I have Solaris 10 on VMPlayer and wonder if i can connect to the internet. I know i can if i fully instal solaris and duel boot, but anyone know if i can through solaris running on the VmPlayer ??
@fringezipp i suppose you're referring to vmware player. wmplayer is for media files, lol. :) i've never tried vmware, but you should have better results using sun's virtualbox (google it, it's free).
And why is this big news? installing Solaris isn't really a big deal... If some one could give me an idea about why this is worth filming I would be happy :) unless it's just one of those look what I have installed vids... :P maybe I should bother people with my gentoo box install lol then people will get really mad haha especially after GUI compiling ^_^

urgh I had to use this at college. After a few hours of this I was GLAD to get back to Windows 95. And I hate Windows....

it's not. But there is a distrobution of openSolaris balled BeleniX which uses Xfce and Is a live cd.

It's installing Solaris on platform X86 and not over platform Sparc.
