This is what we have recently studied at school. But what i dont underdtand is how could they be so heartless? How could they shoot the children without shedding a tear? What did the children do to deserve this? We also read a novel called angel on the square, which gives you the story from their point of view, which makes it that much sadder.
Cut the crap. The Romanov's rule was totalitarian and Russia was little above feudal level when the Romanov's and their rule ended. Russian peasant were serfs until 1861, that was 50 odd years before.
Many Russian kids suffered in poverty during the rule of the Romanovs, do you cry for them?
Heartless?? The Romanovs were heartless, and probably brainless too because they did very little to modernize and industrialize Russia.
@McLarenMercedes And what did Lenin and his Bolshevik whores do? Eighty some years of iron handed rule and millions executed and many more children starved under him. Lenin was a liar, a con-artist, and a fraud who was WORSE than the Czar ever was. Study your history before you make these Obama type comments!
Czar Nicholas II, your archaic rule doomed Russia, you lost the war against the Central Powers in WW1 and bankrupted, thereby dooming millions of Russians (and other ethnic group living in Imperial Russia) to starvation and humiliation. You didn't understand that Russia needed rapid industrialization to develop and remain independent, this is something even Stalin realized when he started the rapid industrialization in the 1920's which saved Russia's ass in WW2.
@McLarenMercedes Stalin D I R E C T L Y caused of 16 MILLION Russians and did little that didn't benefit him and his "government". I may be a fool, but you are one dumb motherfucker, asshole!

Some people may say good riddance. But the truth is as far as I know thay didnt do anything wrong.. Nicholas mabey wasnt the best ruler ever but he still wanted what was best for his country. It was prob hard for him. he wasnt a natral born ruler. But I pray that thare in heaven. If thay did do something wrong God will juge them for it. But I still think thay shouldn't have been killed. The men that killed them were just plane evil. Totally wrong.
@pnianchii00 yes they were in da history book and wedsite i havent seen shit wrong ok yea he wasnt a great king cuz he didnt want it since he was 9yrs old he aint want it cuz even wen his father was bomb n killed he jus wanted to live and b with his loving family n myjanuary15,1987 talkin trash smfh
it kinda looks like lots of versions of them being killed coz some scenes look different 2 others but seriously these pplz r heartless jus 2 kill a whole family like that!
and look for a way to bring them home. Somehow I believe I will see Anastasia Romanov and her siblings return in my lifetime. If I was one of those horror-able man in a past lifetime then I am sorry for trying to hurt those beautiful children. I was likely so full of hate ,lies and drunk at the time I likely couldn't control myself.
Who knows maybe that woman Anna Anderson was a clone created by the real Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov herself playing one of her jokes on us/
She purged most of the hate out of me. What most people complain or hate doesn't bother me. I someone's see a black and white hazy outline of Anastasia around me. What does she want? Well she and anyone else that got saved want to come home from wherever they got stuck. Wouldn't you believe if Russia invented time travel that they would immediately race back to 1918 and try to save them? My purpose as I believe is to find a way to bring them home or encourage others to never give up hope
I believe that in other life I was one of those awful guards who was assigned to kill Anastasia but didn't because of the jewels in her corset. The last moments of that awful night were one of my first memories. I swear I saw at least three other people in the cellar who were not Bolsheviks or Romanov's. I believe them to be time travelers who saved the children . For some reason I also believe it was Anastasia who brought me back knowing I didn't kill her or didn't try to kill her
Always and everywhere, commies are animals. The world without commies this is the world without mass murders of million peoples. Killing, this is the communism idea. Reds are still the same.
Oh yes! The execution of a despot and his family is so heart-breaking when the Czar had ordered the deaths of over 10 million young Russians in the pointless 'Great War'.
I admit shooting the entire family was overkill (forgive the pun) and they were executed horrifically but Nicholas II had it coming.
