathetic to those who do i would not do anything else, its motor racing, its an accident. i bet the family are gutted but i bet the family of some child in africa who dies of starvation are gutted too, but you dont see that shit on youtube. everything is relative g. at least he died doing something he loved.

  • I think it was nascar ....never saw something like that comming.....Just think she gets up everyday and relives that bad day in both of there lives, i'm sure !hearts have to out out to both familys

  • wtf wata dumb fuck how could u not see him there and also wouldnt she have seen a safety flag?

  • the girl didn't have a spotter and they didn't have safety flags!!! They started to do the safety flag thing after this fatal crash!!! but still nascar lets cars go out with out a spotter.......if they only do 2 laps like the MSRP Motorsports cars #90 & #91 (start and park cars)!

  • god that's so horrible. one thing i've noticed is that just because its a woman everybody has to be heartless jackasses. screw off. it was an accident. she is very upset and she deserves to be forgiven. so if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all

  • Luckily your ugly gene by-passed

  • fuckin lesbo killed someone

  • but the thing is these things are ment to happen. like a destiny or something. she learned her lesson deeply =/

  • ya shes like fucking blind

  • every other car went around him except the one driven by a woman..what a surprise....sad to see someone killed by another incompetence

  • moral of the story: Spotters should be at the stand WHENEVER cars hit the track. sadly it always takes the death of another for these sanctioning bodies to figure this out. R.I.P. Eric.

  • will youtube please disable comments on this I dont need to see some kid claiming to be renshaw's son.

  • tell me something I don't already know Napoleon

  • what?

  • Youtube really need to take away the comment capability, 2 out of 3 comments is some retard with no life laughing about a death or pretending to be a "son" or a made up 'daughter' of the victim. Apologies Turok if you are either Brian or Matt, but the other person pretending to be Eric's daughter, according to Wiki, Eric didnt have a daughter? explain that.

  • oH...my god..

  • Only 40 Starts Into His Career If He Was Alive I Bet He Could Have Been In Nascar It Was 2 Early For Him To Die I Would Hate To See Him Looking At The Car Coming To Hit Him. He Was Taking Off His Seat Belt Never Expecting 3 A car 3 hit him R.I.P Eric Me And Him Have The Same Name ='(

  • Every time a driver gets in their car, they know they might die. Tragic accidents are a fact of life in motorsport.

  • agreed, but none the less, it hurts to see death no matter what the circumstances...

  • Eric Martin was one of my best friends. We were on the J.L.B. together in Charleston. We had some good times. He stood in my wedding. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. My sympathy for his wife, his two boys, his brother, his mom and his entire family. Eric was a good man. I cannot watch this video. I don't want to see my friends life end this way. I will always remember Eric laughing because that's what he did the most. I miss you Eric but I know I'll see you again.

  • @darbytucker stfu, back under your bridge please

  • What colors do u like? Who is your favorite action hero? Hey douche bag...no one cares to know ur life story. Comments are for the videos not for retards to share what they like to do between story time and play-doh time... Keep this to ur therapist.

  • well first of all none of u know what the hell u are talkin about cuz i was there. and second of all when u know what ur talkin about then speak. it was a freak accident. i watched someone very close to me and my family die. when u know what happened then talk. this video needs to be taken off immediatly. its aweful to re watch. and she wasnt a bad driver. and eric DIDNT TAKE HIS FUKIN BELTS OFF!.R.I.P eric. we miss you and think about u everyday!

  • if you dont enjoy to watch why are you watching again and again? to me this is like comedy tv show, maybe you should change the channels. I think he took his seatbelt off, naughty naughty, and lady driver should only ride camels not sports car.

  • I'm very sorry for your loss, but I have to disagree. I admit that I had never heard of Eric Martin when he passed, and for a long time, didn't know much about the crash. I think it's important for people who want to learn about the history of auto racing to have access to videos like this. If nothing else, it will make people who think they want to "race them there stock cars" think twice before they strap on a helmet and play Days of Thunder at a local short track.

