@nammie09 this guy really doesent know what hes talking about. I have worked at apple for 3 years now and ive had all of those cases. Considering i collect apple products and need to protect them. Commuter is definitely one of the best.
It really frustrates me when you watch reviews on youtube, and people aren't prepared in their own video. It's a video! You can study and practice the products before you start recording. Don't ramble!...And know how to edit your videos too so your short and sweet, and direct to the point. Take it as a constructive criticism.
Bought a Lifeproof, droped it in the snow 15 mins after installing it, now theres a hole in the membrane where the phone speaker is and water gets in.
If you had planned to review these cases, why didn't you charge your phone first? Or get the names and prices if the cases right? Or read the instructions for any of the cases you reviewed? Or learn to tell the difference between an iPod and an iPhone? Or learn anything, whatsoever, about the cases you reviewed, before you started recording your little video? You should not be reviewing anything.
Well the griffin case and lifeproof are way better then they otterbox cause they r both waterproof but if you need a good heavy duty case just get the otter box but I do think the griffin is cheap then the otter box and btw your prices r all wrong for what u can get them for
The LifeProof case is so awesome it's on a whole different level. Comparing any of those cases to the LifeProof case is like comparing any other phone to the iPhone....not even a fair comparison!
thanks for an informative vid. It took away a lot of guess works for me. btw, are you still using the lifeproof case at this time? Can I please get an update on this case. Thanks in advance
@cdecast82 I actually have never had any of my friends or family make a mention of that whenever they've called me with the Lifeproof on. If you're going to get the Otterbox, then for the love of God, get a different color besides white!!! The white attracts dirt and everything else profusely, and it's impossible to clean it and make it look new again. I hated that part about the Otterbox because my phone always looked dirty...Not a problem with the Lifeproof. All in all, I'd say the Lifeproof
@MagicDrumSticks Yes, the new Otterbox Defender case for the iPhone 4S lets dust and dirt into the case through the cutout. It doesn't lie flush with the iPhone itself. Poor design. Not cool. I already traded it for the Lifeproof case.
@G3folife I am stuck deciding between the Otterbox Defender and the Lifeproof case. Do you like the Lifeproof case better? I've researched and found that people get a muffled/echo effect on the other end when talking to someone on an Iphone 4s in a Lifeproof case. Did you ever experience this?
Hi there, well it's not going to well with the votes again and this time I can't save you. It's a little better but it still suffers from bad lighting, tripod or steady hand and preparation. Checkout this guys channel Thermoman69691 he's just got himself a blue defender for the 4s and it's simple but effective. Take care and just tune it up a little on the mentioned things and I think you will have it cracked:-)
The 1st case you demonstrated was done wrong, the silicone was supposed to go on the outside of the white plastic case, but still, like you said, its not going to protect your phone from scratches
did you know that, griffin survivor case cas notches to hold the camera flap, and every other little flap that comes open? so actually you wont get your finger in the shots. . .
Just got my lifeproof case, and it is hands down the best case I've ever had, not bulky, not ugly and 4 times better at protecting my 4s then any if those other cases! What's the point of having slimed technology if your going to wrap it in something bigger than the aide of an old car phone lmao! Lifeproof for life!!! Water resistant=fail, waterproof= win ;)
Thank you very much for this in-depth review. I have an iPhone 4. I have been a supporter of Otterbox since the 3GS Defender(Water-Resistance is IMPORTANT), but the new Defender for the iPhone 4 is Not Water-Resistance:(. I have been using the Lifeproof for about a month. After a few drops, I found a tear in the rubberish outer rim, I decided to remove the iPhone and test the waterproofing as recommended by lifeproof. AND, unfortunately it leaks:(( My verdict, Water=Lifeproof, Shock=Otter
Lifeproof is tough to put on and get off...This is not a case you want to use every so often...Once you go through the hassle of getting the case on you will not want to take it off...EVER...If you want to return this case get ready to pay for shipping both ways plus a 15% restocking charge...Worse yet, their customer service is nonexistent...I have been attempting to get a Return Authorization Number for days without success...HOLD should be the name of their customer service
@FREISme We have a very good no hassle return policy that does not include the %15 but is only reserved for specific circumstances. Our customer service took a huge hit the the mass of interest following the iPhone 4 release and this is our top concern. We have more than quadrupled our support staff but it will take a few more weeks to get our response times where we want them. -Dusty
@coolhalo333 well i only got mine on oct 14th (not summer), but i do not think so. my iphone really does not seem to get too hot & i played so many games on it...
hey I dont know if ur blind or somethin but there wut u have in ur hand is an iphone 4s fucken dumb ass is not an ipod why u jeep sayin my ipod ha oh and really u have to complain for a small thing ur such a brat
@tritan1 ya i already contacted lifeproof. they said that they will send one out & i have to send this one back (all shipping is free). thanks for the info!
@tritan1 yes i agree with this also (from time to time, the audio is a little off). but i complained to lifeproof about this already...hopefully they get back to me before my time limit is up to return the case...
@tritan1 ive actually just tried to make sure that all of the ports are not blocked by any of the things inside the case & my audio is really good now. siri, speakerphone, and regular phone all works really good...no more complaints about the audio for me.
@vigneshrk any recommendations you have personally? i just purchased my iphone and i didnt get insurance.. im hoping the case should be enough protection. What do you think the best bang for your buck case is, since youve seen them all in person and tested them?
@Jorosaline well, i dont plan on dropping my iphone from 20 feet like other youtube vids on here but for drops from my ear to the ground, this case will handle that. i take my iphone in the shower everyday & sometimes it drops off of the soap holder & stuff & its perfectly fine. if you need some heavy duty bombproof case, then id say go for those otterboxes or whatever, but theyre not water proof.
id say u prolly dont need insurance if u have this case & wanna save $ (i have apple care tho)
between cases, i do some mini-comparisons, so that may be helpful if you are trying to narrow your choice down between 2 or 3 different cases. look out for those in this video, too!
Lol @ the squishy and forever exposed xD. Great review man. I've been looking at the lifeproof and all I really wanted to know was if it stuck to the inside of the pocket because I carry my phone in my pocket like you. But I am really glad you pointed out some of the main things I haven't seen on other reviews like the front plastic, no docks, the air bubbles, and the camera usage.