@rcarass1 The barbaric execution of the whole Romanov family and some of their servants was indeed "overkill". But yes the execution of the Tsar was heart-breaking. Quite apart from the fact that any execution is wrong and the that the Tsar didn't stand trial in a criminal court (not that it would have been a fair trial anyway). Guilt depends on mens rea and actus reus; the Tsar lacked the former entirely and the latter is dubious, didn't "order". You could say the same thing about Lloyd George.

@rcarass1 Let us begin with the fact 10 million Russian soldiers were not killed in battle. The amount of Russians killed in battle on the Eastern Front is closer to 2 million. So don't exaggerate. Second of all Nicholas II didn't order for these men to be killed. The commanders of The Austro-Hungarian and German armies did, because in war it is the objective of one army to weaken the other. So please don't make idiotic sensationalist claims.
@ImperialRussianGuard u speak right, but. 1st why they were so poor tarined army men? He is the greates serbian ally EVER, however man.. how many ppl where starving is russia? while they had EPIC wealth. and thats not sad thing, the whole system was too corrupted..and thats not sad part. STRONG LEADERSHIP, TRUE SERVANT OF RUSSIAN PEOPLE would make things better, but they, Romanovs, lived in a diffent world. They just lost touch with reality. AND THAT MUST BE PUNISHED. simple as that.<3 RUSSIA
@ambasrb btw soz for my bat writing, also i want to add: why they shoot ppl on demonstaion led by priest? Man, as a people ruler u cant alow ppl to starve and system to colapse. Uf u are of example just insane rich guy i dont care what u do with ur time. But if u are ruler of any country u must take care of it. but all they did was enyoing in theur wealth, having orgies on opium, like british court. It was easy for him to send poor ppl to war and die. BTW GULAG DIDNT INVENTED COMMUNISTS TSAR DId
@KikyoChanXD He was not a cruel. May be in some cases he was not strong. But he loved Russia and he loved people. And life in our country was not so bad in that time.
I suspect this occured because the dumjbasses that called themselves the Ural soviet had a panic attack over sounds of fighting between white and red forces nearby but never tried to find out how close the fighting really was. Burn in hell ural soviet and executioners. No one has the right ti kill innocent people like that. I am gonna stop the sobbing cause I am working on a fanfic about the 1960s scifi series The Time Tunnel in which Doug and Tony land in the cellar the day before
From what i learned and heard about the execution was waaaaay more savage. One of the maids i beleive was running around the room sreaming. The bullets bounced off the daughters ( had jewels in their clothes ) so the killers stabbed them several times with their bayonett's.
Louis XVI had a more humane execution compared to this.
the last imperial family of china was well treated by the kindess china revolutionist, the family members enjoyed their life until God called them away; the last imperial family of Russia was murdered by bullet fired by the cruelty Russia revolutionist.
you can see the difference. Romanov should have regreted that they had no such a luck to meet china civilized kindness revolutionist.
A waste! the USSR only lasted from 1917-1991, I beleive the revolution was nessarsary, but killing the royal family of Russia was not, but unfortunatly, nobody wanted the Romanovs alive in Russia so it was pretty much inevitable.
It would have been quite interesting to see what the world would of been like if the Russian Empire still existed.
@Tristan154UK How was the revolution is necessary ? If no body wanted them alive why did so man Russians join the White Army. It was predominantly monarchist after all.
By all accounts they set an example of Orthodox Christianity that converted even the cruelest of guards that were watching them. God chose them to be Martyrs in order to bring the Russian People to repentance for abandoning their anointed Czar and breaking their oath to support him.You can see it now in Russia where the family is venerated in all the Churches.
I am so honored to be connected to them through our faith in the Orthodox Christian Church that they loved so much. I can't wait to meet them . Lord have mercy......
Beautiful job! Thanks for taking the time to make it.
No matter what opinion you have anout the Tzar's rule. The Tzar probably had flaws and benefits for the country. But the murder of a man, his wife, and his children is tragic. Remember the family, remember the innocence stolen away.