  • You don't know shit stacey. He had already told his crew he was fine , and taken his helmet off and loosened his belts. If you look at the the other video that has the different angle, you can actually see him hanging his helmet on the helmet hook inside the car. Whether he had his belts and helmet fastened, would not have mattered. This fuck up of her not looking "past the nose of her car" would have ended in his death. For everyone...Spotters, or the lack of, NEVER is the cause of a wreck

  • you clearly have a personal issue with renshaw and are unable to see this unfortunate incident how it was

  • @jcarp1980 you're the fuck up. You just love repeating the same old shit about looking past the nose of your car, blah blah blah.. Renshaw reached far higher in life than ypu ever will pal

  • I do keep repeating that. Cause that is exactly what caused this mans death. She did make it farther than I ever will. But, shaggy, I have NEVER killed anyone because of my inability to notice a race car that is wrecked and has been stopped for 20+ seconds...

  • So bearing in mind what you are accusing her of. Do you think she should have done jail time for causing his death?

  • No Shagg I don't. It's racing. It's dangerous. A split-second can be the diff between life & death. Almost all deaths in motorsports r directly caused by human error. Had this happened on the Interstate I'm sure there would be at least a civil lawsuit. But if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. If she were charged there are alot of others who should have been charged. #1 would be Kerry Earnhardt in Blaise Alexander's death. He flat wrecked and killed that kid. And that kid would've been GREAT

  • Yes he did, he loosened his belts and was beginning to take off his helmet when Renshaw plowed him. You can clearly see it.

Seriously, go back to school and learn english. I don't know how people can even read this shit.

By the way, why should it be taken off? If anything, it needs to stay because it helps prevent accidents like this. If it hurts you that fucking bad, stop watching. Until then, gooooo awayyyyy.

    Dumbass.

  • Wow your a winner. Another fatality video you have put shit on. Good job

  • Well, if you're ever on T.V. let me know.

  • okay so i would really like it if this was taken off of here......this was not about a bad women driver or them not notifing her in time..... look this was my father. and i do not find this amusing at all. what the fuck would you do if it happened to you. think about that for awhile you sick fuckers. take it off or i take you out.

  • My god you are an illiterate douchebag. This video needs to stay on here for educational purposes. If it hurts you that god damn bad, get the fuck off! Little pussy.

By the way, you're not going to do shit. I wanna see you take me out, douchewad.

  • yea but swearing doesnt do any better eather. we learn from this because its not God's will its the will of the world and its ruler Satan.

  • Is ur frist name "IDIOT" or asshole

  • no my middle name is asshole why?

  • No effort whatsoever on the part of the woman driver to avoid the car...She had enough time to react in some way. She did nothing.

  • Nah, for a woman driver she had excellent reaction time. Notice how she didn't pull into reverse afterwards and back over one of the rescue workers.

  • How in the hell did she not see a white car with a #2 on it sitting on the frontstech?!

  • Or maybe she was too busy gossiping over the headset.

  • She was not notified of the crash and it was impossible to see the wreck until it was way too late.

But women are good drivers mostly...just take Dakar 2002 winner Jutta Kleinschmidt or ex-DTM racer Ellen Lohr as an example.

  • what would u say if it wasnt a women? huh?

and like vallecrash said, she didnt kno about the crash, she was going at such high speeds, and she wasnt notified of a crash near where she was, so she went into the turn like any other driver would if there was no car stationed right there

  • So take this shit off YouTube already. Who the hell wants to see someone die? You sick bastards. My condolences to his kin.

  • if anyone posts anymore comments on this saying its funny or whatever i will hunt you down...thats a promise, that was my buddys dad in that car...i love you matty, im so sorry.

  • hahaha, this comment is almost as funny as the woman driver pwnage

  • GaryWantsToLearn might what to change his name to GaryWantsToGetHisAssKicked. He's another one of those mindless dumbasses who think this stuff is hilarious.

  • This is not funny in the slightest, that is the very last moments of my father and whoever posted this i will see to it that something coems your way, all you people who think that this is hilarious or funny in some way shape or form deserve the same kind of death my father received that day.

  • shut up!!! ... i agree with you but don't lie... Eric Martin had 2 sons... it says on your profile that your name is Candice... yeah, not ur father...

  • I just gotta say, none of this is funny, or amusing, my boys lost their father that day, it was an accident, yes, but try walking in their shoes for one day, or his mother maybe, or his wife or brother..I have never seen so many inconsiderate comments in my life..all of you need to remember the ones he left behind who are still dealing with this every day, we dont need to see this bullshit splashed all over the web,,think about how you would feel had it happened to you..

  • I was @100 yards from the accident standing in the pits that day. It was an awful sight. my cousin was practicing trying to qualify for the race, qualifying was cancelled and they took drivers in the race by points. That was the last time I went to a track.

