I once wiped out in the rain.... when i fell the first thing wasnt oh no am i all right?! in stead it was "OH SHIT im stalling the traffic get on QUICKLY QUICKLY!!"
Last winter i crashed like eleven times, the roads were icy because the salt recources were depleted -_- even no salt in the supermarket so io had an egg without salt :(
@Nekohellboy15 you made your comment 4 months ago, and I was pointing out that, at the time, you we're a fucking bitch, that can't listen for shit. Maybe you've learned it during the 4 months, bitch, either way I don't fucking care.
one of the best videos are always when ure giving good advice aslong as any video has that then i think it will gain views alot faster.
i lowsided at a roundabout cos it was wet and i was on a enduro bike which means i had offroad tyres and ever since then ive been a lot more cautious in the bends but i still try to stay as relaxed as possible
Just want to say that I subscribe to about 150 differant channels, and god damn it your one is the best, I could unsubscribe them all others, just for as long as I've got you subscribed :D:D
Crashed my dad's bike last year... so I've been wanting to ask you to make this vid but I guess someone else beat me to it. Anyways, thanks for making this vid, really informative ;)
And I think it's interesting that you have ADD bcoz you notice things that we wouldn't normally notice like that biker with his gf and you point it out. It's cool ;)
Everybody should look up to Sven , after he low sided, fell off the bike, bike sliding along the ground, he just stood up and checked if the camera was still rolling ....
i had a crash on the 5th january 2009 i hit the back of a ford transit that had park on the crest of a blind left hand bend i broke my left wrist came out through the skin my right fore arm snapped in 2 places my left thigh broke and my right shin in 3 places over all 534 stiches, one bike of the road and one cunt locked up in jail ( he was on a double yellow, so he got a attemted manslaughter charge) but ive started form the bottom gping out to get a aprillia rs 125 next week
Well when i had my crash on a 15 y/o GPZ500, i got my current SV650s a week after, from a old, fdodgy bike, to a hyper sensitive one, in the dark, and damp, wasn't completely "omfgsh*tsh*t", but it was strange and i was being a granny for the first few weeks.
I hit a Jeep at the end of a blind corner, in the middle of my lane, i couldn't avoid it, swiped the side of the jeep, flew off, and wrote the bike off. the corner is on my trip to work, done 6 times a week, my crash made me an aware rider.
Only Took Me One Sunny Day To Think "hmmm.... i miss my bike" so i got it out but i was really "girly" on the front brake as i fell off by pulling in my front brake to hard in the rain....
AND, england hasnt rained for days ;) been really sunny... cold but sunny
no england is more narrow and packed ,is a case of start stop left right start stop then 2mph up a hill in traffic jam and 2mph down it and the good times are spoiled by chavs driving close next to you wanting a race with there 1980s nissan micra with only 2 gears that work ,1st and reverse that they just nicked from a scrap yard
but yeah can accidentally think that your riding the bike when in fact the bike is quite capable of riding itself and dosnt need you! so needs to be tamed like a horse, if you fall off just means next time be gental and show abit more love and it will return that :) what goes around comes around
This is true I remember when took my basic riders course in the past . I was completing the figure eight part of the course I was scared I tensed up released the clutch and the bike jerked hard.
I didn't fall and it was a straight up U-Turn (meaning no lean envolved)
if you tense up more then likely you bite the concerte
When I high sided my bike going around a corner I landed on my knees and slid on my stomach with the bike sliding behind me. Picked it up and drove it home with a bunch of broken stuff. I think having a crash is a good thing it teachs you to respect the bike, hopefully yor not going very fast tho!
I'm in england. It's not all bad. I don't ride yet, but theres a lot of open road in the midlands and the summer times are very hot. I intend to ride a bike in the next year or so. Great vids dude. :) - Any more start vids would be appreciated. :)
I crash some times and one time i brooke 1 rib and one was ...i dont know the word lets say almost brooken:)after healing up i jump back on the bike on the same course:)so....try to push yourself
I kinda doubt that the arms of the Moto-GP racers are relaxed, since at least the Ducatis kick like hell in almost every situation. I wouldn't let the handlebar go then :D
But i know what you mean, usually it's always better to ride smooth.
Hey Mordeth(MG13), I wonder if somebody was inquisitive enough in Taiwan to ask if there is something wrong with you, when you are waving your hands(and making a movie) while driving your bike. Hahaha, just a thought. Regards from CANADA, EH>???
If anyone knows about crashes you do. How did you live this long? I'm 60 and never laid my bike down. You really hate it when someone beats you out.or is faster than you don't you? You will change believe me.
