I actually quite liked Archie as a villain. I think he must've been the most cunningly cruel man to have ever stepped foot in Walford. Eastenders' Christmas 2009 might be my favourite of them all.

before he gets hit there is lots of whispers that sound like stacey and very faintly it sounds like it says bradley. Also on christmas day at the carol service stacey looked over and saw bradley coming out of the vic and then walked toward the vic before they showed the suspects. i guess i only noticed this because now i know stacey killed him :)

He was a completely horrible character and I was glad he was being killed off...but I think in those final few moments where he looks into the snow globe you're meant to see him feeling regret for his actions...and further proof is when Ronnie finds him and he says sorry with his last breath.

@callumfromlondon Yer Ronnie and kat give birth but Ronnie's baby dies of coat death and goes to the queen vic she hears kats baby crying she goes upstairs and swaps the baby's over so Kat thinks her baby is dead also Stacey leaves but we dont know how and Ben Mitchel returns and is Jelouse of Jay because he is more like a son to phil then he ever was

this is the best storyline in eastenders ever, i think now the show is becoming too much of a joke, from the last year eastenders has had murders, weddings, and who dun nits, but now so many great characters have left and the current storylines are boring, The live episode which had gripped the nation was unforgettable and it doesn't get any better than that, please give us more

i think that archie is one of the most evil characters to ever come into eastenders but i think larry lamb is amazing :) because he has done this and then you see him as a generally lovely person in gavin & stacey :) and i think it shows he also has different sides to him :) and in real life he seems lovely too :) xx

Eastenders I love your soap but in recent years your storyline have not been of high standard and the acting from characters is bad The who killed Archie storyline went on way too long and when we finally found out on the live show I was left thinking ok is that all I expected a better anding to a storyline that went on for what felt like a year and the live show had too many mistakes in it Eastenders your draging your storylines on 2 long and not giving da audience a big enough explosive ending

@shanefolan Their storylines are good but I'm always left expecting more. The storyline about The Vic going on fire wasn't great. They made the lead up to it more explosive than it was. Compare to years ago Eastenders isn't as good

there was actually only Larry Lamb (Archie) and a stunt man in this scene. and what looks like ''stacey hair'' is just the colour of the Queen Vics bust. I think the whispering is to show Archies life ''flashing before his eyes'' and Staceys voice is the most clear because she was actually the one who killed him, but they didnt want us to suspect anything.

Upon watching this scene last week again, the whispering as the bust fell stood out for me. Stacey's voice can clearly be heard and immediately I thought it was her that did it. Executive director Diedrick Santer said there was a clue in the Christmas day episode and to me this was a big a clue as you could wish for which was not immediately apparent. If you listen, you can deffinately hear her voice.