  • doesn't seem like she even tried to avoid or slow down

  • rip

  • This is why female drivers should not race in NASCAR.

  • R.I.P Eric, you didn't deserve to go this way!

  • Good race drivers are always sharp and reading the track ahead.

Bad race drivers don't see much past the end of their car hood. Bad women drivers with an attitude problem don't see past the end of their nose. Isn't it convenient that this selfish mole just chooses to ignore her actions. Fighting for women's rights, hey?

    What an IDIOT!

  • Notice how she was running the race line at speed. Thats why women should stay the fuck out of Nascar. They can not drive worth shit. She was probably switching her blood rag.

  • Deborah renshaw was only in nascar because she stirred up controversy in a local series because male drivers found out that she was getting treated differently for being a woman. She whined and got the support of people who don't know the real story and suddenly people thought she was a good driver. This accident proves her true abilities as a driver.

  • Actually, a group of guys screwed her out of the points championship. They entered a car in the race with the only reason being for that car to finish behind her, so that driver could protest her. Get your facts straight. That was what stirred up controversy.

  • Don't know where you heard that at...Totally untrue. Renshaw actually went on to drive in the Nascar Craftsman Truck series after this. She drove the Easy Care #8 Dodge in 2005.

  • Dude you didn't hear that, you came up with another dumbass comment to leave on a fatal crash because you're a jackass like that...

  • motorhead for your info she did not have a spotter atop the hauler! because of this crash NASCAR and ARCA now mandates that any car on the track must have a spotter. her crew was shor handed and did not have a spotter in place at the time. And Eric's car stopped on the vido at 15 sec the impact was at 22 sec that is 7 sec. it is not like she ran a full lap before she hit him. that would only be about the length of turns 3 and 4 at that speed.

  • A terrible thing there, if thats true about her seeing him and not knowing what do do. She proved that she makes bad decisions, some take her car keys please!

  • motorhead...you are absolutely mistaken. Debra had no spotters at the time of the wreck. Spotters did not work practice days in NASCAR, BUSCH, or ARCA. This accident is why NASCAR, then later, ARCA, mandated spotters for practice sessions.

  • I'm not sexist, but in fairness, this accident only happened, because a woman was driving. Women take longer to make decisions because they're guided by emotions, not logic. I heard Debra admitted to many auto sport magazines, that she saw Eric sitting there from the backstretch onward, but spent over a half a lap, debating what to do about it. How sad :(

  • first of all saying igrls should do only dishes is extremely sexist! And it's not only her fault. Going that fast not much reaction time. PLus her spotter wasn't in a place to warn her where the crash was...

  • the caution lights were on, she actually had people on her radio who were watching the track from on top of their hauler, and there was leftover smoke drifting off of the track from where he originally spun in turn 4. absolutely an incredibly avoidable crash.

    RIP Eric Martin

  • The poor Martin died because he was already unbuckled RIP Martin Got to fell sorry for Debra Renshaw

  • Girls stay off the track. How do you not know that a car is right in front of you. CHicks do dishes and please do not race. That means you Danica Patrick

  • That is a rather sexist comment.

  • Yep Go Deborah!

    My Old Step-Aunt.

    Can't Drive For Nothing.

She Said She Didn't See The Car Which Is Really Hard To Believe Because Its RIGHT THERE!

    Wow.

  • This is why they do not race back to the start/finish line anymore.

  • No, that's because Michael Waltrip almost killed Dale Jarrett sitting in the middle of the track about 2 years later.

  • Actually, this is why they are required to have spotters in place during practice and cars now have yellow caution lights installed inside the car.

  • In Heaven, the only thing Eric Martin was upset about was that his race car wasn't as visible as it should have been. :)

  • No, I imagine that in heaven, Eric is upset that he is not here with his wife and boys...

RIP Eric, your family and friends still miss you every day.

  • I was only joking, geez.

  • Sorry, not funny when it's a friend of yours...

  • Oh, I'm sorry. :(

  • She said that approaching it, she froze up and went into shock.

  • The worst part of the whole deal was the poor guy was sitting there waiting for everyone to slow down and ends up watching the car kill him. What a horrible way to go.

  • He was actually talking to his pit crew and told them he was OK after wrecking, then that!!

  • women and cars dont mix. ... 15 seconds. who the fuck hits someone after they have been stopped after 15 seconds

  • I agree...stick to doing dishes girls

  • wow she is stupid!... doesnt she race trucks?

