  • Hi hi! Have you tried - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my work buddy got beautiful Six pack abs and lost a lot of weight with it.

  • cardio helps you grow..unless you do more that an hour. you need to workout/cardio/deficit your daily calories. if you do alot of cardio, then you intake more calories

  • I'm 6 feet tall, 178 lbs. I run almost every day, just to get rid of excessive fat. I also lift weights, so that the muscles keep their size.

    Abs also needs a lot of fat burning, if you want them to show.

  • @davef89 Cardio DOES burn muscle. I have been a Wrestler all my life and my Cardio levels being at its optimum level is a must. the problem with so much cardio is the loss in my muscle relatively fast. to counter i had to eat a good diet and consistently lift weights. when you see Olympic caliber long distant runners are they super muscular? no. because they run and burn all their muscle. If you cant find info on this then you are looking in the wrong places.

    And it has been proven my scientific studies, that 1-2 lbs of weight loss per week is ideal for both pure fat loss and muscle retention. So 100lbs in 6 months is healthy and its an awesome example.

  • I do my cardio in intervals, so atleast I know that I am doing something right. I like the phrase, "Inch by inch is a sinch. Yard by yard is hard." If you keep increasing the weight you are using by 5 lbs a week and slowly increase speed and incline on the treadmill, your dedication will take you to speeds and weights you never dreamed of achieving.

  • HI there I went through a huge wieght loss myself I lost 150 lbs and now I started on a wieght straning regumen. I am up to 160lp and by body fat sayed the same at 9.6 % so I asuume that wieght gain is muscle. my starting wieght was 160, I lost the wieght only from proper diet and only cardio, so I lost alot of muscle. I have some excess skin. should I concentrate on building muscles and burn the remaing fat when I satisfied with the muscle mass I gained or can I do both?

  • you vince... idk what's up with you saying u lose muscle but i'm training for triathlons right now, running 6-10 miles a day, biking close to 30-40 min a day and lifting... i've picked up 3 pounds in the past month, and my bench has gone up 25, squats are going up ridiculously, so are my other core and auxilliary lifts... so idk man, if your body can run and still lift and see results wouldn't that make lifting more efficient as well?

The only way a slow pace run will produce benefits on your body is a 30 min slow run as an additional bonus to burn more calories after your workout with weights. High intense run and interval training are way better for burning fat.

  • @matty2time P90X is better, Insanity will get rid of the weight, but it will also get rid of the muscle. If you decide to stop, you'll just gain all the fat back and probably be worse due to losing muscle.

    caloric deficite. it means your body uses more energy than it obtains thus creating debt in a sense. therefore your body uses the stored fat in your body to fuel itself.

    calories eaten - calories burned = a number. if that number is negative then you are losing weight, and if it's positive then you're gaining weight

    fat is Tom Venuto! Vince however..................he has a fast metabolism to START vs. a fat with hips bigger than his chest. Those guys have to work just as hard if not harder on everything (nutrition, workouts, timing of meals, etc....)

  • Losing 100 pounds in 6 months can't be healthy. Gaining that much weight or losing that much weight in that small of time frame will have many longterm repercussions on the body. Its a organic system, not a machine.

  • @guitarded401 As opposed to having those 100 lbs to lose? 100 lbs in 6 months would be a little high, but still just under 4lbs a week. Depending on how much you weigh, 4lbs per week is not unhealthy, especially compared to the health of someone that has 100 lbs to lose. The more you weigh, the more you can lose weekly in a healthy manner. For someone that has 40 lbs to lose, 2-3 lbs weekly would be ideal. Keep in mind, some weeks you'll lose more, some less. It's the average of 2-3 lbs.

    You DO need to do weight training. Your body needs a balanced exercise program to do anything efficiently.

  • sauna. requires 1200 calories an hour (dont be in there for an hour) . lowers blood pressure raises metabolism greatly

  • @piratelord99 calories are our fuel, we chemically process sugars into energy. everything you do requires calories EVERYTHING. so when you sweat in a sauna its not magic it requires calories, alot of them, to produce the sweat in your system and edventually pump it out to the surface, this requires your heart to start pumping faster seeing there is more sweat in your veins hence thinning your blood hence it has to work over time. it wont burn fat, but it will dramatically help out the calory

  • intake you had during the day. not to mention its just a good idea. to sauna and cold plunge before and after working out for 10 to 15 mins each. cold plunging will burn also 100 calories extra for every 5 minutes (altho you should only plunge for 5 minutes anything more is just kinda pointless) just from the shock and core tempturatue recovery. and ontop of all that it will balance out all stress harmones in your brain, detoxify all impurities in the body, and will prolly get you laid

  • I have to say I do like Vince's videos, but HIIT doesn't work for everybody, especially not me. I found that doing HIIT made me sweat less than running at a regular speed so that's what I do to lose weight. I've lost 53 lbs so far, I've around 14 left and I've been fluctuating for the last year and it's driving me crazy! I hope I can get it off before Christmas or the new year! I'm working very hard!!!

  • Blazed15, I would not place my bets on what "everyone knows." Common sense tends to be inaccurate or flat out wrong.

    Cardio will help you lose weight if you create a calorie deficit. Vince isn't talking about losing weight. He's talking about getting ripped.

    It's a fine line between slim and ripped. You can get 98% there but you will hit a wall. The more fat you lose the harder your body tries to hang on to it. Most will have to FORCE their body to shed the last little pouch of fat.

  • i lose about 2-3 pounds a day so i eat 7,000 calories a day... it really depends how you eat and how much you work out.

    one thing that i experimented with is replace all the fluids you drink with water and you will lose wieght.