@yoshilover442 becuz their is so much evil and hate in the world. this is one of the saddest things I have heard about, and disturbing is an understatement.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Lenin actually wanted to save the Romanov's but no country would give them amnesty--he didn't want to be remembered as a royal killer, though he killed many people--he tried to get them amnesty in England, the US, and many many countries, but nobody wanted to take them because of their unpopularity
@joyann1 Lenin gave the order, but he tried to get them out of Russia -- the reason was that Czechs were heading in that direction and the the civil war was going to shift...
@CommieThreat Recent historical evidence (see The Fate of the Romanovs) suggests that Lenin didn't give the order. He just kept them holed up in Ipatiev House, and wanted ultimately to make Nicholas II stand trial and exile his family. But with the Czechs advancing and the Urals Soviet so bloodthirsty, the Urals Soviet decided to kill them, without getting confirmation from Le
Even if Lenin didn't give the order, he and Trotsky were responsible for countless deaths of innocent children/women
recent study showed that Lenin didn't give order (and he was hesitating as what to do with Romanovs), killing them was done by local Bolsheviks' initiative because of post service delay, they thought Lenin would give such an order anyway, the time came and they receieved no order, so they took the initiative
@CommieThreat That is absurd to think no other country would take them. The european monarchs were all related in some manner. Britian would have taken them for sure. The US would have for sure. This is the first time in my study of History have I ever heard such nonsense. If you like Lenin, fine, but don't make up bullcrap.
@diverdown48 They were all related, but Wilson believed them to be autocrats and he denied their visa to the US, also the UK wouldn't take them because of their reputation after the Great War... I never said I liked Lenin I am just stating history, ask any Russian historian they will tell you that their visas to Britain and the US were denied... also to Greece where the sitting monarch was another cousin of Nicolas
@diverdown48 Also think about this: the true recognition of the Russian government by the United States was given to Alexander Kerensky, they gave him a visa immediately... and Wilhelm was also a cousin of the imperial family, Nicolas was hoping that their tie would prevent war, but it didn't
@CommieThreat Of course their tie wouldn't prevent, they were two countries at war. You say Lenin didn't give the order, that isn't true. People speculate but we don't know the truth.
@CommieThreat but I said Lenin tried to get them visas before he gave the order, after Glasnost and Gorbachev, you could go to the archives and see the visa denials from the US and the UK, unfortunately Putin reclosed the archives since then...
@CommieThreat The day after the revolution every single country in the allied forces wanted to give Alexander Kerensky a visa because they recognized him as the leader of Russia, not the imperial family, they didn't recognize the imperial family because of what they perceived as archaic and poor rule... I am not saying I agree with that, I am just using what Woodrow Wilson said to get Kerensky out instead of the royal family...
@CommieThreat and before you say, I contradicted myself, I did not I did say Lenin gave the order, but I said after he allowed them to apply for visas in Britain, the US, Greece, as well as other countries... he gave the order during the civil war when Czech forces were heading toward the area, the Czechs actually had no idea the royal family was there, they just happened to be going in that direction
@joyann1 Read "The Fate of the Romanovs" by Wilson and King. It's impossible to prove whether or not Lenin did give the order, but the most likely conclusion is that Lenin didn't, as of the most recent credible study. He basically said "standby" to the Ural Soviet. The Ural Soviet sent Lenin a telegram saying they wished to execute the family. With one thing and another, before Lenin had the chance to reply, the Ural Soviet executed the family anyway
@diverdown48 Well actually. The British Government had originally offered the Imperial Family asylum. Then George V retracted the offer because he was worried their asylum in Britain might fuel revolutionary spirit, the coward. If he hadn't, the Romanovs would have been evacuated and lived. However I expect the British Government would have taken them, given they evacuated some of Romanov cousins on the HMS Marlborough, I think it was
@CommieThreat All these standard explanations (quite reasonable only at first sight) are much more harmful to the others, than even total ignorance, which means knowing nothing. Romanovs were sentenced to death from the very beginning of the "negative" revolution scenario materialization. There was no such possibility that they would be freed by bolsheviks or saved by some external power (certainly not by England - which did its best to destablilize Russia (sponsoring its radicals etc.).
