Hmmmm. I've seen people use the little alcohol swabs to wipe off the lip plate and key tops, and I suppose you could wipe the body down, but any moisture would have to be kept away from the pads. I don't know if that would sterilize it completely, as the germs would still be inside, but you could clean most of the surface that you would touch. You might try a flute chat board and see if that has come up. I have had students that swear they caught sicknesses a second time from their flutes!
i was wondering if there is a way to sterilize my flute, like for example when you boil a fork to kill all bacterias? The thing is that i got a Pharngitis (not sure of the spelling) and i played my flute while i was sick. My doctor told me that the flute needed to be sterilized, but i need to know if there is a way to clean it thoroughly? Thank you.
