  • its the first thing i learnt in my bjj class...learn to tap!!!!!..does he get broken limbs in sparring in class too????!!!

  • shulda tapped

  • holy shit

  • OMG!...did the camera man pass out?!...lol

  • and for the guys who say "tough shit," you need to watch GSP vs. Hardy. He could have broken Hardy's arm twice and gave it up because he didn't need to. Why? because he dominated Hardy. Breaking some guy's arm in a regional amateur competition for a piece of tin is en par with fisticuffs in amateur ice hockey. It's bad sportsmanship. Grow up. You want to break arms- turn pro.

  • @thunderbaloney I agree he did dominate Hardy but that is not the reason he didn't break Hardy's arm. He didn't break it because he couldn't it was a sloppy arm bar and while it looked to have a lot of pressure on it, it didn't anyone with BJJ experience could see how sloppy it was.

  • TAKE OF YOUR BODY! YOU ONLY GET ONE! If you're beat, you need to tap. I don't compete because of this type of macho attitude. If you search "bjj armbreak" you'll see most of it happening in competitions, and most of it would be prevented if people would just ctfo. If you're beat, tap. It's bad sportsmanship to not.

  • there needs to be a highlight of accidental broke(s) in jiujitsu comp.

  • i heard it broke like a chicken bone..-_-

  • THAT MAKES ME JUMP IN PAIN ...WHEN I HEAR IT SNAP!!

  • People are so stupid, saying that if you're competing against somebody who won't tap, just don't submit them. If I get a submission, I'm cranking it, as a hard as I can. If they don't want to tap, tough shit.

  • That is a risk of competing in a Jiu Jitsu match. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't really comprehend that until it's too late. I agree with wizduels, I would rather lose a match knowing that I forced a submission than break an opponent's arm for the sake of competition. In terms of self defense, I would prefer to use chokes, but I would break the arm if necessary. Ultimately, though, it is a competitor's responsibility to tap for his/her own safety.

  • I hope hes ambidextrous..

  • ....breaks the shoulder....

  • i broke a guys arm with an omoplata at a NAGA tournament. i felt really bad but im not gonna lose cuz hes too stupid to tap

  • @ognimoddd jk lol but i saw some guy do it

  • Yeah no control, you never pull a submission that hard to snap the joint. He accelerated his arm way to fast for him to tap. The guy below me is right, tap it or snap it isn't good thinking for anyone training in jujitsu or any submission training at that. If you forget you are training to learn.

  • that was a disgusting kimura why would you not tap what the fuck

  • Black Gi dude has no control at all. He shouldn't even be competing. I would never press for a win at the expense of risking injury to my opponent. If I have him in a solid submission and he just won't tap, I'm not going to force it and risk breaking his arm/leg/shoulder whatever. I'd rather give up a submission and lose a match over doing permanent damage to my opponent.

  • @wizduels I know him personally and your kinda wrong. First thing you learn is to forget your ego and tap when your in trouble. Guy in white forgot that lesson and look what happens

  • @Matt4792 you miss the point of what i was saying. if you run into someone who has an ego problem and just won't tap, if you know what your jujitsu can do to someone you won't push it far enough to snap the joint. i believe that learning jujitsu, practice and competition is about helping each other become better martial artists, and i don't see how 'tap or snap' mentality fits into that line of thinking. however, i do realize that accidents do happen. but he pushed that arm so far back...

  • shit! it made me jump when it snapped!

  • FUCKKKK That hurt!

  • haaaa mierda que dolor

  • He learned his lesson since he won't be able to wipe his ass for the next 8 months.

  • how the hell do you not know that you should tap?????? its common sense it doesnt matter how new you are to the sport if your competing you should have probably rolled with some people and known that they tap when something hurts!!!

  • The rookie must have thought this was WWE, where submission holds only give you pain and make you feel dizzy...

  • why no tapping or scream!

  • HOOOOOOLLYYYYY SHIIIITTTTTT ........... that doesnt hurt

  • no man you cant feel a thing :p what do you think?

  • That was pretty damn brutal...

  • Comment removed

  • he probably was in shock that the guys shoulder snapped......call me a bitch, but i woulda tapped, fuck that

  • not been a bitch, it's just swallowing your pride and knowing your better off tapping and then getting back in there and trying again, rather then been a retard and getting your arm broke, putting you outa training for a good few month...

  • no. its stupid if u hanna be brave dont tap on a choke ul just pass ou.. but not tapping to that is just plain stupid... it can cause some serious damage and can ruin ur career

  • thought he could take the pain and get out of it

  • not many things on the internet make me shudder, but this was one of them. i hate the noise of a bone snapping

  • Wow is must had feel very good...

  • I haven't even started BJJ yet, and I even know to tap when they get it that far back...

  • that might not be good??? lemme watch that again....OH OK yeah thats bad.