@morphicID Right, by ideology they were condemned, also anybody who thinks I am not blaming the communists are wrong, I am--but if they really wanted them dead they could have killed them even before the October revolution, they tried to find an alternative before they killed them, but they did kill them, people are acting like I am defending the communists 100%...
@CommieThreat There is an opinion that communists were very dependent on some mighty European countries - and I don't believe that they could "decide" such serious decisions as to kill relatives of some European king or queen on their own. Their rank was too low - "access denied". Though it's somewhat alternative/unpopular historic conception. Because Europe is too kind too kill such noble people and happy philistines should read happy history books or better not history but J. K. Rowling. ^_^
@CommieThreat Royals were often hated and unpopular. Maybe because they had food, fun and festivities, when their people are dying and starving and the royals party till daylight.
@gammypetra63 I often hear this claim that under the Tsar, the common people starved to death while the aristocrats had parties. This simply isn't true. The agricultural output grew faster than the population. So there was more than enough food in the country to feed everyone. And it did. That is why between 1880's and 1913 mortality rates fell dramatically. If there was mass starvation, wouldn't the opposite happen?
@CommieThreatat that time the decision of such act could come only from highest authority - Lenin at that time, he burns in hell in a hottest chamber for this
Although knowing this happened fills me with sorrow. I can take just a little bit of pride knowing that my country, Australia, and that of my family at the time, Britain, fought in the Russian Civil War, trying to get rid of the Bolsheviks and save the Romanovs. Our brave boys fought well, two Australian soldiers were awarded the Victoria Cross. But still shame on King George V for withdrawing his asylum offer, I hope that burdened his conscience for the rest of his life
@musicdork4ever The Tsar didn't give up the throne till the February Revolution, before which he'd exercised near autocratic power. Parliament (or Duma) was not a true representation of Russia and he could dissolve it. When the Provisional Government fell to the Bolsheviks (October Revolution). He was no longer Emperor when he was imprisoned by Bolsheviks. They were just so mad and immoral they killed him, his family and thousands of others Russians anyway
@musicdork4ever They could have exiled them, and should have done. The plan was originally to exile the family and then put the Tsar on trial, after which he, but only he, would have almost certainly been executed. But unfortunately the injudicious morons felt worried the Czech Whites would rescue them so they killed them. Tragedy brought about by great evil
@salvyy tell me: is the UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND A NOT FREE NATION? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL , and if you see my other writings you will see i am not a radical monarchist, any way, you have the right to think that fuck they ( not what i thing) but not to deserve the death of a whole family¡¡¡¡
@breizhcatalonia1993 Kid, I despise the English royal family a lot and I find the millions of people who still adore them a bunch of ignorant idiots. I can't believe in 2011 there're still millions of stupid fucks who are happy having royal families, despite the fact that they caused so many deaths and destruction against their own people to wage wars and become even richer. Anyway, the English royal fam. doesn't have any political power now; they're just a symbol for England, but a joke for me
What are the three movies that you got these clips from? I know one is Nicholas and Alexandra and one is The Romonovs: An Imperial Family, but it looked like there was a third that I did not recognize.
@megstarbright There are four movies: 0:01 "The Romanovs:An Imperial Family" (2000), 0:15 "The Lost Prince" (2003), 0:24 "Nicholas and Alexandara" (1971) and 0:41 "Assassin of the Tsar" (1991).
Two wrong didn't make a right. The Russian people were rightfully angry at the Tsar and his family, but to kill their and their children's that not right,
I'm not a vindictive person, I love peace and am against the death penalty. But I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that Lenin died in what, I hope, was a lot more pain than the poor Romanovs. I'm glad that Trotsky (who didn't authorise this atrocity, but did others) suffered as well. I only hope the inbreds who did the actual shooting suffered agonising deaths too
What actually happened was they were shot with rifles, Nicholas died instantly but after the guy announced that they were going to die. The daughter were about to cross themselves but were gunned down. Anastasia was the last to go she was shot but still alive and she was stabbed to death by a bayonet.
@Dapplepool1 The man holding that isn't Lenin, it was the head executioner Yakov Yurovsky. He was holding a bag that belonged to Alexei. He thought there could be something valuable in it but it only contained Stones and Shelves. I think it represents Alexei's innocence.
