everyone please check out the video of my Oil painting. It took me 5 months to finish and its 4 feet by 6 feet. let me know what you think of the piece. the video is called - Monumental Oil painting- from start to finish
@koenbp as i said...your delusions CAN be treated...i doubt very much that anything you do will encourage me to cause myself any harm...i have no idea what you are on about..you are quite obviously bordering on some sort of insanity.. i choose not to respond to anymore of your ridiculous messages..but i am glad that other people will be able to read your dribble..it is sadly amusing if pathetic and pointless
@koenbp delusions like yours are treatable with intense psychiatric help and medication..i am content to be a 'nobody' as i do not need to impress the world..you on the other hand..need help..it really is pathetic that you hope to be an artist of repute when you have not done one painting that you are brave enough to post..i cannot be angry with you..you are unwell..terribly sad but..as i said ..help is available
@koenbp ..you are very amusing...the word professional means just that..it is your profession...you are able to make a living from it..regardless of your questionable taste picasso made an extremely good living from his paintings..i think you are incredibly naive to challenge the fact that he was a brilliant draughtsman..if you do not like the direction he took..look at his earlier extant pieces..and please..post some of your work for the delectation of the masses
@koenbp-- Picasso's father was an art professor who groomed his son from early childhood, much like Tiger Wood's dad with golf. Picasso was so talented he was accepted into art school at the age of 12. He was ALWAYS a professional painter. The Ultimate Picasso is a good biography and I would suggest you read it before you show your ignorance in a post.
this video inspired me to start painting. and now ive been painting for about a year and a few months. thank you paul for sharing ur beautiful work. ur very talented. love ur work.
Your a savage beast Paul! At first I thought you were painting in the nude (the only way to paint). I appreciate your selection in the soundtrack (first track very appropriate "Blue on Blue - white on white" I love Poor Leno too!)Where is the next installment?
at 4:43- 4:44 it skips and the painting is further completed, but anyway i like this guy he's talented, and for those who don't like this painting style (technique) your just trained to believe that art is only classical style, when painting is hardly even an old form of art at all, life like stuff is good too but you need to look beyond labels to find out the purpose of this painting.
very entertaining, I've been procrastinating all morning, but I guess its time to hit the canvas. I've been putting off two portrait orders, not as fun as painting Picasso, but it pays the bills, I'll check out your other videos when I'm done working.
Oh and to the guy making comments about Picasso not being up to par, you sound like Hitler choosing degenerate artists just because you cant enjoy art that doesn't look like a photo, grow up, broaden you horizons your missing out on a lot of art.
Just want to add that Dali and Picasso were friends. Dali worshiped Pablo. Pablo lent him $500 to go to the USA just before Dali became very famous. I only mention it because a couple people on here seem to say "Dali is greater than Picasso" but that is just plain silly. They are very different..and everyone has a right to their opinion, but in my opinion Picasso is the greater by any measurable standard (and even Dali might admit that). Just look at Picasso's output! Absolutely flabbergasting.
'Dont know what kind of "great artists" are you talking about...
Picasso was an untalented idiot who even cannot able to paint. Painted like a child. A child who cant paint'
Look at Picasso's early stuff, he started painting very representational like Vermeer and Rembrandt and so on, and i suppose they 'painted like a child'...And then he DEVELOPED, he experimented, he tried different things like his blue period, his red period and the black period and the cubism etc.
Too look through a book on Picasso is amazing, he was constantly changing. He didn't just stick to one thing like most artists do, in my opinion they are the boring artists, those artists who just paint a vase of flowers all their life. So it was good that he changed. Like the Beatles with their music started with She's love you and then did Sgt Peppers and so on...
Whether there is good or bad art, its all very interesting.
You are right Films2006. Sad that some people just hate what they do not understand (or are jealous of)..so they go on the internet and hate on Picasso, one of the greatest artists that ever lived. It's both sad and comical.
picasso and georges braque were geniuses, they created cubism, if you have ever tried to come up with something (reletively good) in a cubism style, its tough, its not about shapes, its about pulling the entire composition together with angles, which give way to shapes, if you look at pablo, and braques stuff long enough, you will see what i mean
For those who look down on reproducing works of the masters, there is much to be gained from it. Many of the masters themselves learned by this method.
wow u did a great job! how long and how much expereience do u have in art producing like picasso. im doing a major art project atm that goes for a year and im considering following cubism and abstract art and ive began with Picasso before looking at other ppl. so any pointers u could give me? and the back ground u start off with. what did u do to create it and how long did the works take to dry ?
lol why buy prints when you could just paint like a Picasso.. not bad... lol I coulden't get over the fact that the music playing during the 3rd painting is the same song that was played in the GIECO caveman TV AD. who sings that by the way..
Even Picasso had problems painting like Picasso; constant heroic invention and destruction. I saw an exhibition of his works in 1981. He was definitely something else. I like free copies so keep up the good work!
I could have sworn you were naked through the who video untill the very end.
Great work though, looks just like the originals.
