"The audience laughted at them"? How could anyone laugh at two young skaters? That was very cruel and uncivilized! German audience should be shamed of their rudeness.

Yes, it was a very unsportsmanlike action. But they received a warm response from many. Skaters get 'uppity' sometimes! best wishes

I just saw Bin on the Olympics and learned that he was embarrassed about their 1980 showing. I saw a clip or two from the championship and saw them fall... I thought it was hilarious. Now that I know the full story, I am impressed with what they did with 4 months preparation, and what they did took guts. Good for him.  I would still like to see their full '80 performance though.