Nicholas after learning from the catstrophe of the Russo-Japanese War of 1905, was the leading voice trying to avert the oncoming calamity of World War I. All the smart people thought war would lead to wonderful things. It was never the great war, it was a horrendously stupid, cost ly war which cost millions of innocent lives and accomplished nothing good. And another thing that people forget, just as they did at Pearl Harbor the Japanese attacked Port Arthur without a declaration of War.
in a way its ashame that queen victoria didnt send anyone to retrieve her granddaughter *i believe* and the children but then again she may have tried but they were too late :( may their souls rest for they didnt deserve this.
I think absolutely nothing can justify murdering someone period. If you murder someone you are condemned. And another thing. Salvy... Who would you rather have as a leader? The tsar Nicholas and his family who did what they thought was right. Or that vile person who killed more Jews compared to the solders that Nicholas sent to battle? Aka Stalin. If It were me I would choose the tsar over communisim. There is no way communism can last for more than 2 centuries where as a monarchy can last for
Man! what can i say? Ive always felt sorry for the kids of nicholas an alexandria! The thing is I can undrstand that both side thaught they were doing the right thing! But nothing and I mean NOTHING justifies the murder of innocent children! Especiallly the way they were killed! Also salvy I think that there could have been better way to have done things! And I feel sorry for u that u have an only one minded way of thinking! And that is all out violence!
To the stupid ignorant fucks who criticize the comrades for killing them: FUCK YOU! You cannot even imagine how many deaths this horrendous, incompetent, corrupt Royal family caused. Because of them, millions of Russians perished during WWI. I am sorry for the kids, but they deserved to die. Fuck all the royal families of the world. Power to the people.
shame on you, dog. Coward, wanna-be, sub-human ingnorance you display. The kids deserved to die, you write? And you--who are you but a hate-filled loser? Why makes YOU worthy of life? Shame.
Oh no, another stupid ignorant fuck....this time from the US. I said I am sorry for the kids who were shot. I think that was the only solution to end the dynasty that ruled Russia for over 300 years. 300 years of oppression. Do you know what that mean, you ignorant American stupid fuck? I am happy that justice and the people of Russia prevailed in the end. I see you know a little Italian...I'll tell you this in Italian, then: suicidati, ignorante del cazzo.
@salvyy WWI was unpreventable. They had to defend their country from the germans. Even if the communist would have reigned during WWI millions would have died. Power to the people you say? Lenin took power in the voice of the people and what happened with communism?? 10 times as many people died. Learn before you use your self-educated Communist propaganda. BTW: How would you feel if your innocent children died during a war? would you also say i felt sorry for them but they deserved it?
Go back to school and study Russian history a little bit before you have a conversation with someone. Do you know about Rasputin? Do you know that millions of Russians were sent to fight the Germans with no clothes and weapons by the stupid royal family? Do you know that the Romanovs made the ppl of Russia starve before the revolution and killed them when they protested peacefully in the streets? I thank God they were shot. They deserved to die. Only sorry for the kids. I am not a communist.
Of course they killed protesters, its what they had to do! the same thing happened in Egypt. To keep the power you have to fight anyone who wants to overthrown you. Rasputin was a private affair, he was only good for propaganda against the royal family. It's true that 1/5 man didn't had a weapon, it was a huge miss calculation. I in fact studied Russian History, and i can tell you both Imperial russia and the soviet union in the 20th century were no good.
@salvyy yknow the STUPID ROYAL family isnt only ones who let their ppl suffer what about england only nobility reigned strong as same goes for for china w/royal dynasties and going back even FARTHER when kingships firsat began EVERYWHERE had the common folk suffer its in history and it STILL continues till this day so you cant bash only ONE royal family when dozens of other royal families did it before them.
My friend, I agree with you 100%. I hate all the royal families and all the dictators of the world. I love freedom and I want all the people of the world to be free. I am so glad the people of the Arab world are now destroying dictators there. Freedom is the sweetest, most wonderful thing in the life of a human being. Fuck all the royal families of the world and all the dictators: they deserve to be shot in the head without mercy.
