  • Thanks for this comparison. Very helpful. My Chimei 22 inch just died, and I have been looking at 27 inch monitors as a replacement. Cheers

  • THANKS FOR THIS!!!

  • This is a FANTASTIC monitor. I love it a lot. Big, Hi Def, and stylish.

  • This is just what I need. Thanks heaps for the upload!

  • No worries guys, I felt the exact same way until I bit the bullet and bought it for myself. I personally would recommend LED 27" now, as they are sub $400 now

  • @thebozo1 Now 2 months later ASUS has 27" LED's for $299!!

  • @Towlieee a year**

  • @thebozo1 This is now on sale at NewEgg for $199.99 with rebate, sweet! I think I'll get one!

From my experience you don't want something bigger than 27" on your desk, just because of the distance you are from it. Yes it can be too big, that's what she said!

  • @jackburton2009 and now they are sold out, I was lucky enough to get one.

  • @97markviii A sale like that is too good to pass up, I got one too, with the extended warranty which was discounted as well, but has since gone back up.

From my experience LCDs die between 3-4 years, right after the normal warranty is up, so Newegg's extended warranty offer for 2 more years after the manufacturer's is a good investment.

It went out of stock fast. They have more in stock now but only with the rebate not the additional $70 off which is still competitive but not the best deal.

  • Haha, YES! I cannot WAIT for my 27 inch monitor to come in... so excited! it's so big and awesome. :) Thanks for the video, man.

  • Thanks for making this vid man , helped me make my choice

  • Thankyou for posting this video,I have a 27 inch in the post to go alongside my current 22 inch and your video has eased my mind quite a bit.Cheers m8

  • Thx for the upload, helps me know what I am getting myself into

  • thanks for the video this really helps in the comparison the 27" looks almost 1/3rd bigger

  • should i take 27" or 24" ?

  • 27 inch looks a fuckload bigger! i have 22 inch HD monitor that i bought for £60

  • Thanks for the comparison thebozo1, I'm buying a PS3 and wanted to upgrade my 22" for a 27" and run DVI and HDMI so my PC and PS3 could be hooked up.

  • I bought my Samsung 226bw for 400 dollars when it first arrived. I thought it was so huge. Now I see that ASUS has released a 27 inch LED monitor with super reviews for only 350. I'd say TFT 22 and below are out the door.

FOLKS! You won't be disappointed in what you get today that is much larger and less expensive than what we used to pay. Because IPS monitors are out, we can now afford regular LED screens that are a huge deal bigger and even faster and vivid than regular LCDs. Go for it!

  • I've been searching the net 4 a comparison just like this myself...thanks

  • hey! thanks for the comparison video! i was thinking how much bigger it was

    how are you finding the monitor? i'm thinking of buying it on Tuesday but there isn't much information around );

  • @lillichan09

Heyy, its sick! Like its such an upgrade from the 22inch! The size, the visuals, the response time (Though I can't really tell the diff from a 5ms and 2ms monitor). I've also played Tekken 6 and SSF4 via PS3 and the just look Stunning!!!

The only downside is I bought this monitor knowing it had RCA inputs, but they aren't AV, they are actually RGB, so I couldn't hook up my gamecube to play the old RE classics :(

Elsewise, its a totally awesome monitor!

  • @thebozo1

aww thanks for replying so quick!

i ended up buying it today, am absolutely in love with it

i promised myself i would look around at all the other monitors, but as soon as i saw this one, i knew i had to get it :D

i think i'm still in shock because i just upgraded from at 15" laptop lol

i'm using it as an extra monitor for now, as i'm waiting for JW Computers to build my tower

a shame that there isn't much info online about this,

so thanks for the vid ^^

  • @thebozo1 rgb is standard connector for gamecube. and very cheap to buy

  • @cspj12 Are you sure??? I'm pretty sure AV is the Standard for gamecube (Yellow, Red and White RCA cables) not RGB (Red, Green and Blue).

I know you can buy a SCART cable, then get an addition converter to convert from SCART to RGB, but thats just too much of a hassle :P

  • @cubanoteusa

Heyy cuban, I purchased it from MSY Technology, for around $439 AUD. Price has come down since and can now be purchased for approx $419 AUD.