  • stupid women drivers, a woman caused me to have a wreck the other day because she turned without using a dang blinker women and old people dont need to be driving anyway

  • So old man Earnhardt shouldn't have been driving huh? There are just as many bad male drivers as there are female.

  • Earnhardt didn't kill someone that had been sitting still for 16, yes, a full SIXTEEN seconds.

  • Okay, have you ever taken a lap around that track before? The A-post on a car blocks your view of what's coming off turn 4 until you're already in it. Not to mention -- that is a white car, next to a white wall, so it's possible Renshaw could have missed it. Also, that is a very fast turn (190 MPH), and when you're in the high lane, you do not have enough time to slow down (without locking the brakes up) and turn to the left to avoid it without wrecking yourself.

  • I have not taken a lap around this particular track I have taken a lap around many high banked tracks I understand, that the A post makes it hard to see U always have to be looking ahead for this I was yelling at the TV after this happened because people blamed this on the spotters The spotter does not drive the car and real racing has NO spotters Also no cars are running 190 mph out of 4 on this track. Cup cars are just hitting 165 at this time. Not looking past the nose of the car killed a man

  • precisely why women shouldnt drive

  • omg... that sucks

  • she waz a fukin hud driver!! no experience

  • wow that is too bad, Eric Martin was unbuckling his safety belts and everything when he got hit, similar to how Chris Gherke was killed at Talladega in 1991

  • Of course, safety belts wouldn't have saved anyone from getting hit like that.

  • the caution lights were on, she should have slowed down

  • omg...thats wild. RIP Eric

  • Are you kidding?...a "buckle" wouldn't have saved him...thats direct impact at about 190mph into a driver's door and hes stationary. Get a clue Katrinasman...

  • not 190 its arca, maybe 160 but still. thats a big hit

  • it looked like the speeding car didnt even slow down, it actually looked like it got faster

  • he didnt get faster by the time he saw it and his reaction got to the pedal he was already into him, he took his car into the wall but not good enough

  • yeah it is a she in the second car.

  • Yeah anyone that takes a hit at that speed directly into the driver side door while completely stopped isn't going to come out alive...even with all the safety equipment they have now.

  • omg!!! is it illegal for ARCA to have breaks or somethin?

    R.I.P. Eric Martin

  • her spotter? that's driver negligence more than anything. caution lights were on, let alone anything else.

    RIP Eric Martin

  • This reminds me of the Paul Dana incident. Someone has to be on the horn saying "YELLOW FLAG, CRASH in TURN FOUR"

  • good lord. someone fire her spotter.

  • then they didnt have spotters during practice

  • yeah they did, the spotters just weren't required to sit in the grandstands at the time

  • @maisely You should at least know what your talking about before posting...1st off the spotters DONT sit in the grandstands...they stand on the spotters towers above the grandstands....2nd..at that time the spotters were not being used..arca which is this series...NOT NASCAR......spotters were not required during practice....after this NASCAR made mandated that any car on the track ha to have a spotter...Im pretty sure arca soon followed.

  • he's dead... oh well. terrible. RIP Eric Martin. buckles may have saved him

  • Wow, worse than I thought. He was ok too and was unbuckling his safety equipment when she struck him.

  • Wow what a terrible crash, worse than Blaise Alexander what was she doin she coulda dove or gone down pit road

  • she didnt know the car was there

  • its a white car, not black...if she'd look she could have saw it. JMO...

  • but coming around the turn she didnt have the time to go anywhere else

  • It's a white car against a white wall.. that's not so easy to see when you're coming from a corner at high speed..

  • OH MY GOD! I'm not sure theres any amount of safety equipment that would have save him in that kind of crash that was just awful R.I.P Eric Martin

  • man that is some hit easy to beleive he was dead on impact i think he was tellin his team that he was ok and then BAM

  • This is one reason I would never participate in motorsports. Someday you might kill someone and not be able to do anything to avoid it.

  • Do you drive on the road? More race drivers(and everyday folks) have died in traffic accidents by far. Trained medical staff on site and these cars have so much safety built into them. A stopped car getting T-Boned is a bad situation whether racing or not though. Can't change your destiny.

  • Jesus...Thats was hard to watch..never seen this angle before. Thanks for posting.

  • Man, no wonder he died. That was sickening to watch....