@joyann1 world war 1 was avoidable. austria should have given full independence to serbia and other countries. ditto england, france, germany, holland, italy etc. no country is entitled to annex another.
@salvyy i agree to the power to the people, but the rest, what happened was terrible, yes the later romanovs where terrible rulers but they could just exile their asses of to alaska and no one would give a shit, better that than execution. yes, a lot of peeps died in ww1 but stalins purges, SA and ww2 caused many more deaths than the royal family. such a shame they died...
Hi, the Russian revolution that Lenin envisioned did not take into consideration the coming to power of a beast like Stalin. Lenin didn't want Russia to be in the hands of Stalin. Lenin's revolution was good: unfortunately, Stalin emerged in a very unpredictable manner using violence and he destroyed Lenin's good ideas. Stalin+Hitler+dictators+Royal families = same shit. People MUST be free and independent.
The Romanovs were considered GERMANS, working for the GERMANS. The tzarine's herself was GERMAN, her brother was a promiment member of the Second GERMAN empire. And GERMANS were always the cause of russian problems. Tzars were always maried to GERMAN princesses since russian nobility was not internationaly apropiate. BTW even the british kings have more GERMAN blood than English . They even ad to change their last name LOL!!!
They killed the whole family because NO ONE could be left alive to assemble de contrarevolutionary army supported by germans. It doesn't mater if they were evil or inocent. Don't forget that it was not a democracy, it was a DYNASTIC regime meaning that the next one in the line to the throne rules. Undestood? Nothing to do wit Obama or Bush families from democratic countries. (Kenedy was killed but not Jackie for example) And it was not only because bad economy...take a look at your history books
@gebhartma that was the chance of russia. and it was a chance it should have took. germany exiled it's kaiser. austria dissolved the hapsburg dynasty.
The saintly Romanovs, who were killed by jews. Soon the whole country of Christian Russia would follow their fate and millions upon millions would die in the jewish conceived gulags. When will the world learn not to fall for their murderous snares?
@MrBorisbadanoff What you mean to say is that they were of orthodox christian background, I hope you're not as mad as to mean they were actually christian believers. Lenin was not an ethnical jew, but the country was run by them, as in the case of America today. I suggest you read the pamphlet "Behind Communism" by Frank Britton, freely available on the intenet, or visit the site of Brother Nathanael Kapner, for an alternative opinion to the one they fed you at school or by the jewish media.
Lenin = Jew has killed 14 million Russians, Stalin = Jew who killed 45 million Russians, Trotsky's and Bukharin's,Grigory Zinoviev,Lev Kamenev Russian leadership was composed of HebrewJewish Communists in Eastern Europe have managed to kill several hundreds of millions of innocent people
@2012Romania The saintly Romanovs, who were killed by jews. Soon the whole country of Christian Russia would follow their fate and millions upon millions would die in the jewish conceived gulags. When will the world learn not to fall for their murderous snares?

It was prob hard for him. he wasnt a natral born ruler. But I pray that thare in heaven. If thay did do something wrong God will juge them for it. But I still think thay shouldn't have been killed. and look for a way to bring them home.
Who knows maybe that woman Anna Anderson was a clone created by the real Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov herself playing one of her jokes on us/
bradhig 3 months ago
She purged most of the hate out of me. What most people complain or hate doesn't bother me. I someone's see a black and white hazy outline of Anastasia around me. What does she want? Well she and anyone else that got saved want to come home from wherever they got stuck. Wouldn't you believe if Russia invented time travel that they would immediately race back to 1918 and try to save them? My purpose as I believe is to find a way to bring them home or encourage others to never give up hope
bradhig 3 months ago
I believe that in other life I was one of those awful guards who was assigned to kill Anastasia but didn't because of the jewels in her corset. The last moments of that awful night were one of my first memories. I swear I saw at least three other people in the cellar who were not Bolsheviks or Romanov's. I believe them to be time travelers who saved the children . For some reason I also believe it was Anastasia who brought me back knowing I didn't kill her or didn't try to kill her

Oh yes! The execution of a despot and his family is so heart-breaking when the Czar had ordered the deaths of over 10 million young Russians in the pointless 'Great War'.
