On paper it's definitely a tough fight for Pacquiao - I think what will end up happening is Bradley tasting Manny's power which will make isolating and cutting off the ring really hard for him.

Your assessment on Bradley's skill & potential game plan sounds convincing until we put things in perspective. Both fighters have a chance of getting caught. But TB is often sloppy w/ his footwork and aside from a duck doesn't have great defense that would be frustrating. And while executing the assumed offense, he'll undoubtedly absorb some neutralizing hard punches. Offense is the name of the game for both fighters. Lets hope TB doesn't lunge forward and knock heads. Should be a great fight.
Hey Dwyer, I believe it's a bad match up for Manny, not HORRIBLE. A prime Marquez is horrible for Manny. At least Bradley tries to mix it up, and when that happens, Manny usually lands his left, and lands hard. What Marquez did in the third fight was brilliant, he never tried to assert himself. Bradley's nature is to assert himself, so to me, Manny has a slightly better chance against Bradley.
Like Dwyer and a lot of guys are saying, I can't believe that Manny is taking this fight. Much props to Manny. If Timothy pressures Manny, he's gonna get tagged and run the entire night, Manny might outpoint him that way. Great analysis, I too am shocked that this fight is being made. Two factors that you touch upon that stand out are Bradley's foot speed & his defensive skill set. While PacMan is more exciting & offensive minded, Bradley has the youth, size, reflexes & skill set to win. He's also smart & seems to have thought out an approach. This doesn't suggest that Bradley would be as impressive over common opponents or anything, it simply is about styles & where these two are at this point in their careers.
I only saw the first few seconds of your video, and already, I agree with you! I think Pac has WAY more to lose, if he is vanquished by Bradley, than if he was defeated by Mayweather. I think Pac will still have much of his dignity if he loses a fight against Money Mayweather. I am one of few people giving Bradley a chance. The past few Pacquiao fights have been disappointments, in my opinion, on the part of Pacquiao. And, presently, I now believe Mayweather has a great chance at beating Pac.

Bradley can have the greatest strategy, defense, and foot speed in the world, but that wont change the fact that he can't punch at all. At the end of the day, this is boxing, and you win fights by landing punches. You don't win by "isolating him with your feet and good defense".

While he did get the finish, Bradley didn't look great against a 40 year old Casamayor. Pacquiao hasn't looked great in his last few fights but it's the first time in a while he'd be fighting a guy his size. I don't see Bradley finishing Pacquiao but it's possible he could out point him. It just depends on how much speed Manny has lost in getting older.

I am using Hopkins vs Calzaghe as the blueprint for this fight. While Hopkins fought well and if you broke the fight down, he may have won, on the night, the flashy combo fighter (who was less well known) got the decision over a first ballot HoF boxer using the same exact formula.
@Dwyer, I am sorry, I must disagree with your prediction. There is no way Bradley wins a decision vs Pac. First off, Pac is a higher volume/flashy combo puncher while Bradley is a smother/in-fighter (a la Hopkins) but with very little power, any/all close rounds will go to the flashy/well known Pac. Bradley's style while appreciated by true boxing fans, is hard to watch for the avg viewer, so he will be perceived as spoiling or fighting negatively while Pac is viewed as pushing the fight

Great point on Tim Bradley's opponents. His most recent fights were against legit fighters who were undefeated; Lamont P., Luis A., Deven A. (southpaw). With legit KO power and excellent footwork. Pac has been prown to headbuts and does not fight as agressive with those cuts. If Pac throws a lot of punches like his previous fights before the Mosley fight then he wins by TKO. If he fights like Marquez III and Mosley fight, then I see UD for Bradley. Pac's got too strong of a chin to get KO'd.

Your assessment on Bradley's skill & potential game plan sounds convincing until we put things in perspective. Both fighters have a chance of getting caught. But TB is often sloppy w/ his footwork and aside from a duck doesn't have great defense that would be frustrating. And while executing the assumed offense, he'll undoubtedly absorb some neutralizing hard punches. Offense is the name of the game for both fighters. Lets hope TB doesn't lunge forward and knock heads. Should be a great fight.

Hey Dwyer, I believe it's a bad match up for Manny, not HORRIBLE. A prime Marquez is horrible for Manny. At least Bradley tries to mix it up, and when that happens, Manny usually lands his left, and lands hard. What Marquez did in the third fight was brilliant, he never tried to assert himself. Bradley's nature is to assert himself, so to me, Manny has a slightly better chance against Bradley.

Great analysis, I too am shocked that this fight is being made. Two factors that you touch upon that stand out are Bradley's foot speed & his defensive skill set. While PacMan is more exciting & offensive minded, Bradley has the youth, size, reflexes & skill set to win. He's also smart & seems to have thought out an approach. This doesn't suggest that Bradley would be as impressive over common opponents or anything, it simply is about styles & where these two are at this point in their careers.

I only saw the first few seconds of your video, and already, I agree with you! I think Pac has WAY more to lose, if he is vanquished by Bradley, than if he was defeated by Mayweather. I think Pac will still have much of his dignity if he loses a fight against Money Mayweather. I am one of few people giving Bradley a chance. While he did get the finish, Bradley didn't look great against a 40 year old Casamayor. Pacquiao hasn't looked great in his last few fights but it's the first time in a while he'd be fighting a guy his size. First off, Pac is a higher volume/flashy combo puncher while Bradley is a smother/in-fighter (a la Hopkins) but with very little power, any/all close rounds will go to the flashy/well known Pac. i usually agree with most of what dwyer says, but here i have to disagree...margacheato was another story...and timothy bradley will not beat pac unless he uses his head like he did against the road warrrior campbell......pac would get beat by floyd in the biggest showdown ever, here bradley will make it exciting but pac will KO bradley, please mark my words...peterson will get beat by marquez and we will get marquez pac 4 before floyd is willing to fight pac, who he can beat handily

completely agree. Bradley is an expert at smothering, i see nothing in Pac's arsenal that would defuse this. Plus Bradley has much better defense and head movement than anyone Pac's fought so far. I believe Floyd also thinks Bradley will beat Pac which is why he called Pac out just before the Marquez fight hoping to get his name in there before any deal can be finalised with Bradley.

Great point on Tim Bradley's opponents. His most recent fights were against legit fighters who were undefeated; Lamont P., Luis A., Deven A. (southpaw). With legit KO power and excellent footwork. Pac has been prown to headbuts and does not fight as agressive with those cuts. If Pac throws a lot of punches like his previous fights before the Mosley fight then he wins by TKO. If he fights like Marquez III and Mosley fight, then I see UD for Bradley. Pac's got too strong of a chin to get KO'd.

Ive been subed and like your vids,but no way ,think about it...Bradley is a inside fighter not a distance counter puncher.He can be slick but he will stay in Manny,s punch range and when he starts to get hit he will have to adapt to become a range fighter and with little reach and little power how does he keep manny off him. On another note Bob arum talks about Martinez not being a pay per view fighter,like Bradley is...now you know he is full of it.

Pacman doesn't need chicken floyd runner, perhaps chicken floyd runner needs pacman very badly because his legacy start deteriorating after what he did to ortiz. The reason why the fight not make it happen because chicken floyd runner asking for 70/30 split in which pacman wouldn't accept the share between them.
