Scientists are humans, too, right? So by your own admission they have the same intellectual capacity as Christians, so what makes what they say fact & what the Bible says fiction? Just b/c scientists haven't proven something doesn't make it fake. They haven't proven where DNA came from. Many scientists actually do believe in a "higher power" b/c of DNA.
