Saw this movie yesterday, and why the fuck does a colonel go into battle rambo-style in this movie instead of focusing on leading his troops from the safety of a trench? so unrealistic.
That really happened dude. Hal Moore moved around his command post checking on every company from time to time during the battle. He wanted to be with his men instead of being an armchair commander so he could lead by example and ultimately inspire his men to win the battle. Some parts of the movie with him fighting are yes a little exaggerated, but it is also more historically accurate than say a movie like Full Metal Jacket or Platoon.

It is realistic to the EARLY war. Which is exactly what it is meant to portray. If you want a movie that shows more like what you normally EXPECT to see watch Hamburger Hill. Each war has it's own flavor based on the timeline, early Vietnam was not the same war that took place only a few months and years later. (If you want another example, look up the Western Front, Christmas, 1914 and read about the Germans and Brits playing football. Then look at the battles soon after and the war we know.)

My unlce fought in the Ia Drang With Lt Col. Moore. He wasnt an officer but he was one of the trrops who was stuck with Sgt. Savage and his group that got cut off. He died in battle there.
Finally, i've found it. I was looking for this music for a long time and the only thing i found was Sgt. MacKenzie song and that was the only thing i found and i was getting sick and tired of people uploading the same fucking bullshit again and again.

Seals have never left a man behind. Never. Im not saying that because of some recruitment Video. They have never had a man captured or left behind.
in Vietnam their kill ration was 200/1.
They are the best of the best and can operate in places the SAS wouldnt go. plus from time to time the SAS looks to the Seals for help on Missions. and seals do the same with The SAS.

We feel safer with 200 (even retired) US Marines then 2000 strong US Army!

My unlce fought in the Ia Drang With Lt Col. Moore. He wasnt an officer but he was one of the trrops who was stuck with Sgt. Savage and his group that got cut off. He died in battle there.