You got me wrong. I don't "hate" it. I like it. It gives me someone to focus on and something fun to do. It just happens to rarely. I once rode for 12 hours straight without being passed once.....now that was boring.
ive own my cbr for a year now and fell down twice so far, botf were at 0 mph. Once cuz i forgot to put my kick stand down(2 weeks after purchase) and the second one i was at a gas station and my "baggy" pants got caught on the foot peg when i was tryin to stop and lost balance and fell to my left side hard, it broke my frame slider off and bent by cluth lever that i bent back into place. Nothing too bad hopefully it stops there, we all know i probaly wont :(.. RIDE SAFE PEEPS!!
I feel like two things made me a completely new rider in regards to skill and confidence before and after crashing.
1. A Twist of the Wrist 2
2. Parking lot practice
Then learn from mistakes. Parking lot practice helps so much. You can focus on your position, throttle control, lean angle, confidence, staying relaxed, countersteering etc.
as I was saying, I remember how embaresed I was when I decided to park on a steep hill, thinking the mere kickstand would keep it from sliding. About a block of chasing the bike down the hill later, I felt like I should have practiced using the emergency brake before attempting that.
loving your self described riding habits, not everyone would be able to ride in your environment there, so many variables and obstacles all at once. i would ride the same way, when i see traffic threats or potential problems on the road dont you want to just accelerate out of there, or immediatly put yourself in a better position! some people just wait.. and brake.. and wait..brake.. scary!
Is M13 going to overtake the manly man on the big bike with his girlfriend on the back, or is he just going to make more weird gestures?! Stay tuned for more!
To us he is m13, but to the by standers, he's a crazy fucking lunatic that talks to himself in a foreign language, constantly attempting to cast spells as seen at 3:26 , 4:13
grt vid mr 13. I can relate to my arms tessing up around corners after the first time i fell off but i recovered alot quicker after the 2nd and 3rd times (both ice grrr)
england is like spain in the summer its sunny and hot but the winter's are long and grey your right there. . and mg stands for MASSIVE GIRTH . . i dno
lol good joke , england is like spain xD seriusly its not even close. england in summer is like greenland. i know i lived here and lived all over europe.
wtf? you obviously havnt been to england for a few years then. ive lived here for over 19 years and the climate in the past 10 years has changed alot. its still snowing here for god sake and its mid february. last sumemr reached 36 degrees C. which is nearly 100 F.? do the math MR IVE LIVED ALL OVER EUROPE. if you ve lived all over europe then you obviously didnt have time to get to know the parts u "lived" in. sure it wasnt a long holiday? retard
oh im sorry i didnt realised you were apart of this conversation? im not talkin to mordeth if thats what ur thinking i was talking to some retarded kid who said aparently he lived in england for 3 years and it rained for a whole year once. lmao what a retard,,,
It is like getting bucked off a horse, you have to get back on and ride again. I am alot more cautious this time around, starting with a 150cc and now have a 650cc.
Great vid series! I'm in a differnt boat, since my only incidences involving a car totalling my bikes twice. I wonder how that changes u in the head, I sure do drive more causiously now
@ya472 Rules of the road? lol. It is pretty simple, yet complicated. Respect other drivers, familiarize yourself with the bike's power, learn to check your mirrors, expect the worst from others, drive "fast" in roads that you know and have visibility. Don't kill anyone. Oh, don't try to copy m13's style, you ll crash.
fair play mate just had a look guess your in the wrong place at the wrong time.. we have some nice weather.. some times lol meh i would't trade England for any other place..
i think that after any vehicle crash, whatever happened will keep you nervous for a while. for example, i spun my car and almost flipped on a strait stretch of road right before a hill because some moron was on the wrong side. i didnt want to go over that hill for a couple months.
i have had my license for almost a year now, no crashes so far! i have dropped it once on the side tho..... and then only week later it fell on the other side......... luckily nothing serious happend! but i will have to pay for some minor repairs which sucks.... Can anyone tell me the name of those things you put on the side of your bike so that when it falls on the side only the thingies get damaged instead of the entire bike?
With regards to the 2 responding comments, The "fall bars" which theperfectlube is talking about protect both the bike and fairings.
"Crash protectors" as suggested by zombiekid16 are NOT for protecting the fairings, the sole purpose of the crash protectors is to keep the frame intact when you go down.
I suggest treating your bike as a smoking hot babe, wouldn't drop that now would you? ;)
I once wiped out in the rain.... when i fell the first thing wasnt oh no am i all right?! in stead it was "OH SHIT im stalling the traffic get on QUICKLY QUICKLY!!"

