This is nice! Texas doesn't do anything like this. I've only heard a handful of military bands in our region of Texas play Golden Bear. Very nice and clean.
Take a look at the instrument angles of all of the instruments in the band. They are perfect.If you are anal about the details everthing else falls into place which equals a great band and a great performance!
I feel like the camera robs some of the sounds of the band, knowing the "Arcadia sound". Either way, it wasn't Arcadia's best performance, but in no way shape or form should they ever have gotten such a low score in showmanship...obviously some bias going on...but hey it happens in Norcal, in Socal and nationwide.
I have watched other videos of Arcadia and this one was not their best performance but was damn good considering they had to travel up to Napa from way down in SoCal. Next time Arcadia comes to Northern CA. I hope they consider appearing at the Central Ca. Band Review in Merced. Now that would be something!

dont the showmanship judge realize that norcal is dif than socal? i mean, he cant dock off points because of THAT, just cuz they marched their band traditinally and not make shapes and stuff...
bands in NorCal dont make shapes during parade.... actually the only bands that ever do that are really small and need it for points. But I agree that Arcadia is by far freakin amazing and deserves everything they get, and sometimes better!

Yeah, that sounds about right. But I'm pretty sure that they didn't dock off points because they marched traditionally. Fairfield does it， Benicia does it, Golden Valley does it. No one takes points off of their marching. So the judge probably legitimately thought they didn't march so well. That's the judge's call.
Great Job. Even though you didn't win sweepstakes I hope you handled your placement with more class than those hypocrites at World of Pageantry. I guess when WOP advocates respecting judges opinions, they mean only SCSBOA. Great job Arcadia.

Wow, a GREAT performance by Arcadia up here in the North! I really think Arcadia should've taken Parade Sweeps (that Showmanship spread was ridiculous). The marching was great, as was the music! Congrats on those sweeps, and I hope to be able to see you guys up here again sometime! Maybe even bring Mt. Carmel and Rancho Bernardo with you. :D