I admit shooting the entire family was overkill (forgive the pun) and they were executed horrifically but Nicholas II had it coming.
rcarass1 4 months ago

Lenin actually wanted to save the Romanov's but no country would give them amnesty--he didn't want to be remembered as a royal killer, though he killed many people--he tried to get them amnesty in England, the US, and many many countries, but nobody wanted to take them because of their unpopularity

@CommieThreat Thats pure bollocks. Allot of people are convinced that lenin was the one who gave the order for their execution.

CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat So yes, I am blaming Lenin for their death as well, but it was never his intention, he didn't want to do it.
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat Recent historical evidence (see The Fate of the Romanovs) suggests that Lenin didn't give the order. He just kept them holed up in Ipatiev House, and wanted ultimately to make Nicholas II stand trial and exile his family. But with the Czechs advancing and the Urals Soviet so bloodthirsty, the Urals Soviet decided to kill them, without getting confirmation from Le
Even if Lenin didn't give the order, he and Trotsky were responsible for countless deaths of innocent children/women
trixwiz7 9 months ago
@joyann1
recent study showed that Lenin didn't give order (and he was hesitating as what to do with Romanovs), killing them was done by local Bolsheviks' initiative because of post service delay, they thought Lenin would give such an order anyway, the time came and they receieved no order, so they took the initiative
alexgrinkov 5 months ago
@CommieThreat That is absurd to think no other country would take them. The european monarchs were all related in some manner. Britian would have taken them for sure. The US would have for sure. This is the first time in my study of History have I ever heard such nonsense. If you like Lenin, fine, but don't make up bullcrap.
diverdown48 9 months ago
@diverdown48 They were all related, but Wilson believed them to be autocrats and he denied their visa to the US, also the UK wouldn't take them because of their reputation after the Great War... I never said I liked Lenin I am just stating history, ask any Russian historian they will tell you that their visas to Britain and the US were denied... also to Greece where the sitting monarch was another cousin of Nicolas
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@diverdown48 Also think about this: the true recognition of the Russian government by the United States was given to Alexander Kerensky, they gave him a visa immediately... and Wilhelm was also a cousin of the imperial family, Nicolas was hoping that their tie would prevent war, but it didn't
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat Of course their tie wouldn't prevent, they were two countries at war. You say Lenin didn't give the order, that isn't true. People speculate but we don't know the truth.
joyann1 9 months ago
@joyann1 I said Lenin did give the order...
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat but I said Lenin tried to get them visas before he gave the order, after Glasnost and Gorbachev, you could go to the archives and see the visa denials from the US and the UK, unfortunately Putin reclosed the archives since then...
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat The day after the revolution every single country in the allied forces wanted to give Alexander Kerensky a visa because they recognized him as the leader of Russia, not the imperial family, they didn't recognize the imperial family because of what they perceived as archaic and poor rule... I am not saying I agree with that, I am just using what Woodrow Wilson said to get Kerensky out instead of the royal family...
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@CommieThreat and before you say, I contradicted myself, I did not I did say Lenin gave the order, but I said after he allowed them to apply for visas in Britain, the US, Greece, as well as other countries... he gave the order during the civil war when Czech forces were heading toward the area, the Czechs actually had no idea the royal family was there, they just happened to be going in that direction
CommieThreat 9 months ago
@joyann1 Read "The Fate of the Romanovs" by Wilson and King. It's impossible to prove whether or not Lenin did give the order, but the most likely conclusion is that Lenin didn't, as of the most recent credible study. He basically said "standby" to the Ural Soviet. The Ural Soviet sent Lenin a telegram saying they wished to execute the family. With one thing and another, before Lenin had the chance to reply, the Ural Soviet executed the family anyway
Still Lenin had other women/children killed
trixwiz7 9 months ago
@diverdown48 Well actually. The British Government had originally offered the Imperial Family asylum. Then George V retracted the offer because he was worried their asylum in Britain might fuel revolutionary spirit, the coward. If he hadn't, the Romanovs would have been evacuated and lived. However I expect the British Government would have taken them, given they evacuated some of Romanov cousins on the HMS Marlborough, I think it was
trixwiz7 9 months ago
@CommieThreat All these standard explanations (quite reasonable only at first sight) are much more harmful to the others, than even total ignorance, which means knowing nothing. Romanovs were sentenced to death from the very beginning of the "negative" revolution scenario materialization. There was no such possibility that they would be freed by bolsheviks or saved by some external power (certainly not by England - which did its best to destablilize Russia (sponsoring its radicals etc.).
