And for the rest of the story, his troops call him "Blind Xaihou" wich pisses him off. lol

hmm actually no, in the book Xiahou eats his eyes coz he said that it's part of his body and it was given to him by his parents and only they can take it away, so he eats it so it doesn't go to waste (it's a weird concept, much easier to understand in chinese)

But, Xiahou Dun (and all the others) existed in history, since the war between these 3 kingdoms actually happened, and I assume that he wanted to keep his strong front up in the battle. (who knows what they were really thinking)

You can buy the whole series on eBay. Well, the qualiti can be better but they speak Chinese only and the English subtitle is kind of screwed up sometime. Sometimes, the whole sentence can be wrong and it is quite confusing.

My personal opinion is that ur video focuses on Lu bu, but there are hundreds of other characters and events which are just as important if not more important. Perhaps you should shift the focus a little bit, because Lu bu appears in less than 10 chapters, and theres 80 chapters in total.

I agree, or othewise it might seem you have only read 1/4 of the book. The Three Kingdoms period is very important time in Chinese history and pivotal to what came after. No other warring period of division after was as important as this.

We have the Cantonese version on video tape and the Manderin version on VCD. It is very good TV, the book is pretty long.

The TV show is based on the book, so you have to read the book for originality. The TV show covers most of the important events, but it does skip some parts of the book. The languages in the book is not like today's language, so it may be confusing at first, but once you read a few chapters you should be able to get used to it. It is well worth the time and effort to read it.
