  • I'm confused how he knew SOMEONE would choose McFly as their favorite thing, and THAT card was the one chosen. any explanations?

  • I think I chose the confetti because it was the biggest picture and filled up the card the most satisfyingly

  • To all the people who say he uses plants, and "oh this is how its done, I know everything". Explain this one then geniuses

  • everything i see with derren just blows my mind. i have no idea how he does this. Ok. Actors and stooges. i'm still like yeah right.. he has to be pretty accurate with the frisbee.... This was the coolest ending. ever.

  • Thank you Derren Brown for introducing me to McFly :D :D

  • one of my favorites

  • Darn it, Took away MY guess! lol.

  • i gotta look up more songs by MCfly they sound awesome.

  • @ManosthehandsofBones Man, I thought that song was absolutely terrible. It seems thrown together on a shoe string budget. Very simplistic songwriting. Not that simplicity makes it bad, just that I don't think the song would be representative of the band's popular music.

  • Nothing is random rulez.

  • Wow!

  • This Video definitely deserves 10000 times more views and likes than it has now.The ending is a masterpiece!Leonardo Da Vinci created Mona lisa, and now Derren Brown created ENIGMA!

  • @Stringfreak Well said. Derren's performance is far more impressive and unique than any other live stage performance I've seen to date. I say this regardless of whether or not Derrin is using trickery and shills... He's a showman extraordinaire (and artist) and evokes the same wonder and emotion from viewers as any great work of art.

  • This has to be the most outstanding climax of a magic show I have ever seen!Who cares how he did it?who cares whether the picture's were switched or forced or anything tricky took place?Sometimes when you experience something so wonderful, you dont even wanna know how a trick is done.As derren himself mentions in his book "Absolute Magic", magic is not about the tricks, its about that feeling of child-like wonder that you experience from it. This is exactly the best example of that. 5 stars.

  • It is testament to a great storyteller that I keep watching the last 4 minutes of this show just to admire his craftsmanship, rather than going back to part 7 and trying to work out how he did it! Good work Derren, Good work indeed.

  • Holy. Fucking. Shitballs.

  • One possible explanation for the Icecream: Derrin knows that she "fancies" #2. Therefore among the "random" [but nothing is random] and "meaningless" clipart it is reasonable to assume (note that Derrin does not indicate high confidence) that she'd be thinking of an item that is associated with dating. My first suspicion is that Derrin predicted where each man would stand based on characteristics like height and attractiveness.

  • @Ieatutube However, I can't escape the notion that while such things are predictable, their complexity, is beyond human comprehension. I may be simply over-thinking the problem.

  • @Ieatutube you really think ppl will sort themselves out according to how attractive they find themselves among a group of others? And please note that Derren always gives you the impression he wants to give you. He's an ultimate showman.

  • @fatfacerick Point taken. I would like to add that it is very plausible (although not predictable enough for a stage performance) that participants will position themselves according to characteristics of "social dominance" which is determined by genetic factors such as intelligence, height, and general attractiveness.

  • @Ieatutube Hmm... height, I can dig. But attractiveness is so subjective. And how do they know each others intelligence? Eh, either way, that shit is just ridiculously fascinating.

  • @fatfacerick That being said, Derrin is the ultimate showman as you so deftly emphasize. I'm merely speculating while Derrin himself is one of a very small number of people to know the "truth" behind his trickery. On a side note, I've come to believe that Derrin is using shills in this performance. He upfront states that he is performing the "medium" skit the way it used to be done (which included using shills).

  • @Ieatutube Yeh recently I've been thinking that there are stooges all over the place too. Even though he constantly says he doesn't use them, he is after all a magician, and most of what magicians do is just plain lying.

  • @fatfacerick I think this is generally agreed upon.

I think most magicians would admit that they are just using trickery or deception in some way or another, but it can still be fun.

  • @fatfacerick Regarding attractiveness as subjective: My hypothesis is that confidence and attractiveness have a high degree of correlation. The confident man will position himself at the forefront of social interaction. While some studies suggest men can agree on what "beauty" is while women cannot, I think we could agree by general consensus that some men are more attractive than others using objective criteria such as height, facial symmetry, muscularity, [and ultimately self-confidence].

  • The ending is a masterpiece.

  • I picked the egg :(

  • @roboneko77 I found it almost difficult not to pick the confetti. My eyes are naturally drawn to the confetti. That particular picture had far more depth and vibrant color and less drab associations. Regardless, he's not saying everyone picked the confetti, only that most of the audience did. The confetti is also not likely to be chosen by the female subject because it has less potential for meaning (positive or negative associations) than the others.

  • If Derren were interested in women, he'd get so much tang.

  • i heard him say in the first part of the show he slipped the word mcfly into sentence where it shouldn't have been

  • This is fucking brilliant entertainment. Fuck your theories of trickery and magic, this is BRILLIANT entertainment

  • SING ALONG EVERYBODY!!!

  • Brilliant show! I love Derren Brown! He's such a comical and charming mentalist performer. And frankly that's one of the best endings I've ever seen in such a show, in my opinion :)

  • i would have chosen the egg tho..

  • He's shit if he's wrong, lol... anyway, I really don't like this show much... not much to contemplate about human psychology, just a system

  • @Mixikyr It's not meant to be entirely scientifically or philosophically accurate about psychology anyway, he makes that clear about his shows.

  • how?

  • WOW WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!

  • I call shenanigan!

  • yeaaa, what the fuck

  • wowwwwwww.....

  • 7:15 'Hes shit if hes wrong!' :D

  • uh this needs about 69million more viewsthan it does right now

  • Great Show!!

  • Wow.

  • @KiwiSire I concur.

  • My mind was just blown.

  • FUCK! That was the most awesome ending ever. Easily the most entertaining and impressive part of the show.