morphicID 8 months ago
@morphicID Right, by ideology they were condemned, also anybody who thinks I am not blaming the communists are wrong, I am--but if they really wanted them dead they could have killed them even before the October revolution, they tried to find an alternative before they killed them, but they did kill them, people are acting like I am defending the communists 100%...
CommieThreat 8 months ago
@CommieThreat There is an opinion that communists were very dependent on some mighty European countries - and I don't believe that they could "decide" such serious decisions as to kill relatives of some European king or queen on their own. Their rank was too low - "access denied". Though it's somewhat alternative/unpopular historic conception. Because Europe is too kind too kill such noble people and happy philistines should read happy history books or better not history but J. K. Rowling. ^_^
morphicID 8 months ago
@CommieThreat Royals were often hated and unpopular. Maybe because they had food, fun and festivities, when their people are dying and starving and the royals party till daylight.
gammypetra63 8 months ago in playlist the romanovs
@gammypetra63 Well this is true, but we aren't even talking about whether or not people hated or loved monarchs... this is a whole other conversation
CommieThreat 8 months ago
@gammypetra63 I often hear this claim that under the Tsar, the common people starved to death while the aristocrats had parties. This simply isn't true. The agricultural output grew faster than the population. So there was more than enough food in the country to feed everyone. And it did. That is why between 1880's and 1913 mortality rates fell dramatically. If there was mass starvation, wouldn't the opposite happen?

But still shame on King George V for withdrawing his asylum offer, I hope that burdened his conscience for the rest of his life

musicdork4ever 10 months ago
@musicdork4ever The Tsar didn't give up the throne till the February Revolution, before which he'd exercised near autocratic power. Parliament (or Duma) was not a true representation of Russia and he could dissolve it. When the Provisional Government fell to the Bolsheviks (October Revolution). He was no longer Emperor when he was imprisoned by Bolsheviks. They were just so mad and immoral they killed him, his family and thousands of others Russians anyway
trixwiz7 10 months ago
@trixwiz7 oh I see. well, couldn't they just have kicked them out of Russia instead of murdering them? :(
musicdork4ever 10 months ago
@musicdork4ever They could have exiled them, and should have done.

Rasputin was a private affair, he was only good for propaganda against the royal family. It's true that 1/5 man didn't had a weapon, it was a huge miss calculation. I in fact studied Russian History, and i can tell you both Imperial russia and the soviet union in the 20th century were no good.

There wasn't a huge food shortage before WWI, the food shortage during WWI was what caused the revolution.

The saintly Romanovs, who were killed by jews. Soon the whole country of Christian Russia would follow their fate and millions upon millions would die in the jewish conceived gulags. When will the world learn not to fall for their murderous snares?

@thegreatfearblog lenin was a russian orthodox christian. stalin was a georgian orthodox christian. keep your anti-semitism to yourself
MrBorisbadanoff 11 months ago
@MrBorisbadanoff What you mean to say is that they were of orthodox christian background, I hope you're not as mad as to mean they were actually christian believers. Lenin was not an ethnical jew, but the country was run by them, as in the case of America today. I suggest you read the pamphlet "Behind Communism" by Frank Britton, freely available on the intenet, or visit the site of Brother Nathanael Kapner, for an alternative opinion to the one they fed you at school or by the jewish media.
