Achuete or annatto seeds can be bought at groceries. They're usually placed in the spices section near the pepper and bay leaf products. Hope it helps.

great! thanks for posting. i tried this recipe at my daughter's birhtday party in singapore last week (pinuno ko ng maraming hipon, pusit and mussels kasi mura doon!)and thanks to you. the pinoys missed palabok ihalos maubos ... the non-pinoys loved it. at sila ang umubos salamat again.

Mas masarap talaga kapag may cream... you can even use it when cooking spaghetti. Try it, you'll love the difference! :-)
