why do people have to game using bootcamp when playing on a mac? i just dont get it. the computer itself can handle it but the OS cant??? that just doesnt make any sense to me. someone please explain...

@IgnorantBananaPeel Because Most games get developed for Windows (DirectX). I tryed StarCraft 2 on Mac OS X and in Windows 7. Mac OS X gave me half the FPS compared to Windows 7. That is a significant performance gap. Only a few games run the same in Mac OS X as in Windows, Portal 2 is one of those games.

Stop making computers video if you don't have a screen recorder. If you film a computer and the subject is the quality of the graphics, that wont be helpful at all.

@xXTigiligidouXx The subject is fps / settings / graphics / apple computers / bootcamp. I think that things look fine with a cam. It's okey if you don't like it, there are more people making game vids with chobby screenrecorders. Enjoy!

@jonasgram8 Don't know what it is. I had some periods with the same problem. But most of the time it was fine. Are you running the game in Mac or Windows? Either way check the amount of RAM the system is using during gaming. Mac (Activity monitor) and Windows (Taskmanager). If it's at it's max an upgrade to 4GB ram could solve it. Make sure your software in Mac or Windows is uptodate. If you're playing in Windows get the latest version of bootcamp of the apple support site.

@iStaunchYou that's your opinion. Most games are windows only, so if you have a mac and you want to run a game on it it's likely that you have bootcamp running. My vids just demo games running on a mac even though the os is windows.

Btw for all you PC Desktop / Game lovers out there. I didn't buy this computer as a game-rig. This is my workstation on which I game every now and then. Game-rigs are cheaper to build, with even faster graphics etc. I know.