  • last night I beat some super ultra (never been hit and can beat someone without hitting them) wing chun sifu . ROFL!!!!! and i don't even do BJJ, I do karate and judo LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fucking love the ude garami, cuz its tap or snap LOL

  • tap or snap

    damn

  • Zenos99, were you the guy that broke the dudes arm. Btw that was scary haha

  • ahh shit

    why didnt he tap? lol

  • he thought he was badass

  • "oh yeah, but i didn't tap."

"Yeah, but your arm is jacked for quite awhile now."

  • yea, but tbh alot of rookies dont kno when to tap, they think there is a way out or if they dont tap the other person will let go. some people do let go cuz they dont wanna hurt the guy, like in the hughes vs royce fight hughes could have easily broke his arm

  • dont htink royce would have tapped if his shit was broken in half

  • because he is a retard

  • i dunno man, helio gracie kept fighting kimura after he got his arm snapped

  • He had his name to uphold. This kid was just dumb.

  • ouch...

  • That reminds me ... gonna have chicken tonight.

  • you should'nt be making fucking stupid comments like that.

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK!!!!

  • holy fuck.....dude that snap made me cringe like crazy....mann lol

  • Where exactly does the bone break in this move?

  • spiral fracture of the upper arm. (humerus) I saw the x-ray. It was bad. It's back to 100%

  • made me cringe

  • ahhh that did not hurt

  • I cringed watching this...........

  • Ok serisously, I feel so freaking bad for that guy. I freaking got qeezy watching that. I never get qeezy man!

    God... ouch

    Why didn't you tap =[

  • This is the most stupit way to loose your arm for your entire life... I just can't understand what a rookie is doing in a tournament. At least a rookie that dont know how or when to tap !

You need to train a lot and to understand the discipline and it's dinamics before entering a tournament, and OBVIOUSLY his professor is a real asshole, he can't permit him to compete being just a newbie.....

I really feel very sad for this guy... : /

  • that's why i just don't trust some instructors man..they just don't know how to teach/watch properly

  • the instructer wasnt watching that match. well the person who broke the dudes arm wasnt

  • !!!

    Enough said.

My face was like this: 0o0

    No fucking joke.

XVX for life, R.A.S.H. 'til death.

  • OMG !

  • amateurs!!!!

  • What a fucking idiot. Your supposed to hold on your belt while the guy yanks you roll with the yank and roll over him..

    fucking rookie

  • you jerkoff. they were obviously ammy. get a life man.

  • You post a video of a guy getting his arm snapped and their clearly amateurs. It's called opinion. Your called a tit.

  • Your called a "Moron". I didn't post this video, you tool.

  • Your called a tit. tits on the rits. titties in your moms butthole

  • my first BJJ class i didnt know i was suppost to tap...

luckily i was rolling with more experienced guys that went easy on me :P

u say this was his first class, did he stop doing it after this? XD

  • He had been to a few classes. This was his first tournament.

  • my buddy mike knows this guy

  • The guy just didnt have the chance to tap out..

  • Yes he did - generally, when someone pushes your arm waaay back behind your own ear with ude garami, that's a clue to tap.

  • Oh yes he did. He could have been tapping from the second this video started, and probably before that. He was stubborn, and brave, but that comes with a cost, and he paid it. Tap early and often, even in a tourney. It's not worth it unless you're in the big leagues.

  • In big leagues is it Ok to get your arm or leg broken?

  • Azarazar, when I say "big leagues", I mean like the UFC or Abu Dhabi or something, where you have a whole career riding on a fight and thousands watching. Then you absolutely want to hang on to the last feasible second - and in some cases, even risk the break.

Of course, if you DO get popped, the ref will stop the fight and declare a stoppage. But hanging on and hoping for the best pays off in rare cases. It just better be REALLY important.

  • I was being sarcastic before, but now I thank you for a very reasonable response, rare on youtube.

  • Depends on the paycheck

  • The ref is a damned idiot. These are white belts ... the ref needs to step in when one fighter is at serious risk of injury and can't defend himself.

  • I made someones arm make aloud snapping noise before from a kimura and they were fine.

  • Yeah, some guys just takes the pain and doesn't really know that their joint is in danger. I think the guy that didn't tap learned a valuable lesson and so did the guy that was able to experience actually snapping the guy's arm. Now he knows what it's like and how hard he has to go to break someone's arm that it really could break their arms.

  • Holy shit couldnt the reff stop it, or did the reff just suck? But that snap was gruesome, jesus

  • the reff didn't do anything wrong. as long as your opponent doesn't tap, it's completely legal to break his arm...

  • breaking his arm wasnt on purpose. the guy didnt tap out...

  • yeah, I now. I just wanted to say that the reff didn't do anything wrong. He didn't had to stop the match, because nobody tapped, as you say.

    :)

  • Oh I understand that, but I mean if the guy was so inexperienced he didnt even know when to tap then why would you put him in a match in the first place?

Just bad judgment all around, not necessarily the ref's fault

  • so if the applier kept his foot over the head and applied the kimura would it have made any diference?

  • seriously guys, tap if u need to... none of this macho bullcrap.. your health is much more important that a juijitsu match. Feel really sad for this guy, hopefully he learns there is no shame in accepting defeat to a better opponent..just learn and come back harder..

