hi mate,,ive just bought a new diablo pro,but...i cant work out how to fit the arm brace?..its too loose one way,and the other end wont fit cause of two lugs sticking out...please can you help,,ive thrown it accross the room already!!...cheers,and all the best..wayne.
@uksniper1 to be honest the pro-diablos are total crap-the arm braces on all the ones ive seen are loose as you say and as they only fit one way theres nothing u can do-barnet products are made for cheapness and dont live up to the famous barnet name anymore-the sight and the stabiliser bars are pointless-i gave mine away after a week and opted for a 'gamekeeper catapult' theyre twice as powerful as pro diablos and put out 250fps and fit nicely in the pocket for concealment-regards john
hi john, thanks for the reply mate, yeah they dont look as sturdy as they used to be your right, ill give it a couple a weeks and if its no use ill look into summat else,as im using it for pest controll on our farm.
lol,,i had a modded crossman ratty(build vid of it on my channel) a few weeks ago but sold it when all the rats seem to have been taken care of,but...yep they back again! lol,but the pellets did ricochet a bit,so i thought that a slingshot with soft ammo(clay, plastercine etc) would still hit hard but splat on walls instead of making me leg it when a miss happens lol,as i have to hunt in our old barns and sheds.
@vaughan4082 yes thats a good question since i made this vid i have given away the pro-diablo as it was way to big to carry and conceal so i never got around to trying a normal feathered arrow with it - but i guess it should fit through or you could always attatch a wider tube or plain old loop to the forks - john
@we66y357 cool thanks what do you think tho? its a nice sling in my opinion anyway its fairly accurate and very powerful :) i like your slingbow design other people have but keyrings with elastic bands between the forks and stuff but yours seems quite sturdy how did you rate it as a slingbow im not too bothered with hiding it.i just want to use it for hunting
@vaughan4082 the tube design is fixed with plastic cable ties so real sturdy it can also be used as a standard slingshot without removing the tube so fairly compatible whereas a ring attachment would limit its use as a slingshot due to the fork gap being obstructed by the ring-barnet are ok and the diablo gives awesome power(although chrony readings prove theraband gold is more powerful)so its personal choice yet again-as a slingbow with correct size arrow it would be a true hunter always-john
I have a Barnett Pro Diablo with Cobra bands and screwed on a whisker biscuit on the front between the weights. Uses 31-40 inch arrows. Flattend each ends of a triangle caribiner , one end for a release and the end that's in the pouch notches the arrow. It flies pretty straight. Know you could use the sight that came with the Pro Diablo for arrows lol
@maxinpains this was just for fun - i own many rifles as i also own 10 acres of woodland with plenty to hunt - although i sometimes prefer the catapult - my son is the owner and founder of 'gamekeeper catapults' uk so no need for a bow lol as i find them too bulky to carry around - plus i have a vintage bow that is worth a fortune it was a hand me down and believed to be victorian - cheers for comment - happy shooting
@we66y357 Ah! you love those very loud rifles...If you like that way i guess you like to go that way. I personally loves Compound bows,m8. They are greatest. it's not bulky instead i found rifles are too heavy & much money & troubles comes along with to just keep shooting . I don't know ! I love making precise rifles & flying falcons & shooting compound bows.Yes, I do shoot catapult for finding food for my birds. I do own properties in U.K & U.S. my aunt has big lands in Australia.Goodluck
@maxinpains what bow would you suggest for a beginner ? if i were to get one id have to have a light compact bow - any ideas as to what i would need to start me off - i mainly shoot rabbits
A Very good question.I'd say 1st- Mattews Bow. Then,2nd- the Hoyt. Get Mattews-Z7..If you have enough money. If you don't have it then go for Mattew XT. They are Superv Bows in all aspects. They wont Betray you whatsoever. Some kids loves for the Speed. but Speed = Loud. That's you wanna avoid to have it of fields. I still able to shoot 250 -300 yards bullseye. I hope my eyes are still good 'till next seasons. If you wanna be a man get license & tag then go for it.Get your meat.
@maxinpains thanks for reply ill be looking into it real soon 250-300 yards is a great distance for a bow sounds awesome - ill let you know in the near future how i get on - regards john
@we66y357 yeah. you gatta get "string sight" though.. otherwise it will be difficult. make sure calibrate it good befor you release the arrow. Do it on calm wind day or Zero wind. Good Luck
@we66y357 "String sight" go web site You can make that by yourself but it's good price. help the kid out. I've seen this when longago An Japanese guy who put Zip ties.He is the origin. to Shoot a Rabbit, you want to have practice arrows. It's has a smaller head. So,after you shot you'll have a small opening for fur. Make sure you'll skin it&exmaine the innards. If it's bad then it's sick.Just get hides. Do not waste any animals you shoot. If so Don't do IT.
@jake1995ke only problem with crossbow bolts jake is theyre to short to shoot in a catapult-i would have to shorten the elastic then i would lose the power-ive since got some arrows and it shoots great-good idea though cheers for comment
Accuracy at range will be severely limited without fletching on the arrows, nice video but I think I'll go with the whisker biscuit or something similar.
