They are both very good bikes, its just down to personal preference really, the dt is 2stroke and makes more power becuase of this but the engine doesnt last half as long, the xt is four stroke and makes less power but is more durable and reliable in the long term, however it is not restricted in any way, just natrualy makes less power (12bhp stock)
