@DartmouthAlum96 I think because Craftsman homes are more about celebrating the "craftsmanship" of the detailing where a style like "international style" is more about celebrating the space. The pure space and how one relates to it. Each to his/her own. Now I'm not talking about cookie-cutters of n.america but elegant stark modernism. Hope you will have it in you to enjoy both styles. Cheers,
beautiful homes...i'm currently restoring an old craftsman home, myself & love doing research in their history, they are beautiful homes, that do radiate warmth : ) thank you for sharing...
2 things tho. The Blacker and Gamble houses by Greene & Greene are classified as ultimate bungalows & they're in Pasadena.
Also, it seems a shame that so many of the houses shown have painted wood trim. Originaly the wood trim was left unpainted but stained or fumed dark brown.
I appreciate your dedication to the Craftsman style. It has a very human feel to it, it lifts the heart. I like many styles, but I have a soft spot for Craftsman.

All that white paint makes my heart hurt. But the properly stripped and finished WOOD feeds my soul.

I think Arts&Crafts/Craftsman has now replaced Regency as my favourite.

Beautiful homes! Why are people so obsessed with ugly, boxy, generic McMansions when Craftsman houses have such a simple elegance to them?

Nice video. I saw you used some of my photos of Sacramento bungalows from hewnandhammered - good stuff! We have plenty more here too.