  • he wasn't being macho, he was a white belt. he should learn to tap but even in the description it says that he didn't know he needed to. i agree with you though

  • couldnt of said it better

  • most guys do tap when they need to, especially if a limb is at risk. Fighters only really let themselves get squeezed when its a choke.

  • That is nasty..and cool at the same time.

  • ahhhhh shit that made me wince every time i watched ittt.

  • You should tap the second you're caught in a dangerous position. You don't have to wait until the pain is unbearable! People should value their physical safety over winning a jujitsu competition!

  • That ref was ridiculous. Should have been stopped!

  • i think i felt that, the refs horrible. damn that hurts

  • the problem how that kimura was applied which has happened often is that your other arm is also trapped hence leaving you unable to tap. But the kid should yelled something also he might not have felt the pain till its was a second from breaking so he didnt give up.

  • so how are u suppose to stop if u cant tap or yell out if its like a second or two before

  • This just happened to me 7 months ago.

It took 6 months to I get completely able to roll again.

    Man...it pained a LOT.

Kimura is a very very dangerous move.

My advice is: if your opponent lock a kimura on you, tap out. It's easier to escape from a arm bar than a locked kimura.

    cheers from Brasil.

  • shit that hurts. the guy underwent surgery I assume

  • Snap Crackle and Pop.

  • ooohhh, that hurts! I popped a guy's ankle once with a heel hook and it went POP! really loud. I felt terrible, but hey, it happens.

  • OMG!!!

  • That is a loud ass snap, holy god.

  • show the aftermath please

  • he's so tough he didn't tap.....stupid

  • Shoulda tapped. 2 minutes into his first ever match... That Kimura was locked solid. Ref should have jumped in and told him he was doing him a big favor!

  • You're right. He had a couple seconds to tap and the ref should have stopped a couple seconds before his arm broke.

  • "Against stupidity the gods themselves contend in vain!" (Schiller) - How stupid the guy in white is!!! I hope this teaches him (and we all) a lesson...

  • what a DUMB fuck... trying to show a warrior spirit in a gd grappling tournament?? he got what he deserved

  • Now I am hungry.

  • ur a dirty crack head

  • Kimura did that to Helio

  • tabernac.....

i don't know what was more disturbing, the sound or seeing the arm just lose resistance right after as if it wasn't even connected to his body anymore.

  • i hope the arm and shoulder is ok.the sound was awful

  • that was my arm

  • sometimes u dont have time to tap they just crank the hell outta ur shoulder

HOWEVER this was not one of those times. he coulda tapped. but i still feel bad for the guy

  • what an idiot... if you see that you are in this position.. tap out or say stop..

  • ey this was an ontario grand prix tourny wasnt it? 2007. i fought on that mat!

  • oh that has got to hurt. me iwould have been tapping like my feet where on fire tap tap tap tap tap tppity tap

  • fuck!ouch!

  • jesus....damn.

  • gross...i heard that snap...eww bad ref

  • Yeah, Tapping is there for a reason.. Hope he enjoyed the million dollars for that fight.. wait.. he probably paid to get his arm broke.lol

  • Whats interesting is that same hold and break is how the Kimura got its name, Masahiko Kimura broke Helio Gracie's arm near the same way.. and strangled his hard enough to make blood come out of his nose too. Judo and Catch Wrestling rule!

  • Sick I know but I LOVE that sound.

  • yea seriously, good luck whiping that ass!

  • OMG

  • so how did he want to escape from that kimura? i can perhaps understand that people refuse to tap (and sth happens to them) IF they're attempting to escape the jointlock somehow. personally i wouldn't put my health at stake but i accept they've got different priorities and are desperate to try their luck etc., but what the hell did that guy here hope for??

  • He won't be able to wipe his ass properly for a few months.

  • Holy S**t, Man thats gotta hurt. tottaly agree with people Learn to tap.

  • dude that's hecka nasty... and the boy needs to learn to tap.

and the ref needs to learn to stop matches... it was in really well

  • haha my cousin totally broke his arm!

    way to go jesse!!

  • you pathetic child...

  • holy shit

  • DAMN!!!! Damn it learn how to tap! If you lose challenge the guy again some other time, shit!

  • I loved the coach's reaction..classic. The kid on the bottom needs to learn how to tap. That kimura was locked in tight. The kid on top was applying it slow and correctly swung his foot over. Ref should have stopped it earlier in my opinion..

  • i lov ehow tht one guy kept getting in the way

  • That is the referee...

  • sooo, he's still in the way

  • That's true, but a ref who was worrying much about blocking cameras at the expense of the fighters' safety is not a very professinal ref.

  • looked like the guy had enough time to tap. must have fucking hurt, it is his humerus getting twisted til it snaps :|

  • oh fuck that

  • slow gradual control - the punk underneath was supposed to tap out but he was too tough in his mind

  • That is so gross but awesome at the same time

  • Gross! Obviously inexperienced white belts. Is the referee asleep?