The biggest advice you can give, Mordeth goes like this:
You get up and on the bike the again, and you ride and ride again in exactly the same kind of situation, place and conditions when you fell.
There's no other way, you simply have to get on it again if you want to continue riding.

Indigozek 2 years ago
@Indigozek Good advice.
Also, along with parking lot practice, practice parking a lot.
You can be a comfortable rider but when it comes to stopping, it takes practice too.
And parking on hills and such, I remember how embarresed I was

wtf? you obviously havnt been to england for a few years then. ive lived here for over 19 years and the climate in the past 10 years has changed alot. its still snowing here for god sake and its mid february. last sumemr reached 36 degrees C. which is nearly 100 F.? do the math MR IVE LIVED ALL OVER EUROPE. if you ve lived all over europe then you obviously didnt have time to get to know the parts u "lived" in. sure it wasnt a long holiday? retard

I've fallen a few times riding. lol Only got hurt once. Separated my shoulder. that wasn't fun. haha

Does 13Mordeth have a video explaining the rules of the road ?
In nearly every video, he is passing everyone and weaving through traffic, and zooms through some intersections, but stops at others.
I am confused. lol lol
It looks like rat-racing most of the time, I think I want to move there and own a fast bike.
ya472 2 years ago
@ya472 Rules of the road? lol. It is pretty simple, yet complicated. Respect other drivers, familiarize yourself with the bike's power, learn to check your mirrors, expect the worst from others, drive "fast" in roads that you know and have visibility. Don't kill anyone. Oh, don't try to copy m13's style, you ll crash.

i think that after any vehicle crash, whatever happened will keep you nervous for a while. for example, i spun my car and almost flipped on a strait stretch of road right before a hill because some moron was on the wrong side. i didnt want to go over that hill for a couple months.

i have had my license for almost a year now, no crashes so far! i have dropped it once on the side tho..... and then only week later it fell on the other side......... luckily nothing serious happend! but i will have to pay for some minor repairs which sucks.... Can anyone tell me the name of those things you put on the side of your bike so that when it falls on the side only the thingies get damaged instead of the entire bike?
TheAlienmonkey 2 years ago
@TheAlienmonkey fall bars is what i think your asking for :)
theperfectlube 2 years ago
crash protectors i think mate, they screw to the side of the bike (:
zombiekid16 2 years ago
With regards to the 2 responding comments, The "fall bars" which theperfectlube is talking about protect both the bike and fairings.
"Crash protectors" as suggested by zombiekid16 are NOT for protecting the fairings, the sole purpose of the crash protectors is to keep the frame intact when you go down.
I suggest treating your bike as a smoking hot babe, wouldn't drop that now would you? ;)
