  • So happy he survived and you were so lucky to have held him as long as you did.... I'm sure just holding him gently in your hands helped him survive as well. Those special few moments of warmth and caring is what helped him survive... Thanks for caring.... ;c)

  • @FamousEddieFortune :) Ya he is a beauty for sure. I love how bright he is! :) I was so happy he survived!! :)

  • I have a male Baltimore Oriole as a pet. We always find baby birds and rehabilitate them and set them free. When I was younger I came across two baby orioles on my neighbors lawn. One had a bubble on his neck, Avian pox. The mother came for the healthy baby but left the other. We tried to take him to our local wild bird sanctuary, but they wouldn't take a bird with pox. So we did our best to pop and keep the pox bubble clean. He survived, but missed migration, so he's been ours for 11 years.

  • @K9Connection122 OH wow,,, bless you for helping him. WOW 11 years!!! They sure are beauties,, Thanks for sharing with me!!

  • Great pics! I love these little birds, Here in MN we only see them for a short amount of time. Then they come back through at the end of summer on their way South. Saw them today for the first time since June. I was on here looking for an Oriole call to draw them in....found your video ...very nice and beautiful.

  • What a nice video :-) I'm glad you were able to comfort the Oriole and have him survive running into that glass door. They sure are beautiful birds! and boy do they love that grape jelly.. I haven't had much luck with the oranges so I stick with the jelly and sugar water...

  • @MoviesMusicNature Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. Mine do like the Oranges, I go thru 2 large jars of Grape Jelly a Week,, the Raccoons ate the Sugar water feeder. I have the Hummingbird feeders on very large hooks that the Raccoons cant climb will buy new Oriole Sugar water feeder next year and large Shepards hook. Yes they are beautiful birds! I look FW to watching more of your videos! :)

  • @NaturesFairy I just recently had problems with the raccoons getting to my Oriole feeder so I have to bring it in at night now. I go through about a jar a week of the jelly.

  • @MoviesMusicNature I like ur Oriole feeder.. where did u get it?

  • @NaturesFairy I bought it in my local birding store but I have seen it at Amazon also I think it was for $17.99.

    Kym

  • @KymsPink59Cadi He laid lifeless for about 15 minutes. I kepted him warm, when he was able to perch himself, I moved him to my finger,, he stayed 45 minutes. It was so sad to see him hurt but its also a special memory I shall cherish and so glad I was able to get pictures of. Thanks for ur sweet comments.

  • @Pequinito Thank you kindly for the sweet comment, :) Have a wonderful evening :)

  • That's so sweet. I love your colorful orioles, we don't have these birds out here. We have Tanangers, western of course. Anyway I usually put the bird in a shoebox for awhile after they hit the window, so nothing gets them while they are "knocked out" then when they wake up let them out....

    Thanks Nature's Fairy!

    Kym

  • @KymsPink59Cadi Hi, Thanks for the comment, I too have put some bird in a box after then got knocked out,, so sad to see them like that. Your very kind to also help the birds. :) OH Tanagers are so pretty,,, They havent migrated back here yet,, soon :) Your very welcome Kym,, Blessings :)

  • @NaturesFairy Hello again mother nature....I too am glad you take care of the birds and little "fellers" of our enviroment. I can't seem to answer you back from my comment box, all the words "go away" after I click on it....strange...I can't figure out why that is happening. Anyways.... thanks....for the videos..

  • @MysticMoonMaggie Thank you for the lovely comment! Its was so hard seeing him in distress. I was so happy when he flew off to join his mate. She was waiting in a tree the entire time. True love ♥

  • I had a bird hit the window the other day, don't know what kind of bird it was, But it did lye there for quite some time, But after awhile it came too and flew off.

I really would have had no idea what to do about it at that point, If it needed my assistance.

  • @PiperPointCreek I have added stick-ons and windchimes by my Slider door because I read that will help, but it doesnt. I have had many birds hit my door, some have not survived. I usualy hold them or put them in box, if after an hour they dont come around I take them to the Rehab place. Most get stunned and come around. Thx for watching! :)

  • :) I'm so happy to know that he is okay! Fairy power :P Blessings and Light ****

  • @vallkiriagirl YAY Fairies!! :) Blessings! :)
